Could some of the vanilla code in this be adapted to detect ice lakes on planets? My idea is to fly a drone up high and try to use raycasting to detect large areas that are perfectly flat (ice lakes). You can usually find all of the resources of an earth like planet on ice lakes so finding right away would lead to a really fast start. Building a drone of a couple hundred cameras is no big deal, all you need to do is process stone. Thanks for your help.

Great script when using elite sensors can you see through astroids.
As i would like to build it in my base inside my astroid.

Andy UK Yep, the sensor will see everything within its range no matter what. New version will be out soon with a better display, as well :)

You release this script yet? Looks neat. So basically you need at least one camera pointed in every direction? I see in your design in the video you have several cameras per direction. Does adding cameras increase the likelihood of detecting things on the lidar radar ?

The script has been out for a few months, now :) I've updated the description with the links. As for the number of cameras to use - one camera is all that is needed for the script to WORK, however 100-400 (scan range dependent) cameras is recommended for the script to work efficiently.

Hello I am using this script in my world along with the missiles however, the enemies are not showing up on the map. The version i cam using now is version 6.9.0. Any idea why this is so ?

That is typically an ownership issue (assuming other things DO show up on the map). You can confirm by placing an enemy grid directly in front of the cameras and see what it shows up as. The other option is that it just takes time for things to be found, depending on how many cameras you have, the distance to target, and the scan resolution setting. More info can be found in the Guide under the FAQs section :)

@@jturp6635 Thank you for your quick reply however, i have 3x3 box of camera on every corner and 4 rotor hinge camera on all corners. I tried transferring all the blocks on the grid to me but some blocks are placed by other players in the multiplayer world. The enemy ships are spawned in from a mod and the scan range is set to 10km and scan resolution to 3. Yet the problem still persists

Ok it's not recognising the cameras on my ship?

Make sure they are in the block group and you own them
