Fun fact, not only is the location real, but so is the Land Rover, if you search the registration it comes up as a Petrol Land Rover, colour: yellow, first registered 31st of December 1966.
I recently retired and have started this hobby. Your videos have inspired me so much. Thank you. My grand children love your videos. For that memory I will always cherish.
I'd like to see uncle nightshift go all out on like a gothic church facade, and make it a bit abandoned, recreating something real, that'd be amazing. And put it in a picture frame.
night shift, your work is amazing!! I never would've imagined such a simple civilian project to become a mega detailed, amazing diorama that probably no one in the world can ever do, haha. Congrats on finally finishing, and keep up the amazing work! P.S. Even though KV1s are super common, could you make one on this channel? The Tamiya 1/35 one is super neat (a fun, quick project to do over wintertime) and is also super detailed. Your IS2 and your KV2 are amazing, but we're missing the OG that got them all started, haha! Thanks again for all your dedication, and happy modelling!
i cannot believe you made the washers underneath the bolts at this scale. i mean. i absolutely believe it. every time there are tiny nails, bolts, and especially welds its so cool! i sometimes watch videos to fall asleep, but when i watch these, i always end up staying awake to watch it come together.
That turned out perfect. It looks like a 3d photograph of a real place. This is definitely your best diorama. Thanks for the AK Interactive discount code. I needed to get a few things and they are even throwing in one of the new weathering paints and some brushes for free.
A quick tip. The foam in foam board is water proof, to get the paper off quickly and cleanly, with zero damage to the foam, simply wet the foam board using warm (not hot) water. Rub the paper as you go, it comes straight off every time with no fuss.
16:05 "You can call me a crack enthusiast" Caught me off guard. Great video. Some of your best diorama work you've done so far. I love the vibrancy and contrast of the vegetation and rust tones.
Poor lass, I'd be wanting something stronger than a coffee after driving that Landie for three and a half hours up through Wales (from Ledbury Road Motors near Tewkesbury, AKA Pace on the A438) 😁 That's a suitable building for a model in its own right, but not a patch on the amazing example you found. Judging by Google Street View it's barely changed in over 15 years! Seriously, I get a lot of inspiration from your videos but this is very close to home and is particularly inspiring for a specific project I'm working on, set in North Wales. Very nicely done, Martin. 👍
@@NightShiftScaleModels definitely plausible for a tow truck recovery job! And each of those buildings would look at home just about anywhere in this country, so you're good ;)
I always think the early stages of your projects look awesome. Then you add 3 or 4 more stages of detail and weathering. It's mind blowing when finished!
Such a great piece of work. I really really like this one. Great to hear you having so much fun with it, because in the end the fun part is much more important then the result. But you seem to hit both the fun and result nail every time. Thank you so much for showing us.
Your videos continue to amaze me, after each step I think "there's no way he can make that look better right?" but your prove me wrong every time. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much, muh friend, as always, for another video of your incredible artwork. It’s a painful wait, for each new video…but I wouldn’t want them even a day sooner, if it meant any drop off of the attention you pay to the details of your builds. You’re a master at your craft, sir🤙
This is why I love the internet! A Llanrug diorama... why not!? The pumps are a bit of a local landmark. There's a lot of old industrial landscape mixed with natural beauty in this part of the world. Cheers for the quality content as always!
24:28 "giant, orange, rust like stain" - that's the water falling off the roof, hitting the dirt below and jumping back on the surface of the building. This is why you see (in old architecture) elements that stop this. It's the number one decay, akin to a "chinese water drop", but against buildings as water will spray the surfaces with minerals that will take effect on paint, stones, metals etc.
I love your channel and constantly review all the videos.I am a modeler myself and I love miniatures, but sometimes I do not have the inspiration and desire to continue making, but your videos help me to continue.I'm sorry for my English, I'm writing through a translator
Hi Martin, that diorama is totally 110% fantastic, and to think it is also a real building and vehicle, your work would be some of the best on the net, congratulations this fantastic build, best regards from Australia, Les
My Canadian ass looking at this thinking "why is it parked with the driver side door right againt the wall?" Thanks for all the videos NightShift. Big inspiration for a Warhammer guy!
Your best project and video so far this year. Well worth the time you spent making it. Nice to see that your girlfriend made an effort on you as well. 👍
OOO-Man! It never fails whenever I watch you for your amazing diorama builds or Plasmo for his aircraft builds. I am always inspired to get back to painting as well as turning more of my large pile of grey into (hopefully) the little pieces of artwork they've always meant to be. 🤓🍻
I live up the road from Llanrug! There's a great pub across the road from that old garage, and those old pumps are a local landmark for holiday makers/hikers heading up Snowdon. You've captured the essence of the location perfectly! Diolch yn fawr Uncle Night Shift❤
A Yorkshire lass in Welsh Wales. Excellent work yet again. If my figures turned out half as good as your first effort, I'd be very happy. I may have missed the reason you chose the exact place on Google Street View, but there is a tenuous link between the Landy and Wales. 1885: The Rover Company began as a bicycle manufacturer in Warwickshire, England. 1947: The original Land Rover design, inspired by a Jeep axle and chassis, was created by engineer and Rover Company Chairman Maurice Wilks, while Wilks was with his brother Spencer on their farm in Wales. Keep on building.
You are an extremely talented and capable modeler and you show the methods in a very attainable way. Some day, I'm going give it a go and you'll be one my inspirations. What about a larger diorama of a modern military aircraft on the flightline? Or being serviced in a hangar?
I have climed regularly near there, wild camped, cycled, MTB and hill walked. Even driven past that garage a few times, but given how long ago that was, I don't remember it. Great video as usual.

All of the Land rover painting choices on the box are real and the vehicles still exist at the Dunsfold collection (Land Rover Museum) England.
Ledbury Road motors still exists too. Its near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire.
