You're not kidding, it just occurred to me I'd never seen Mir, and having seen it, if Matt was ever to just get really drunk and design a station, I imagine that's what'd come out.
Personally, I've never seen docking ports concealed behind fairings the way you have them in the side appendices you attached to the T module. That was very clever, I think I might use that one myself.
I appreciated the break down of anniversaries in space this week. I’m not much of a space person. But it’s how I got most of my knowledge of what had happened years ago aside from Apollo. So thank you for those important informative moments. Thank you.
You should get RealPlume. It's entirely compatible with waterfall. Waterfall configs take priority over RealPlume configs, so if an engine has both it will use the waterfall configs. Since waterfall doesn't have SRB configs the srb plumes don't look the best, so RealPlume will solve that.
irl you make a payload for a rocket, in ksp, you make a rocket for a payload. ksp makes it so you have few constraints for a payload, it's just "can you get it to where it needs to be without crashing the game" always good to see when people try using the same rocket for different payloads.
I think spacecraft docking automatically is pretty realistic. Even on Mir that was done. And when it wasn't it was almost a disaster. It's less fun though. also a shame the US didn't have the idea earlier to share missions and costs with others like Europe. Maybe Apollo wouldn't have had to die.
@@Yokohamasheep Yeah Apollo could still have been a thing and very much in use, the spaceshuttle just cost too much for what little it could do, and managed to "blow up" (in lose terminology), twice.

@@harcourtfentonmudd7980 I use Kerbin orbit space stations as a way-station for Kerbal rescue contracts. It has docked with it a very lightweight orbital rescue ferry with just command seats that rendezvous with the rescued Kerbals and brings them back to the station to wait for return to the surface. Since the rescue ferry only carries a couple of Kerbals it can fill up at the station using very little fuel and then go and collect some more. It can easily go out to the Mun or Minmus for rescues and circularize again back at LKO since it's mostly pure delta-v.
