Phil seems a knowledgeable lad. A shame that he sees about 3% of that £180/hr main dealers charge for this shit. Technicians deserve more, such an under appreciated trade.

When I worked at a main dealer as a apprentice I was doing about 20 oil and filter changes a week which they charged £160 each for, plus I was doing lots of tyres, brake pads, suspension work, cleaning the workshops and helping mechanics on bigger jobs and I got £120 a week 😂

The cracks on the rims are quite a common thing on [BO] original fitment tire cars with run flats.
Also keep in mind that once welded, the rim weakens around the weld and cracks more in the future.
Best advice is to replace wheels and tires. But keep running non run flats.

Nice vid and nice ride. Your steering wheel is on the wrong side but otherwise a nice 335D. My 2011 335D just turned 280,000 miles. DPF, EGR, and tune were done at 274K. Ran it stock up to then. At 280k replaced the front wheel bearings and are putting a new set of Koni struts and shocks on and refreshing all the mounts next week. All the control arms and bushings were surprisingly solid. On the plus side most of my miles are highway but I also drive it like I stole it from time to time. Looking forward to a much better ride on the new struts and to the next 100k miles. Best car I ever owned.

Main dealership charge £120 an hour usually (Audi and bmw here do)
The parts are usually 1/3 less than the labour, I prefer specialist independent garages over main dealers
they rely on people paying PCP and paying for service packages so it’s all bundles in (easy cash in for dealer)
They quoted me £40 for one wiper and got the same aero blade same for £8
They put loads of advisories to make you panic (I.e tyres and pads which would have enough on)
Always helps if you know someone at a main dealership :)

This advice comes out of love and respect just looked like that guy did quick walk around. Bmw did the same for me as I had 2 recalls so they did it for free. They did not find any of the faults that Munich Legends found except tyres.

My E46 is on close to 190k, if it's been looked after mileage isn't too much of an issue!

Hard to tell from video obviously, but I've never thought that's looked like a shed!! There's cars out there that you go, " That's a shed" .. but thought that looks good, it's barely done 15k a year that's nothing.
