I remember going to a Toys R Us back when Secret Wars were out. we ended up getting Doctor Doom that day, a figure I still have, but I also remember my mother specifically refusing to get Wolverine because of the claws. Didn't really matter much to me as I also didn't know who he was at the time either. I also thought Baron Zemo was some sort of bad guy Spider-Man.

My first Wolverine was the #10 - Toybiz Yellow. I was like 9 and just getting into X-men so I thought it was awesome. The main drawback for me was that the claws were designed "bent" and were too close to each other.
I was pretty much out of toy collecting at that point and my mom picked it up for me and I was like "hey, this isn't that bad." And then it was all downhill from there.
my first Wolverine figure is the 2002 Toybiz figure (masked). I still have it in the packaging. I have a couple of the latest 2016 figure from Hasbro. I painted the claws metallic silver.
:) those early Toybiz Marvel Legend Figures had some pretty cool blisterpack packaging with the comic and mini diorama... looks good for displaying. in those days, i would buy doubles of Marvel Legends. When KB Toys was going out of business, i bought up a bunch of Marvel Legends for cheap. i only found one of these Wolverine figures though... never went back to buy another because he didn't have an ab crunch.
I've been building up my wolverine collection. At a recent con I was able to get the toy biz apocalypse wave figures, both masked and unmasked, along with toy biz weapon x figure and weapon x from age of apocalypse. On top of those I found the new Marvel legends "old man Logan" wolverine at a flea market today for 17 dollars. Also won an eBay bid for the runner up wolverine in this video, and got him for only 20.50. Definitely building up my collection lol. Great list btw!

While on the hunt, he found an old man that was wearing a animal-like suit (wink wink) He used this to scare the mercs away. He and Wolvie worked together against them. The old man died while in battle, he said "You Know Logan...I wish I could kill all of those sons of bitches...I wish that this suit represented fear for them". After that, an enraged Logan found the mercs, killed them all and freed the children...al while wearing that old man's funky suit. Not perfect, but I kinda like it.

Yeah, it's astounding! It's almost like there was some sort of unofficial ban on X-Men movie merchandise immediately following the release of that figure. Hard to believe they'd ever actually do such a thing since the demand is clearly there.
The TB Series 6 Wolverine is still number 1 on my list but the 2016 Hasbro Wolverine is a VERY close 2nd. On the TB series 6, I like the angry expression on the face rather than the neutral face on the Hasbro one. Also the hairy arms and the claws are one of the best sculpts I've seen on a Wolverine figure. Only problem is that they get too warped but those descriptions are what makes it the best, IMO. I still absolutely love the 2016 Hasbro Wolverine figure.

I had to settle for the 3rd Ed. I believe that didn't have the face mask. It was still ok... but dang I wanted the masked one soooooo bad. At least it wasn't as big of a disappointment as when I got Ahab as a gift... that figure suuuuucked... Thank you +Toy Galaxy for the continued mind blowing explosions... Lion-O straight to the moon!

And I would run around the playgroud at my elementary school pretending I was wolverine because the ring gave me his powers. And consequently that is also why people didn't like me and I had no friends. Because I was mutant. Just like in the show. Anyways, the cartoon was cool.
They should just make a handful of interchangeable heads and then release a multi-pack with every outfit he's had in the movies. Knock it all out at once.

I recorded "Pride of the X-Men" when it aired and wore that tape out. Years later it was released on VHS and I wore THAT tape out. It was such a good pilot and such a disappointment that it was never made into a series.

astonishing wolverine is good but my problem with the figure is the waist articulations cuts right thought the X men logo belt so when you turn the figure it looks weird and ruins the fantastic sculpt

I ordered the entire wave as a case because I knew Deadpool and Wolverine were going to be hard to find. Wolverine, out of the entire case, was the figure I was most looking forward to. And he showed up with 5 claws. I spoke with customer service and they gave me a $20 coupon but that didn't put another claw on Wolverine's hand.
