You should maybe work on a fast switcher - like they made it for wheels so that you have a connector for each which is mounted on the rig and give you access to exchange everything fast with only some screws.
Your a mind reader mate was about to ask your impressions of 4dof system for flight simming . So thanks for this insight.. still weighing up modding my 6 Dof actuators to use servo motors. My 4dof works great but not tried flight sim yet 👍😁
I believe your using x plane .. what's the feeling during flight? My SFX type actuators have 150mm travel rather than 100mm will this help with immersion ref flight simming? Cheers

Couldn't you use t-nuts to slide the steering assemblies on and off? Then you'd just have to loosen the screws.
Looking back there are many ways to improve the flexibility. In the video I simply wanted to show one way without any practice
