    Hi, thanks for sharing your winter camping in the 620 truck camper.
    I hope will will do a video when you take the cirrus 620 in for warranty work. Show what was wrong and how they do honoring the warranty and workmanship.
    Appreciate your videos on the truck camper, this is the model I'm thinking about for myself.

      It was hardly winter weather when I was camping. It was 20° above normal, which is really strange. The things that are wrong with the camper are mainly little things. Screws coming out, panels loose, nothing major. I did get the extended warranty from RV Complete. If you get the camper, you may want to look into getting an extended warranty. My only real complaint with the camper is, the bed length. It is a short queen bed, so you lose about 4 inches in length. I’m probably going to buy a normal size queen mattress, and just let it hang off the end of the bed. Feel free to ask me any other questions you might have. Take care!

    You can darken the monitor.. go to your settings and select the monitor picture on the lower right side of the screen.. you can go full blackout or just adjust the brightness 👍🏽

      Thanks for the reminder! I forgot about the brightness settings. I maxed it out when I bought it and forgot to change decrease the brightness.

    We had a Scout Yoho on a half ton silverado and upgraded to a nucamp 400 with a silverado hd. Love both of those campers but the 400 has much more room.

      The Scout line up is great. I can’t wait to see the Tuktut in person. Enjoy your Nucamp 400. Thanks for stopping by!

    Water Canyon Campground is at the base of South Baldy Mountain (10,789 feet). If you take Water Canyon Road to the top, you will be at the Magdelena Ridge Observatory and the Langmuir Lightning Laboratory. The 2.4-meter optical telescope was made using the backup mirror for the Hubble Space Telescope. There is also an infrared interferometer observatory with a 340-meter baseline. Would not recommend driving your rig to the top. Single-lane road, lots of switchbacks, and very few pullouts for on-coming traffic (a rare event). There is a barrier across the road at the top to keep vehicles out of the observatory area. There is a small parking pullout and you can walk around the observatory and hike to the top of South Baldy. On a clear day, you can see Arizona from the top of South Baldy.

      Yes Sir. I’ve been up there many times in my Avalanche. I love that whole area! I think the Magdalena mountains are my favorite mountain range in New Mexico. I would like to get a tour around the observatory someday. Every time I go up there and they are working, I don’t want to bug them though. I did a lot of hiking around the lower area on my recent trip. Check out my other videos for information with that. Take care!

      @@Brian.A.Simmons I did a project for the Observatory and got a tour of the entire facility from the director of the observatory, Eileen Ryan. On another field trip, I had a tour of the Langmuir Lightning Laboratory. If you look carefully at the optical telescope and the interferometer buildings, you will see they have a portion that kind of resembles a motel. They have sleeping suites and a cafeteria in each building for the astronomers/scientists. They sleep during the day and work at night. The people you saw were, most likely, maintenance or construction personnel.

    Hey Brian, thanks for the video. I have the same truck and am contemplating a 620. How is the road noise when on the HWY. Can you feel the camper at all?

    • @Brian.A.Simmons
      @Brian.A.Simmons  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Greetings - Honestly, most of the time, I forget the camper is even on the truck. I don't notice anything different with road noise or handling. My only gripe with the 620 is the bed area. I'm almost 6' and it can be challenging with the sleeping conditions. There isn't a lot head room when sitting up in the bed, and the mattress length is too short. I did upgrade the mattress to a thicker short queen, but I should have replaced it with a normal queen mattress. Hope this helps.

    Nice video series on the 620 sir! How does this camper impact your rigs mpgs? My other concern is lack of kitchen counter space.

    • @Brian.A.Simmons
      @Brian.A.Simmons  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven’t really noticed an increase with my mpgs. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of counterspace with the 620. You do gain some counter space with the lagoon table installed, however, I rarely use it because it seems to be in the way.
