    I ride an Orbea Gain gravel with the same motor set up, I average around 60 miles & 2000metres of climb on a full charge. I generally cruise at just over 15mph cut off so the motor only really works when I start climbing or hit head winds.For an ageing rider it's a great way of increasing range if you've a long commute or just being able to decide how hard you want to ride on any given day.

    • @br5380
      @br5380 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've a low-power MTB, yesterday I rode 20 miles & 5,000ft of climbing in just over 3 hours, used just over half the battery. Just need to stay out of turbo mode and it's quite surprising what they'll do.

      Hi. Is it an On-Off system or does it have some torque sensor to tell the motor how much it has to support you? (Sorry, not an English speaker)

    You must have been riding an awful lot of the ride over the 15mph cut off to get that sort of range. Most mere mortals would struggled for their battery to last that sort of ride as it's only 250 watt hours

    This almost mirrors that day I had as a motorbike courier when i had a 'run' up to manchester from london, and doing just a tad more than the national speed limit officer, my panniers managed to slip onto the exhaust and caught fire and I lost all my belongings including credit cards somewhere along the M56. Managed to deliver a scorched parcel to the recipient but only had about 3/4 of a gallon in the tank to get to Nottingham where a mate lived. It was the slowest a Honda CX500 had ever been driven over the Peaks but i managed to roll into Lenton on vapours. Nothing to do with cycling, but hey! Just thought i'd share!

    Like you videos in general, but I think the distance needs a fact check as most e bike riders will be very surprised to hear a range at 160>180km out of one charge, especially as you said the 100km you did was in max power mode, unless you actually had the range extender fitted which i believe is an option, though as you stated 18mph when the legal limit is 15.5mph for the motor to disengage perhaps your not up to date with this tech ? In the end this is a sponsored video, so likely to be a little bias (they always are from everyone) but the mileage i think is just misleading, 250w battery in sub zero temps... hmmm. not convinced and yes i do have an e bike so used to seeing real life distance.
