I agree. Even though they slept in cushy hotel beds they will remember this for the rest of their lives. I bet they are already thinking about the next trip to make. I've been a lifelong cyclist. Never owned a car and i used my bike fro everything. Strangely though i only did my first long range tour when i was 45. 1000 miles in ten days from devon to deep into germany. Then the trip back. By the time i got back though i was done with biking for a bit. I did not even want to look at my bike. Since then i rode from devon to harrogate to see the worlds this year. The first time I rode my bike for 100 km which took me well over 8 hours and my body hurt like hell for the next few days. I can't imagine how long these guys have been cycling that they could cover 170 km in a day and still have the energy to continue doing this for almost a week. Glad I found this channel!
I did a similar thing this summer from Cambridge where I was working all the way to Italy where I am from. 1700 km in 10 days and it has been one of the best experiences in my life!

cycling is all about how much pain you can put up with and for how long. if you're into the "runner's high" or the "bench press high" then you'll love it
I can't recommend bicycle touring on skinny tyres like these guys. You will be confined to the roads where it is dangerous, noisy, smelly, ugly, and - worst of all - lacking in adventure. A mountain bike is perfect for roads as well as trails, so it's the best of both worlds.
Let me warn you, train, train, train. I once tried to walk to London, around 75 miles. I ended up being in a state where I literally couldn't do a single step for 3 days. I only managed 40 miles and had to call for help. So there's that. My legs literally gave up.
Haha if your parents let you. I'm 16 and really wanted to cycle to Dublin from cork to complete my first century. They wouldn't let me go. Had to do the same stretch of ten miles ten times and that was not cool.

I cycled around central italy with one goal. See the part of the country I come from while wild camping every single night. I loved it. Spent zero (actually, spent more than usual for food due to larger calorie consumption), got a nice tan, seen so much, challenge myself to always find a hidden spot and got much fitter on those Apennines mountains.
maybe bike. Im in college and as classes were being moved to online, I was considering biking up from San Diego to maybe San Francisco and back (about 1000 miles roundtrip ~1600 km) planning on doing it over the course of two weeks-ish (like 70-80 miles ~120km a day) But in case of an emergency in this time when its hard to get treatment in a hospital, its not a good idea. I still want to do a 70 mile roundtrip in a day
This brings back memories of a group of us riding from Ny to Boston via LI North shore on the weekend. As soon as we got into Boston we would hop on a plane with the bikes. Back then no tickets or id needed. They would let us onto the tarmac to give the bikes to the baggage handlers directly. Fully assembled. No charge for the bike. 20 mins in the air a flight attendant would take cash. ($35) Back to NY in 45 mins. ... in the same clothes. No luggage at all. Roughly 120 miles each day.
Really enjoyed this video. For years I have been wanting to get a bike and try this sport out , last month finally ordered me one , hope I can make a wicked trip like this in my future
It's funny that you spend the whole week eating cheese and ham sandwiches, pizza and croque monsieur with fries, but you come with the unhealthy food disclaimer once you go to McDonald's 😄
when there's a 10% chance of rain and you are going long distance point A to B, there's probably a 50% chance of getting wet. it means 10% of the coverage area for that forecast is getting it.
Well done lads. Crackin' idea about the one-way flight. I did a solo 1400km, 13 day tour of South Korea last August. Regret not taking my GoPro now after seeing your video. But wanted to reduce as much weight as possible. Once this Covid19 virus is over. If you lads want another challenge. Get yourselves over to Korea. Great bike trails over this way.
Happy memories - two years ago I bought a one-way ticket to Zurich and cycled home. Assembled the bike in the baggage claim area at Zurich airport, as the luggage trolleys wouldn't take a bike box due to their idiotic design. Telling friends I'd bought a one-way ticket to Zurich was amusing - I got asked whether I'd robbed a bank or something!!
Nice trip, and inspiring video. Thanks for sharing! I did a similar trip to this a few years ago, biking city 700km away to meet my girlfriend (who went there by train a couple of days later). My arse was so sore I could hardly walk the first day of the holiday and I don't think the gf was particularly pleased by my decision to ride there, but she did at least congratulate me by phone when I arrived the night before she arrived. Not having a detailed plan also opens you up to some interesting experiences, although I'm guessing it might not be the best idea in places like the US and Australia where things could go really wrong if you don't prepare.

Whos here during covid 19 wishing they could fly ...anywhere?!
I still want to do a 70 mile roundtrip in a day
some flights are still operating btw
@Mister Physics met some italians visiting here was well confused
Meeee
fly? i am wishing i had a job, let alone fly
I've done the El Camino path from South France to East Spain in 9 days (900km) with the bike.I understand the struggles, but its all worth it!
French guy: looks out window, sees 2 English guys on bikes in lycra blurting AJ Tracey out
Turns around confused af
This brings back memories of a group of us riding from Ny to Boston via LI North shore on the weekend. As soon as we got into Boston we would hop on a plane with the bikes. Back then no tickets or id needed. They would let us onto the tarmac to give the bikes to the baggage handlers directly. Fully assembled. No charge for the bike. 20 mins in the air a flight attendant would take cash. ($35) Back to NY in 45 mins. ... in the same clothes. No luggage at all. Roughly 120 miles each day.
YEEEEEEEE BOI
BOOOOIII
Monica Dew wot! “Jonathan Drayton Junior”?

This is one of the best video on TH-cam 👍
1:46 ah yes leaving the dogs outside for a week as you do :)) keep up the good work bruh
Really enjoyed this video. For years I have been wanting to get a bike and try this sport out , last month finally ordered me one , hope I can make a wicked trip like this in my future
I'm locked out 2000 km from home due to COVID 19 , now planning to cycle back HOME.
Did u do it
Awesome cycle scene. Wonderful place. Amazing video.
That strapped up baguette is brilliant! Made me LMAO
Nice music selection. Good vibes, this is inspiring!
"bye i'm leaving house"
*closes door, lefts dog out and go in house * :DD
Easily some of the most amazing vids mate 👍🤝
Baguette mud guard for the win!!!
Maybe why he got a sore throat? Or because it was strapped down to the bottom of a flip flop 🤢🤮
It also went through so much bacteria and road pollution
Epic video! Thank for bringing us !
4:50 * angry french noises * (that's not a croissant that's a pain au chocolat)
It's a chocolatine....
youcantcme2 they are in northern France it’s a pain au chocolate. Keep to the south
Beth Hague Nah mate. TeamChocolatine4Life
hahaha pain au chocolate means bread with chocolate. I love french
Chocolatine is spanish propaganda and pain au chocolat is the real deal. : ^)
Guys this is awesome, really looking to get into this type of riding. Have liked and subscribed
Loved how he just called a 'Pain au Chocolat' a 'Croissant'. I can tell that 'Pain au Chocolat' was very offended
I didn’t see a “PaiN aU ChOColAT”, only a chocolatine
Maybe it identified as a croissant. Don't be such a bigot. /s

I only discovered Cameron's channel 2 days ago and I'm already full invested. Some great content on here, bro. 👍
anyone else questioning why he keeps his milk in his room not in a fridge HAHA
I too keep my milk in the room but by the window bay when i was in north east England since it's cold enough, except during summer
@@LouisSiah milk doesn't last long out the fridge in the UK either I'm British and can gaurentee if you leave it out legit would go bad
@@jgilly3362 true if too long but i finish my 6 pints in 3 days and it seems to be just fine hehe
@@jgilly3362 one thought for you: people have been drinking milk much longer than we've had electric fridges.
Great to see you back cam but got to ask where is the colonago and the kit
Daniel Humphris he probably had to give it back/not use it for the time being at least due to his suspension
Ryan Shane I presumed so but it still says he rides for saint piran on insta so wondered if he decided just not to ride it
Nice bagguette storage!
Lad. Absolute lad.
