"This trailer was produced in 1988-89 for Santikos Theatres, San Antonio, TX. For you fellow San Antonioians, note the promo for the now defunct newspaper San Antonio Light (although Larry Ratliff still reviews for the Express-News). Stop the picture as the frontpage papers are going by and read the headline about San Antonio being shocked by fuel price increases ($.98/gallon). History repeats itself!! Once again, none of this was computer generated - it was all backlit transparencies and artwork shot using multiple pass and slitscan techniques with an Oxberry Master Series Animation Stand with a Cinetron motion control system. The music was scored in Austin and mixed at Skywalker Sound - many of the sound effects you hear in this trailer were lifted from sound fx Skywalker had from Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark!"
I've no idea why Preshow69 removed this video; it's AWESOME. Also, Skywalker Sound was probably called "Sprocket Systems" at the time this was made.
