Multi-Terrain Select
Answer the call of the wild. Multi-Terrain Select takes RAV4’s highly evolved four-wheel drive performance to a new level. The system allows you to select from four modes then regulates wheel spin accordingly to give you maximum traction on the most challenging terrain -- including mud, sand, rocks, and dirt. Standard on all AWD gas models.
Dynamic Force Engine
Powered by a new 2.5-litre 4-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine, RAV4 gas models put more power at your disposal, while getting more out of every litre. Paired to a direct shift 8-speed automatic transmission, RAV4 delivers sportier acceleration, better fuel economy, and a smoother more responsive ride.
Dynamic Torque Vectoring All Wheel Drive
RAV4 Trail and Limited (gas only) feature Dynamic Torque Vectoring All Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect. A Toyota first, the system can send up to 50% of engine torque to the rear wheels, plus distribute it to the left or right rear wheel for exceptional control. When it isn’t needed, the system ingeniously transmits all driving force to the front wheels -- reducing energy loss, improving fuel efficiency, and smoothing out the ride.
Should the unexpected or unavoidable occur, RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid help cushion the blow with a network of eight strategically placed airbags, including: dual stage airbags for driver and passenger, driver’s knee, passenger seat cushion and front and rear side curtain airbags.
or added safety and peace of mind, all 2019 models feature Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). BSM alerts you to the presence of vehicles in adjacent lanes that may have escaped visibility in your side-view mirrors. While RCTA warns you about hazards you can’t see while backing up.

Toyota has a winner in their hand. This may be the benchmark vehicle of CUV class.
We are excited to see all the models too
but their quality has gone downhill for years,their motors are their only saving grace lol
My 2001 RAV 4 is still going strong....I love her...but am wondering how much longer I can count on this fine ol' lady to continue to drive me ....this 2019 looks promising....just wonderin'...
If you take good care of it, probably a while longer. Always nice to upgrade to something 17 years newer.
That not the only thing is missing the glove compartment doesn’t have light auto window buttons no light sunroof buttons and interior lights button no lights the power lift gate push button to close it no light hard in the night time to find all this buttons other than that I like the new rav4 exl premium check the vehicle in the night time to make sure and see what light indicators are missing even the climate control select switch like for the blower etc is missing light I guess u can live with it just very annoying

I traded my 2018 Rav4 Limited bought 0ctober 18 ... 19 XLE Premium ... told them I wanted as close what I had on my limited.. came as close specs... both at 30k just 18 had end year incentive discount, which 19 had discount as well if getting a loan (1,125 usd) ... have heated stirring wheels on my premium which I did not on Limited... I paid xtra for rust undercoating, water repellent interior and 3M coated on hood on my 18 but they gave me free car starter part of negotiation bec. I told sale guy I'll wait for the 19 that's why gave it free starter to buy it.... couple weeks ago with trade from my old to new I told them I put xtra on all weather package and starter... they put it on for free on all those items including the starter on my XLE which was a great deal... what not they didn't know I got the starter free from my limited. This may not be Hybrid... but saves more gas than my Limited!

A Beautiful design , look like Ford Explorer or Jeep Grand Cherokee...Wheel is a perfect size. wish next year there will be RAV4 3 row seating...

I don’t understand why Toyota Canada does not give us the same options for the 2019 RAV4 Trail as Toyota USA offers on the Adventure. The Trail does receive JBL or front parking sensors.

I believe it's only the Limited that has the ambient lighting package.

No, as far as I know, TSS 2.0 doesn't detect signs

Big thing is panoramic roof on Limited, small roof on premium. Leather perforated seats in Limited, fake leather in XLE.
Do the 19 inch tires make you feel every bump
Seemed fantastic driving through the bumps in the snow.

@@Tendertroll1 On an older car yes, you are correct. However, with the way Toyota designed the suspension and the TNGA Platform frame on this vehicle it drives like a dream.

The new RAV4 should be built up dash cam instead of you have to put it by yourself. You need to buy and put it yourself at least consider build up by Toyota RAV4.
There's a Toyota Dash cam. Same as the Lexus one.
I'm talking about dash cam for recording if something happens to you're car. Like accident or scratch some people don't care if the other vehicle got a scratch or not.
That dash cam I'm talking about.
Not the car for reverse only not that.
The dash came has a motion sensor that records 60 seconds each time. Only out the front window but its there.

Test drive. Indeed noisy but comfort is same.
Yup it was loud when I test drove it. I told myself it was sporty, lol. A lot of reviews complain about the noisy engine.

No, I have the XLE Premium and it does not come with remote start.
@@RedRubyG you're right! I deleted my comment. I could have sworn the Rav4 had it when I test drove it. I test drove quite a few in the last 3 weeks. But you can get the app for starting it. Many Asian brands moved away from putting them in because of air quality concerns in Asian countries, I know that much. In US, it's not been an issue yet. I've always had them in vehicles and they are priceless in winters.
