Noctigon KR1 review - pocket thrower with Anduril

Hello Guys, Flashlight Enthusiast here. After reviewing KR4 from Noctigon it's time to take a look at his younger brother KR1. Mine came with XP-L HI 2850K 90 CRI. Excellent pocket thrower with stabilization. Enjoy!

Took mine out tonight for it's first run outside - wow! Eats my FW1a and is right up there with my M2x-UT. I'm really impressed. I'd like it better if it didn't get quite so warm on the higher outputs but for the money, this is an absolute bargain.

Yes - something like Sofirn IF25 or BLF LT1 with tint ramping :D

FW1A will have similar power, but less concentrated beam due to smaller reflector, hence less throw compared to KR1

Jaki zasięg ma ta latarka bo planuję sobie taką sprawić i pytam z ciekawości. I drugie pytanie . Mając już fw3a to wybrał byś Noctigona KR4 czy KR1 ?

600m na diodach Osram, około 400 na xp-l Hi. KR4 jest trochę lepszy od FW3A, ale to podobna konstrukcja, więc pewnie KR1 będzie ciekawszym wyborem jak nie chcesz mieć dziesięciu takich samych latarek ;)

Is mechanical (half turn) lockout possible?
How is the heat on Turbo? Considering if i should get this, already have the Grey D1 in 4000k+

Thank you! Lockout is tricky, as it still enables some electrical contact through spring.
KR1 has slightly better heat disipation and more stable perfrmance over D1, so it should be canibalizing your D1 at all ;)

Can you tell us the maximum range of the throw and how long turbo lasts please 🙏?

I measured 33 660 cd, which translates to 367m of beam distance in Turbo (I have xp-l hi 2850K version), so the throw should be even better with cool White/Neutral white emitters. As of Turbo runtime, Stepdown occurs around 3min to approx. 350lm level and it lasts a little over 3h (measured on Samsung 35E 3500mAh battery). Hope it helps ;)

Yes, you an set floor and ceiling, just like in every Anduril flashlight

What size 18650 does it need ? As in voltage or mah cheers for the video I just ordered one in dark grey

It needs flat top unprotected 18650, depending on emitter choice either high capacity or high discharge rate

Unfortunately, that would increase voltage. Driver is 3V by default, so no, only single 18650 battery tube
