I love the Roundabout ones, where somone pulls out about 1000ft in front of them, and they think they got cut up.

@@goldytwatus1674 The DPD was driver was trying to drive according to the traffic, the cammer just had to slow down a tad. If the Cammer hit the DPD the cammer would have been at fault. The idea of a roundabout is that multiple people can be on it at the same time, like a straight road, you dont ram someone because they are in your way.
First clip, once the other car was in the narrow area, you shouldn’t have entered regardless of whose priority it was
The other car could see the dashcam car from even before they entered the narrow area.
Your idea is similar like saying "once the other car entered the intersection, you shouldn't have crossed regardless of who had a green or red light."
It kind of defies the meaning of priority.
You can't just force yourself and hope everyone will just let you go on your way.

Totally agree. The driver with the camera claims "right of way", but there is no such thing for a car on a road. He would have had priority had the opposing car not already entered the restriction.... he was a dick.
Yeah, if someone is already in the narrow part and you arrive at the point you'd have to stop at were the priorities reversed then you need to wait for the already committed car to pass. Always boggles the mind that people throw themselves into "point of principal" situations like this when they can be so easily avoided.
@@icecubee55 Nah, the red car was already in the narrow bit before the dashcam driver reached the priority sign where he would ordinarily have to stop if the priorities were reversed. It's marginal for sure but dashcam driver could've stopped and rolled his eyes as much as he wanted, or even flashed, not just stuck his car right in front of one that had nowhere else to go. It's dumb.

I had some crazy idiot brake check me southbound on the M1 one night .A car full of young guys .I was southbound in a fully loaded 40 foot artic .After I slammed the brakes on twice to avoid hitting him in the arse the 3rd time I completely lost the plot and tried to ram him .I must have been inches off his rear before he took off like a scalded cat. He realised he had gone too far .As I had nearly gone too far.

I have no idea why people fool around with and try to aggro huge 40t+ juggernauts. Dicing with death. It can't brake and stop like other vehicles. A lorry will crush a car like it's made of tissue paper. I always try to anticipate what a lorry driver will do and give them ample room, and be aware of blindspots etc. It's amazing to me how many people can't read the road though. The other day I saw a lorry indicating left in the middle lane at a fairly tight set of city traffic lights - not one but two cars entered the junction in the left lane while he was turning. They had to reverse. There should be points given out for that sort of thing, really dangerous, stupid and ignorant behaviour. I see things like this all the time, I can't even imagine the stupidity lorry drivers witness daily.

I live there and believe me it happens every day on that road usually people skipping the traffic constantly queuing up that road and basically going all the way up on the wrong side of the road just to get around it 😂

I have a similar issue here. Neighbour's hedge somewhat obstructs the view from my driveway. And we live near a school so a lot of small children walk by. Because of that I always reverse in so I have a better view when leaving.
Plenty of times people get angry because they have to wait or have to reverse because they are hugging my bumper (school zone speed limit) and stop right behind me. I indicate, slow down, stop and shift in reverse. I can reverse on there in one move so the wait is only two seconds. Still people honk or glare, sometimes shout something. I really don't get it. I've never had someone get out and berate me on my property but one day it will happen.
FWIW I think the issue the BMW driver had was that she gave him the finger as he was on his way past, which is needless antagonisation. I'm not sure he did get all that close to her when he stopped, either. Maybe she didn't indicate, who knows. I think they were both in the wrong to a greater or lesser extent.

He did post in the original clip that he realised he was in the wrong but that the aggressive attitude of the other driver was unnecessary. The road markings are fairly worn since apparently everyone else ignores them as well.

Yea, the other car was already firmly in the lane. I will say that people appear to have a tendency to just follow one after the other without looking/pausing when going through these, or going around vehicles that obstruct their lane.

I’m a professional HGV driver of 20 years, EXTENSIVE motorway experience, seen EVERYTHING regarding idiots on the road. I have not experienced road rage personally a lot,maybe couple of times because I learn to stay back keep your distance!!! I’m a slow driver, I ALWAYS stick to the speed limits and if people want to overtake I let them, if I get a truck trying to overtake I slow down and let him I am in no rush whatsoever!!! I drive in a very relaxed way. I always get idiots up my arse all the time in my car, I just continue at the speed limit don’t react, if they wish to overtake let them. people are just too much in a rush nowadays and everyone thinks they have right of way, I just let them pass and just laugh at them. If you rush around being aggressive it’s just VERY stressful

My advice is be a defensive driver, stay WELL back and STOP driving too close to others and as that is the most aggressive thing you can do and if they decide to stop or turn suddenly it’s YOUR fault automatically when it comes to an insurance claim, keep your distance!! It’s a lot more relaxing if you stay back anyway. If you get someone who wants to overtake let them!!! it’s just not worth all the agro

I believe in law a dash cam has a double non benefit to the owner .The police can convict you on the evidence of your own dash cam.

The priority arrow is there to say you may go first if no other vehicle is occupying the single lane section, otherwise it might just as well be a one way section of road.

4:57 I had an impatient driver the same! I had pulled over and stopped to reverse into my driveway when safe to do so…as it happened there was a guy walking on the opposite hilly roadside which was extremely icy, so I waited for him before my manuoever. An impatient driver who eventually came up from behind, couldn’t wait and ended up wheel spinning on the patch of ice, only to turn into the road ahead of me…must have been in a rush at 3:30pm! If he had waited 20 seconds he would have saved his embarrassment. 🤦♂️

Been driving, riding bikes and bicycles over 25 years. Treat all other road users as idiots and its served me well. It is infuriating being cut up, but best just to take it on the chin and move on. Only time to hit ya horn is before someone is about to hit you/someone else.
Same here, I've boxed with a few guys who I'm pretty confident would have killed me if we weren't mates or in a ring, I always imagine someone getting into roadrage with them just wouldn't have a clue what they were dealing with

D Liptich, that is his turning lane. You can clearly see the markings on the road where your turning lane starts just a bit further on. There is also a faded arrow pointing to the right on your side where this starts as well. It seems like people must use that middle lane to queue to go in the direction where you were going but it’s clear that you were in the wrong here

Maybe the highways agency should rewrite the signs for Kieran O's benefit. eg 'you may only enter the single lane section when your path through is clear'. Although most other drivers seem fine with how it is.

Maybe if he wasn't on his phone he'd of seen the car had already entered the road before he got there. Regardless of priority you don't go head to head with a car. Use common sense and if you can't do that follow the highway code. He did neither.

It's certainly a phenomenon. See a potential issue, then, instead of avoiding it, accelerate up to it so you can be outraged.

I have noticed a sharp increase in these kinds of videos since the )abs were rolled out plus seen first hand incredibly stupid driving on my local roads in past year. Either I've been blind to this up to now or there is a change.... no smoke without fire I say. We were lab rats and that has been admitted by senior members of big pharma, though slyly and by accident when they do, so they know things have happened and are noting changes but don't like to formally admit it even though they are immune to prosecution.

Thank goodness I was born with a full licence me, I just drove out of the womb with every category. Seriously though, having L plates is an invitation for disrespect, even when you're driving correctly!
Very true. I stopped using L-plates when learning to drive. They were literally making cars around me do insanely dangerous manouvers. Drivers seem to accept you stalling unless you have L-plates, then it's things like overtake at a junction while cars are coming from both directions and causing a wreck. It's funny when not so ridiculously dangerous. Some drivers have no chill in them, (from my experience van drivers with faces for radio are the worst offenders).
@@contorta960 I found it's even worse with P plates. Almost got into several accidents thanks to other people driving like idiots with my P plates on. Took them off and it stopped

According to the Highway Code there is absolutely no such thing as "Your Right of Way". The best you can get is "you have Priority" if so marked by traffic signs and then ONLY if it is safe to proceed.
