Or someone else jumped out and stole his bike.
I would have if I were a pedestrian in that instance.
To be fair, his original bike was most likely stolen as well, so you'd just be damaging some other poor guy's bike.

Right? I thought the same thing. Can you imagine being that car that fell in?. Talk about 💩 your pants. That was a nice thing for him/her to do, not only did they save others, but probably saved the people who went in from being crushed trying to get out of their car.

I'm hoping they were on their phone reporting it, but yeah, honk so at least the driver with the bike notices! Some people freeze in such situations though and don't know what to do.

Man, I have actually had the hood fly up on me while going 50 MPH. It was so friggin loud when it slammed into the window. Luckily, I could see through the TINY gap at the bottom. Scary stuff.
Me too. Picked my car up from a mechanic, never considered checking to see if the hood was latched. Blew open around 50, shattered my windshield, destroyed the hood. The douchebag mechanic wouldn't pay the damages, said I brought it in with a bad latch. I asked him how he thought I got it home? By closing the hood using the perfectly good latch. He agreed to pay but never did. Also never fixed the original problem.

I said a small prayer that the guy whose bike was being stolen would slam on his brakes while the douchethief was furiously pedaling towards him at full speed. That collision would've been an epic "eff you" moment.

Take it from someone who learned the hard way. It's an extraordinarily good idea to have 2 fire extinguishers in your car. A mini (about 3/4 the size of a shaving cream can) in the cabin and another larger one for the trunk (boot). They can also help others in a pinch.
@@SusanKay- fyi , the portable extinguishers have a gas foam in them and although won't put out a lithium fire , they will reduce the damage and smoke .
Or at least ran it over. It astounds me that the person in the car behind him just watched and did nothing, not even a horn honk, i would have gunned it and pinned the dick to the bike he was trying to steal
@@SusanKay- Small lithium ion battery fires can be put out with water, completely submersing the device in water is the way to go.

OMG, I would love to be in my truck behind that bike thief. As soon as he hopped off his bike trying to grab the other one, I would have gone all monster truck on his bike.
I would have runover the rear tire just enough to bend the rim into a useless piece of crap. Running right over the bike would probably end up in a flat tire for the car.
I'm disappointed no one drove over Bike Pirate's other bike, but I suppose that one was stolen as well. So I'm instead disappointed no one ran off with the abandoned bike before he ran back to retrieve it.
I so would of just drove over the rear wheel. No damage to my car but buckled the hell out of his wheel.
It can really damage your own car, so I don't blame them.

1:44 god those are the drivers that piss me off the absolute most. They sit in clearly marked 'EXIT ONLY' lanes until the very end and then try to slam over right at the turn point, then act like everybody around them is an asshole because they couldn't anticipate their stupidity. There are even some that try to pull that crap on a DOUBLE lane exit, forcing themselves across TWO lanes right at the goddamn turn.
The guy then tried a reverse Y-turn to face forward again. I think he learned to drive from playing Grand Theft Auto.
It happened to me when I was on my first road trip in the US. (and so far only - thanks covid)
We don't have those lanes that themselves exit, here in Europe, so it _totally_ threw me for a loop.
(of course, I had driving lessons from a licensed European instructor, not a parent, so I just took the exit and let Google Maps sort me out - only added like 10 minutes to my total, which is _far_ less than a collision)
Then, next time, I was prepared for it. But then it was a normal exit!

@@MrNicoJac Some do, some don't. I don't know the details of why, but in any case, they SHOULD be clearly marked. Signs fall down tho.
The one at the very end with the trailer. I train people to ride motorcycles. This is the perfect example of what not to do. The right thing to do is counterintuitive. When something comes across your path from right to left, go to the right. Steer in the direction the object came from and you will be where it was. They do this in NASCAR races drive directly toward the accident and by the time you get there it's moved out of your way.
Need more “Destination Fucked” and “Destination Hugged”. ( Never hurts to have more wholesome videos.)

That exact same thing happened to my bonnet when I was a learner. My dad freaked out, I stuck my head out the window, indicated and pulled over. I think I handled it pretty well 😆

On my driving test in Boulder, CO on a snowy and icy day with the examiner in the right seat, another car slid through a stop sign and into my path. I steered my VW bus across someone's front yard, bounced the examiner off the ceiling, and got back onto the street. I passed the exam.

It's not an Apple thing - remember certain models of Samsung phones were outright banned from flying on commercial aircraft. But yes, their right-to-repair policy does suck.
Came here to say the same thing. But Apple somehow manages to convince "the faithful" that their phones are flawless, and their iMacs are "not computers". They may not have superior technology, but they sure have superior marketing!

It had nothing to do with it being an apple phone . It's the heat from being on a black dashboard , probably in summer . Lithium batteries do not tolerate heat well and in this case it exploded . Many phones will shut down if over 60 degrees Celsius . Lesson : do not use or keep a phone in very hot conditions .

The airplane was doing a spin. A common exercise pilots practice in case they ever inadvertently enter one and know how to deal with and get out of it. Spins are actually a lot of fun. They were my favourite thing to practice in my flying days.
Nothing like pointing at the ground and applying the power - on purpose!

Is it true that most aeroplanes are only tested for recovery from spins that haven't yet made a full turn?
It's stall training... you can see the nose pitch up until it stalls and you apply opposite aileron and opposite rudder. Easy peasy.
Right out the gate, immediate flashback. Same thing, except mine smashed the windscreen and the hinges ripped into the bodywork under the window. I'm paranoid about the bonnet being secured properly to this day. Be careful folks.

Fantastic 🤣. Reminds me of the time I when a tire came of a trailer going in the opposite direction to me and the tired came bouncing at my car 🚗😬😬😬, I was lucky to have swerved and the tire missed me. My husband has never been so impressed with my driving 😊

On the road leading to the tunnel with the bicycle guy, the road authorities had made the brilliant move of placing the forbidden for pedestrians and bicycles sign between the roundabout and a bus stop with a dedicated pedestrian access way. I would think that bicyclist somehow came down that access way and entered the road with no way of seeing the sign. That said, said access way is from an excellent parallell combined pedestrian and cycle way built on an abandoned railroad section. I guess some cyclists are never satisfied with the alternatives to the main roads.
as a cyclist I fucking hate tunnels, and prefer to avoid main roads if possible...
but one time on an Norwegian island (think it might have been Senja) the only alternative was taking a 94 kilometer detour, so I just went through the tunnel anyway...
this particular tunnel seems very much like a car-only tunnel, absolutely no room for bicycles, so I guess Mr. Bicycle Guy must have been in a similar situation with the only alternative being a long detour to risk going into this tunnel....
@@JugglerOfWords there is a relatively new parallell cycle way built on an a obsolete railway line parallel to the road section with that tunnel, just above it, so still smooth surface and no frost-induced bumps. It is part of a numbered cycle way, so it even has cycle way road number signs.
@@MrXBT2000 numbered cycle paths on obsolete railways are normal here in Denmark, even some of the national cycling routes use them....
so I'm guessing this cyclists must somehow not have been aware of them, since choosing that tunnel instead is just stupid and almost suicidal...

I'm pretty certain we get the idea.
If your phone catches on fire while you're driving, pull over to the shoulder don't just stop in the middle of the road, it's not like your car caught on fire and it's unable to move anymore.
Had to rewind that one bit and watch it again. Whole car disappeared. Can't imagine the horror. One second you're driving, the next you're in murky, cold water.

I was 16, had just completed building my "oh so cool it's ridiculous" BSA 650 rigid chopper, pulling up to the bowser to refuel the stupidly small petrol tank, put my foot down in some oil, and went arse up. All cool instantly vanished. Bugger.😂
