She is the only person who knows where his remains lie, as promised to Freddie before he died, she has never revealed where they are. My favourite live Queen performance has to be White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975, the way Freddie's piano and Brian's guitar intertwine is spine tingling and Rogers drums are exceptional as well. th-cam.com/video/f8usNj4x9NA/w-d-xo.html
And that's what has been missing in your life up to now. Welcome to the family of Queen fans all over the world! All their live performances were like this. Energy, talents, and charisma. My special favorite is a live performance in 1976 You Take My Breath Away. Nothing but Freddie and his piano. Nothing else required. A whole new range of Freddie's voice, and his emotions showing in his performance.
Actually man!? You are sooooo missing out. Queen are thee Ultimate Band!! You NEED to listen to EVERYTHING they have produced. I grew up with them. Can’t imagine a life without them in it. My 15 year old daughter is obsessed with them. Trust me, download the back catalogue, you will not be disappointed xx
Listen to that drummer singing along with Freddie... Roger sounds good and the band has awesome chemistry and this song is fabulous.. I absolutely love your reaction to this song and I want to see you react to live aide. It’s incredible. Thank you
@@katecoman521 Absolutely! If you listen to Too much love will kill you - first in Freddies version, then in Brians - they have both made excellent recordings. When Freddie sings, the song seem to be about his life and disease, but when Brian sings, it changes point of view completely and becomes a song about lost love. I know which version I prefer.
Freddie Mercury the greatest rock star, the greatest entertainer that ever lived. I was fortunate to see his last gig at knebworth in UK in 1986. I miss and love you everyday Freddie. Yes he did find love Jayvee. I'm so glad you enjoyed the Queen songs I've been fortunate to have listened to them growing up 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
It wasn’t just the Heineken up there. I read somewhere he also had water and honey-lemon tea for his throat up there too, which is probably what the other cups were. He’d just take a sip of whatever he felt like he needed in the moment to stay on top of his game.
Another reactor said he saw cigarettes on the piano and beer on the piano but I could not see the cigarettes and we all know Freddie was a smoker. I think it was in Somebody to Love Live at Montreal though.
That's right. His roadie Peter Hince wrote an excellent and pretty honest book about life behind the stage, what it was like working for Queen and for Freddie. One of his tasks was to make hot lemon drinks for Freddies voice. He didn't drink much alcohol on stage.
Yeah none of that was honey-lemon water. That all basically looked clear. That was his and the rest of the bands beer. Bri and Deek, they didn't have a convenient big piano to put their drinks on.
@@LordElaen Deaky had his private little bar behind stage. It would be inconvenient for Brian to cross the stage for a drink, guess he had his beer on an amp or on the floor. Honey/lemon water is yellowish in colour.
I love when new people are discovery new music, & opening their minds to new genre's of music!!! Love how much you are loving & reacting to QUEEN, and discovering one of the truly great rock & roll bands of all time!!! ❤️ 💛 💙 💜
Btw, Freddie refused to get his teeth fixed, because he knew they had alot to do with his vocal range. You can find him saying this in several interviews.
Yes, he found somebody to love. In the last years of his life he was in a very stable and loving relationship. You were so concerned with Freddie finding somebody to love because he puts so much passion and emotion into his voice with every song, he makes you feel like every song is real and present. Great reaction.
Oh man if you love this, You have got to see the video LIVE AID July 1885 QUEEN. It is the most incredible thing you will ever ever see and he holds a crowd of 75,000 people in the palm of his hand. ❤️❤️❤️
Freddie Mercury - Lead Vocals/Piano/occasionally guitar, also degree in design and created the Queen logo to incorporate all the bands astrological star signs. Brian May - Lead guitar/vocals/occasionally piano/keyboards, also a Phd in Astrophysics and built the guitar he plays when he was a teenager with his dad as they couldn't afford to buy him one. It is called the Red Special and is made from things such as an old mantelpiece, a table top, knitting needle and mother of pearl buttons etc! It is still his main guitar to this day. Roger Taylor - Drums/vocals, also a degree in biology although he started out studying dentistry. Finally, John Deacon - Bass, the only member who wasn't a regular vocalist, but had a degree in engineering and built a specialist amp called the Deaky amp using stuff he found in a skip! It allowed Brian to do even more with his already amazing guitar. An amazing band that had the rare gift of being even better live than in the studio and covered so many different genres that many believe they are a genre all on their own. Welcome to Queen, a journey that will take you from Ballad to Diss track and from Speed Metal to Waltz ..... Enjoy! Edit : Oops, forgot to mention, they wrote their own songs and all four of them wrote hit songs for the band. E.g : Freddie - Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody To Love. Brian - We Will Rock You, Who Wants To Live Forever. Roger - Radio Ga Ga, A Kind Of Magic. John - Another One Bites The Dust, You're My Best Friend.
Lfc Rules - Don't forget Deaky occasionally played piano and on a couple of songs (Cool Cat, Back Chat, Need your loving) was the guitarist. He also wrote over a dozen great songs solo (and several with Freddie) and a few were their biggest hits. Some of my favorites by Deaky, Need your loving tonight, You and I, I want to Break Free, Who Needs You, One year of love, In only 7 days, Friends will be Friends, Spread your Wings, If you can't beat them, Misfire, Rain must fall...to name a few. All four did write great stuff and all four were very different personalities with different musical tastes. That's what made them great. Roger could also play some guitar. I saw them live and they were definitely the only band I can say was even better live than in the studio.
And even though John was the only member of the band not to sing lead on any of their songs, some of his bass lines are absolutely iconic, like the one from Under Pressure. The entire band are amazingly talented, brilliant, and absolute legends.
"Is that the full range of his voice?" Awww, hahaha. Nope. He had an insane vocal range! 4 octaves. He even sang some opera later in his life - listen to "Exercises in Free Love"! He's commonly considered the greatest male rock vocalist of all time, plus one of - if not the - greatest frontmen ever. Definitely watch Live Aid! They had a 20-minute set that's been voted the best rock performance ever, plus he sings some classics: Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, and We Are the Champions are in there, plus others you might not have heard.
From his opera album with the gifted spanish opera singer Montserrat Cabbalé, I would recommend the song "How can I go on" as a start. It's easy to listen to, perfect and beautiful. th-cam.com/video/kNLzMdm_guU/w-d-xo.html It's from 1988, when he has been diagnosed with AIDS, which was like a death sentence back then.
Codex7777 I mean that’s true, point taken! I just mean that if you search greatest male rock singers he often comes up first and is voted first (like by WatchMojo, etc.) I personally think that trying to choose one best singer is impossible because no one person can sing everything. Like you said, there are singers who can sing things Freddie couldn’t, but that also went the other way around. I think he’s commonly voted the best (not my opinion, like I said, the common consideration) because of his range and the number of genres he was comfortably able to cover. But yeah, there are definitely “better” singers in other respects. I think his personality also just made him more fun to listen to!
YES, he did. Jim Hutton and they were together until Freddy's death of complications from AIDS (pneumonia). He had a 4 octave range, which is why he wouldn't have his teeth fixed. He thought it could possibly affect his range. All 4 members of Queen wrote number 1 hits, all 4 members could sing but Freddie has been voted the best frontman in live shows. The band has been voted the best band in live shows. Brian May, the guitarist that you pointed out, is Dr. Brian May, astrophysicist. You can follow him and Roger Taylor on Instagram and they do respond to some of the comments. Of course, Adam Lambert is the frontman of Queen now and he's like the love child of Freddie & Cher. Watch LiveAid, it will change your life.
@@laurenraubaugh9542 he's considered the greatest not only because the range of his voice but the way he sings, subharmonics, distortion, voice tones, the timbre, adding the right emotions to every song. Freddie Mercury was a once in a generation talent in the music industry.

1981 concert is one of their best - from the same show... try "Save Me" - Brian (guitarist) starts on piano and then transitions back to guitar with Fred back at keys... it's flawless! (and yes, he did finally find "somebody to love" - took a few years, though... )
Watching this video of you, I finally understand why watching "first time hearing" videos is so compelling! Watching you get so into it that you're swaying & your eyes are GLUED to the screen... I get it now! Thanks for doing these. I plan to subscribe & watch more. :-)
Why Freddie Mercury microphone stand? Here's how that happened: early in Queen's career, he was apparently mid-show when his mic stand snapped in half. Instead of having it replaced, Freddie just used it as-is. He must have liked it, because he used the mic "stick" from then on.
I was actually at that Show at the Montreal Forum in 1981 !!! The first live concert I ever saw in my life and was blown away ! I had just turned 15. The ticket cost me $ 22.00 in the nosebleed section... but I could still see the stage very well because of the Forum's layout (used for hockey games). when Freddy Mercury said Bonjour Montreal ... the crowd lost it ! The show lasted for over 2 hours and Freddy would engage the crowd in singing along to certain songs. Stomp stomp slap, stomp stomp slap, stomp stomp slap, stomp stomp slap .... Those rows of lights in front of the drums flashing at the same time ... the entire building was vibrating as we all did it ! and Freddy let us go on for a bit before starting the song. Of course, I'm talking about the song We Will Rock You. This live concert is available on TH-cam, it is a montage of the 2 consecutive nights that Queen played at the Montreal Forum. Special fact about this : The next day of the 1st show, Freddy Mercury was widely criticized by the local press about him only performing for the cameras that were filming rather than performing for the crowd of fans. On the night of the 2nd show that I attended, after he greeted us with ''Bonjour Montreal'' and we all then went nuts ! He went on to say that he had read the papers and that he was very disappointed but mostly sorry and he wanted to make things right with us .... he then said, and I quote ''so tonight, fuck the cameras'' ! .... of course, we all went nuts ! .... and got treated with an awesome show !
Queen was once in a generation band. Freddie was unique in the world of music. There will never be anyone like Freddie ever again. Your videos of you hearing Queen songs for the first time warm my heart in a very sad time in our world.
England had more then one Queen and Freddie was the most loved one. Freddie was known to go 4 octaves and do opera as well. Each one had a degree Brian May lead guitarist was actually an Are you ready he was an Astrophysicist cool right.I loved Freddie he controled the crowd to the point that the crowd actually sang Bohemian Rhapsody in perfect sync all strangers who never met sang in harmony thousands look for the video that says fans sing Bohemian Rhapsody without Freddie word for word.💞💞💞💞💞
Check out Somebody to Love 1981 Live. Watch the way he moves his mouth and uses his breath. He uses his entire body as a conductor. Just absolutely brilliant. Considered to be the best vocalist in the world. Could sing 4 octaves. Look that up to see how rare that is. Brian May, was his front guitarist. He was a genius in his own right. Brian was not only gifted in musical ability, but he was an ASTROPHYSICIST! They are the greatest band in the world!! I love the way you comment. You truly listen to the music. I can see where it moves you. And you don't talk over the music! Hallelujah! I've watched other commenters, and they stop the music every 3 seconds throughout the song. A great number of them look as if they have AD/HD. Thank you and Well Done!
Like many other people here, I'd suggest you react to Queen at Live Aid 1985. That will really show you Freddie's mastery of involving & controlling an audience. As a charity concert it had a hugely diverse line-up and tickets were on sale, if not already sold out, before Queen were confirmed as appearing. So it's definitely not a Queen crowd and yet all 72,000 in Wembley Stadium and also all the people watching on-screen at the partner concert in Philadelphia were right in the palm of Freddie's hand. Second suggestion: Queen - Death on Two Legs. You may perhaps think you've heard a diss-track or two. Not until you're heard Death on Two Legs you haven't! 😁
Deco Dolly That is so true about Death on two legs, the ultimate revenge diss track. And the moral issue of the song is......REALLY don’t piss Freddie off !!
Great reaction ,try watching the live aid concert from Wembley London ,it was a concert with lots of different bands playing ,to raise money for people dying of starvation in the Sudan ,it was playing at the same time as one in USA with American bands ,queen were added late through touring ,but stole the show with their twent five minute set ,that will show you how amazing this group were ,sorry it's a bit long but might as well start at best live show ever ,good luck from Liverpool uk

@Miriam Mrs. - Thanks! I was going to say the same thing. I hate when reactors stop after the daytime portion and don't give "Is This The World We Created" the love it deserves.
@Miriam Mrs. TH-cam took it down according to Jayvee... a lot of reactors' Live Aid reaction was taken down by TH-cam but they're still out there... wonder why their's were mot taken down... for instance JBLETHALTV has it up and it's been there a few weeks.
If you want live then White Queen at Hammersmith 75 has the best solo Queen ever did. Save Me is an amazing song - it has a great studio video, and their live performance at Montreal is incredible too.
This is a great recording of this song. But....it was SO MUCH better in person. I saw them on the opening of the US leg of this tour, for their album "The Game", in September of 1980 at Madison Square Garden AND again during their tour for the album "Hot Space", at the Garden again, in the summer of '82. Billy Squier opened for them, should check him out!
I would have loved to have been able to see them.... Way before my time sadly (born in 86)... Sometimes I wish I lived in a different era. When they made real music.. Not saying all's bad now, but all the truly great artists are from back then, from my point of view at least. :-)
The guy was a GOD and it broke my heart as a kid when he passed away. It never ceases to amaze me what he could achieve with his voice especially live!
a concert-vid from 1981 in HD?!?!! ... yeah, queen was always ahead of their time! queen decided to film a concert in best possible quality and bring it to the cinemas/movie-theaters ... they decided, so they did! :-) original the sound is even recorded in surround sound!!! and yet, there is a THX 7.1 mix avaible! hard to find another band who did it, because that was quite expencive! i mean, we are still talking about 1981! queen = best and most innovative band in the world!
there’s also two songs that definitely you will know when you hear it “we will rock you” and “we are the champions” you hear it in every sports stadium around the world! And right now there are way too many more songs to list at this moment but continue doing reactions to Queen and I will continue requesting more songs!! No better showman no better singer than Freddie Mercury he was the best he was a performer!!
It's 100% PURE talent. That's not beer in the cups, it's warm water with honey to help his throat. He takes a drink because he's about to go for that high note.
I was at their final concert in 1986, and as good as the video's of them live are, they are nothing compared to actually being there. It is great seeing people who were too young to know them when they were around (or not even being born) falling in love with these songs and the talents, not just of Queen, but of many older artists. Really enjoying watching your reaction video's, and they're helping me pass a 12 hour night shift at work :)

But I suggest him to watch Who Wants to Live Forever (official music video)... Its awesome with the orchestra and everything!
@@samloveslfc That's my favorite too. It's the most emotional!
@@lukanovak1492 Freddie's voice in Who Wants to Live Forever brings tears to my eyes every time
Mary???
And that's what has been missing in your life up to now. Welcome to the family of Queen fans all over the world! All their live performances were like this. Energy, talents, and charisma. My special favorite is a live performance in 1976 You Take My Breath Away. Nothing but Freddie and his piano. Nothing else required. A whole new range of Freddie's voice, and his emotions showing in his performance.
Bless you Freddie.... so missed it hurts!
I’m 51 and grew up with this music and I was just as shook as you are listening to it. Totally loved these talented guys. They were AMAZING ❤️🌸🤗👍
Thank you
Monterey Harris Don’t forget Brian!!!!! His soft and sweet voice always gave them that extra edge!
@@katecoman521 - Deaky isn't much of a singer but that bass!!!!! And his songwriting was amazing.
Roger actually has a wider range than Freddie had. Queen truly consisted of three amazing vocalists and one magnificent one.
Monterey Harris roger was the guy singing in the recording of I’m in Love with my Car
Freddie is not just a lead singer, he’s a legend. He’s a rock God. Queen was brilliant. Freddys Voice range was stellar
Ineeed
There will never be anyone come close to Freddie
He'd know what he needed, makes sense what your saying.
I've said for a while now that Freddie just may have had the best voice in rock music ever!!! He's phenomenal!!!
I love when new people are discovery new music, & opening their minds to new genre's of music!!! Love how much you are loving & reacting to QUEEN, and discovering one of the truly great rock & roll bands of all time!!!
❤️ 💛 💙 💜
You got the old gray-hair crowd loving your reactions-grandma says “you’re adorable and your reactions are priceless!”
He was the BEST!!!!!
Yes he did find somebody to love! Eventually!💕
Queen is so talented, it's crazy.
Freddie had a 5 octave range. Unusual for a male singer.... 💖
Oh man if you love this, You have got to see the video LIVE AID July 1885 QUEEN. It is the most incredible thing you will ever ever see and he holds a crowd of 75,000 people in the palm of his hand. ❤️❤️❤️
Freddie was the simply the best showman
Great summary. One addition: Queen are the only group to date to have every individual member write a number 1 hit single.
And all 4 have been inducted to the Rock snd Roll hall of fame on their individual contributions to music.
And even though John was the only member of the band not to sing lead on any of their songs, some of his bass lines are absolutely iconic, like the one from Under Pressure. The entire band are amazingly talented, brilliant, and absolute legends.
He did till the day he passed...and beyond i beliee for love lasts for ever
i think you should watch QUEEN LIVE AT LIVE AID 1985 (full 20 minutes) - you´ll be amazed. it is considered the best live-performance ever.
Love seeing someone find Freddie and Queen. This one was Freddie's favorite. I was crushed the day he died, but thank the Lord we have his music
Love the reaction. Freddie had a 4 octave voice. He had done a song in opera it's beautiful. Queen is amazing and Freddie is greatly missed
5 octave
Millions of people around the world love Freddie and the band to this day! So love was found❤️
"Is that the full range of his voice?" Awww, hahaha.
It's easy to listen to, perfect and beautiful. th-cam.com/video/kNLzMdm_guU/w-d-xo.html
It's from 1988, when he has been diagnosed with AIDS, which was like a death sentence back then.
@@robinaddis-vaughn7271*"Adam Lambert is the frontman of Queen"*
No - Queen is Brian and Roger. That's why the shows are always billed as 'Queen AND Adam Lambert'.
1981 concert is one of their best - from the same show... try "Save Me" - Brian (guitarist) starts on piano and then transitions back to guitar with Fred back at keys... it's flawless! (and yes, he did finally find "somebody to love" - took a few years, though... )
Best Queen concert ever. Better than Live Aid!
Watching this video of you, I finally understand why watching "first time hearing" videos is so compelling! Watching you get so into it that you're swaying & your eyes are GLUED to the screen... I get it now! Thanks for doing these. I plan to subscribe & watch more. :-)
I'm loving your reaction to Queen. I grew up listening to them and still my absolute favourite band ever 😊😍
huffy bint thank you I’ll be releasing my next queen reaction tomorrow
After years of listening to Freddie, he still makes me move too, Jayvee. Thanks for the review.... loved it. Be well. Peace.
Why Freddie Mercury microphone stand?
Here's how that happened: early in Queen's career, he was apparently mid-show when his mic stand snapped in half. Instead of having it replaced, Freddie just used it as-is. He must have liked it, because he used the mic "stick" from then on.
“Was that the full range of his voice”
Nope that was just playing around lol
And you ain't joking...
Yep, that's Freddie warming up lol
Highly recommend Cool Cat by Queen - just amazing !
Freddie did find someone to love. He was called Jim.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
No it was Mary from the very beginning. He left EVERYTHING TO HER!!!
She was his greatest love.
You frick😂😂😂 it was Mary Austen
A Scottish Odyssey
Except,.... it was Mary Austin.
Queen was once in a generation band. Freddie was unique in the world of music. There will never be anyone like Freddie ever again. Your videos of you hearing Queen songs for the first time warm my heart in a very sad time in our world.
If you want to see Freddie fire up a crowd check out their Live Aid performance from 1985.
Good to see you enjoyed this!
I was at this concert! Seeing Freddie live was an unbelievable experience.
He found his love first “the love of his life” Mary Austin and then his lifepartner for the last part of his life Jim Hutton
Linsiboo T. ...this is Somebody to Love 1981 live...
Bruh everyone loves him there's no need to force anyone to love him
Awsome queen clip! I was feeln it to!
I Love Love seeing you discover Queen & Freddie.. you've only scratched the surface.. They are absolutely incredibly talented.
I just discovered your channel. Love it!!! As an old white guy that grew up on classic rock I really enjoy watching you discover the greatest music ever. KEEP ROCKING.....and I’ll keep watching.
Do you want to see him get the crowd going to check out queen live at Wembley stadium 1986 “Under Pressure” also from Wembley stadium “Another One Bites The Dust” fantastic!!!!

Freddie and Queen left it all on the stage!!! Nothing held back!!!! Love re-living this with you all!!!!

Lol yea we hear it ....queen and freddie ...greatest of all time .
Killer queen, don't stop me now, white queen, love of my life..and the list goes on
My favorite song from queen. Thank you for playing this video.
a concert-vid from 1981 in HD?!?!! ... yeah, queen was always ahead of their time! queen decided to film a concert in best possible quality and bring it to the cinemas/movie-theaters ... they decided, so they did! :-) original the sound is even recorded in surround sound!!! and yet, there is a THX 7.1 mix avaible! hard to find another band who did it, because that was quite expencive! i mean, we are still talking about 1981! queen = best and most innovative band in the world!
Another great Queen performance is One Vision Live at Wembley
You make me hyper aware of what I'm taking for granted having always heard these songs. Thanks for the refresher.
Good reaction btw
sarita tambayong thank you
Queens Music is like a smorgasbord of musical talent. I get so lost in it. Thank you for reacting to thos great music.
Roger Taylor had a sweet high voice.
I’m from Montreal - saw them in 81 and I was 27 then - love them💖💖💖💖💖💖 what a concert OMG - never forget it
there’s also two songs that definitely you will know when you hear it “we will rock you” and “we are the champions” you hear it in every sports stadium around the world!
Check out some David Bowie, just search "top Bowie songs." He was instrumental in changing pop culture.
finn Bowie is my favorite. Still not over his death. I’d like to see J do a reaction across the many different phases Bowie went thru.
His soul laid bare! Amazing always! Thank you!
You are a great reactor!
Thank you :)
Saw Queen+Adam Lamber in concert last week!!! It was nothing short of amazing :)))
Wow nice. I never knew they still performed
The guitar player and his dad mad that guitar when he was 16-18 years old is is callecthe red special.
You need to see "Save Me" Montreal 1981
