      It should be spilt into following categories:
      I see someone coming out of a junction so I will accelerate into them
      I am proving a point because technically I have the right of way
      I made a situation worse than it really is.
      I will drive aggressively and be an idiot because thats what the other driver is doing.
      It can’t possibly be that my speeding was the real reason for the near miss
      I have misjudged junctions and roundabouts but I won’t be forgiving to other other drivers who do the same.
      Maybe I should see someone about my anger management.

    Overtaking is one of the most dangerous manoeuvres you can do and yet the number of people who do it without seeing ahead is clear, is just staggering. So many drivers are selfish with no awareness of their surroundings

    • @dmac2573
      @dmac2573 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Yep. Even worse if they're overtaking a cyclist, as a lot of drivers have the patience of a toddler and can't bear to wait 3 seconds, so overtake when it's not safe.

    • @googleuser2571
      @googleuser2571 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Agreed. People overtake dangerously, but also increasingly behave dangerously and erratically when being overtaken. It is not uncommon when performing a perfectly legal and safe overtake, within the posted speed limit, to have the overtaken driver flash lights, blare horn, or - my personal favourite - close right up to the vehicle in front to prevent the overtaking driver from pulling back in, thereby deliberately trying to provoke a head on crash. The standard of driving in the UK has become proper bottom of the barrel stuff, and lax enforcement (read none outside of speeding) is partly to blame. As is generally deteriorating mental health. Everyone seems to be angry and uptight.

  • @DaveJMcGarry

    9:18, that learner driver wasn't indicating correctly yes, but Sebby M (and all drivers) should probably drive a bit more carefully around learners. For starters, you don't want to show off any bad habits, and learner drivers make mistakes more often than licensed drivers (generally. there are careful learners and really really, really stupid drivers with licenses) so it makes sense to be a bit slower when approaching the roundabout.

    2:16 that's on the Wirral, with the lorry coming off the motorway onto Woodchurch Road. I'm not sure if they're even allowed to turn right there, certainly never seen anyone try it before in my 2+ years of driving around here. I'd certainly never try it as it's a very busy road in both directions and you're almost doing a u turn in effect as the motorway slip road runs alongside the main road for a way.
    I bought my first car just up the road from there and when I left the garage, I had to turn right and come down towards this overpass, took me about 5 minutes I was that nervous lol

Yes, the car + trailer has made a bad judgement, but by exceeding the speed limit you’ve given yourself less time to react and made it worse. then you come to a complete halt in the outside lane after you’ve cleared the hazard - WTAF?? 🤡🤡🤡

The ‘rule’ originates from speed enforcement guidance issued by the Association of Chief Police Officers[1] which sets out the strategy that police forces should use when enforcing speed limits." and "The guidelines themselves state very clearly that they “do not and cannot replace a police officer’s discretion”,[2] and express reference is made to circumstances in which an officer decides to depart from the guidelines set out in the table..." "Therefore, you should not rely on the table as a set of ‘replacement speed limits’, as you may still be prosecuted." www.roadlawbarristers.co.uk/speeding-what-is-the-10-plus-2-rule-and-what-does-it-mean/

      @@servicekid7453 I don’t think Romero couldn’t control his vehicle due to excessive speed. I think the issue was Romero simply didn’t control his vehicle much beyond changing his headlight setting to full beams until it was too late, then he discovered his steering wheel and once he found the brake pedal it actually stopped very very quickly.
