I made a length of regular Roundmaille years ago, but wanted more so I can make a weighted jump rope. For some reason though, I keep messing up the pattern and can't get it right. Hopefully I can get this one right instead

Does it have to be precise sizes of jump ring ?. Im in the uk and a total beginner but i cant find anyone selling 5/16th rings. The ones i buy are 5,6,7mm etc . Thank you
Hello! Using pliers that are smooth as opposed to the kind that are toothed for grip can make a big difference. Tool Magic: amzn.to/3Zid3BM can make a big difference in protecting rings and wires from pliers. I hope this is helpful to you!

Wow wonder what it would look like with small beads on the closed loop you drop in. Just a thought may try that.
