C20 Dually Slosh Tubz EASY INSTALL
In this video, we purchased inner fenders from Slosh Tubz for the extra clearance the dually needed and to stop the rubbing. I walk you through the install process and also do a little extra with the battery tray and of course a little fabrication as most hot rod builds require a little modification. The entire package is coming together and she looks sweet!! Thanks to everyone that came out and spoke with us at C10s in the City as well as the support for the channel!

You guys better call Dreck from vice grip garage to get it started for you, lol
@@KerryJackson-kg7cs maybe he'd have some insight!
If they weren't so damn expensive, even just for the wire harness, I'd stay with TBI, but when I was investigating the surging, loss of power, and so on, after mom gave me the truck, I found that the TBI had at one point been set on fire. Not gonna be fun but might eventually do it. Great video, thanks for the clear explanation of everything. Definitely appreciated

@@aliaswizard6963 Yes, you'll either need to run an inline electric fuel pump which I do not recommend or an in tank pump like the 87 trucks
I just got an 81 2nd gen Camaro , im wanting to rip alll of the tbi wiring out, and put a new 350 sbc carbed, was wondering if you knew where the best spot to start would be and or what wiring needs to go? And what can stay!? Obviously Alternator, starter, battery and etc needs to stay..

@@LTD347 I've definitely thought about it!
Was the hardware kit label 88-98 for the OBS trucks? You should have a 73-87 hardware kit.
@@lolife999 you know what, you're right. This truck is a 88 so i thought it was correct but didn't think about the difference between one ton and c1500 having different bodies that year. Good call, total brain fart on my end haha
Great real world install video.
@@lolife999 thank you!
I have an 87 R10, lowered about 3.5-4" in the front. I retro-fitted the 73-80 inner fenders and while it helped, my tires still hit/rub on surprise bumps. 😕

Assuming this Swap has powersteering, why keep the giant 16 or 17ish looking stering wheel, wouldnt a 15 look better and give you more responsive steering action? Of the trucks you browsed in this video, I think my fave is that stepper at the end. I'm normally into the lowered stuff. But for some reason, that color combo (extra points for the cooler) with those mags just really struck me. Definitely nailed the late 70s off roader vibe.

how did you decide on where to mount the upper bag mounts on the frame rail?
After we installed the link bars to the rear end we raise it up to ride height. Then we installed the bag in a neutral position as far as inflated height versus aired out versus aired up, the upper plates are also contoured to where they're supposed to sit on the frame.
Sorry didn’t listen long enough.
No worries!
Did you have to get a special intake to replace the tbi? I hear the bolts are different.

We'll go cruising it it soon!
Seat option for bigger fellas. Me being 6'-5" switched mine out of an extended cab seat from a newer Chevy. The seat has a smaller profile so you gain some decent leg room. It's very easy to mount using the stock seat sliders and you also retain the forward tilt. Any of that new seat side action you were displeased with is also hidden by the stock retractable seatbelt setup.
That's a good idea! What year did you use?
This looks identical to one of my c10s lol
Really??
