Repair Expanding Hose for 1 dollar!

Expanding water hoses have pros and cons, the biggest con is that you have to chuck it and buy another one after a few months or maybe a year. Watch to see how easy and inexpensive it is to repair.

I have the exact same hose ! Crappy is right but I refuse to throw it away !

I like these hoses too. I quit buying them. The first repair works and so does the second, third and fourth etc. A year from now this hose will be four feet long

Add a little WD-40 or some Pam Spray on the metal protrusion and the rubber tubing will go in a lot easier. Thanx for the video, showing us how to repair the hose.

A way better fix is fuel injection clamp or a 3/8 pex crimp ring but not on cloth sleeve put heat shrink on sleeve sliding it up .

Is there a way to remove the press on fitting without a Dremel tool?

It would be difficult with a hacksaw. There are some similar "dremel" type tools at Harbour Freight that work great. Be careful when using a dremel or hacksaw.
