This is a Rescue-style quest from my upcoming mod, Quest and Merchant, with Modular Encounter Systems integration. Showcasing an issue where players are seemingly always sync'd to all other players, but NPCs do not get the same treatment. In the video: Player 1 and NPC are seated next to one another Player 2 moves away until grid is de-synchronized Player 2 moves back until grid is re-synchronized Player 1 is still visible, NPC is now invisible for Player 2 Player 2 can still see NPC sitting in the other seat

I've not seen anything in the mod description that would indicate that it is an issue, *however*, I've only seen this mod used in videos on planets or fixed grids, so I feel like I need to ask anyway... Does it work in mobile grids? Will these bots function normally on a player built ship in survival, even without working gravity?
Yes, indeed. I have a video in the series where they are repairing a grid while I fly it around at 100m/s :) they use relative dampening just like players would
@@jturp6635 nice! I've had it installed since I found the mod, but I play pretty chill and slow paced, so I haven't actually used it yet, although with Crew Enabled as well, I've seen plenty of them on Ares. Good to know, though. Would kill immersion if they didn't work

How do you actually set the grind colors in the mod menu? I opened the config files but, I dunno what to put coz it just say nil="true".

For someone who never plays SE without MES mods and AiEnabled npc's and everything revolves around those interactions now this is going to be AWESOME. Looking forward to release.
Now thats cool it gives life to the game, you could make a rescue and scort mission where you have to bring the hostage safe home after the rescue, you could make use of AI enable interaction menu to point the rescue to an empty seat in you rover or ship where the rescue could sit so you could bring him back to the safe point with your ship or rover, maybe enemy ships could try to intercept you in the way, would make so player would need to make a safe room for their recued seats so that it don't get destroyed by a random shot.
Escort quests are pretty much what you describe (post rescue). And they can be strung together (custom quests) so this is entirely possible ;)

Im glad to see your continuing to add more npc stuff to the game. At the rate your going Keen might as well turn over development of the next update to you. Your doing far more to give us working npc's than they are. Keep up the good work. I always enjoy the mods you make.

I LOVE this mod! I am, however, having an issue with grinding. I cannot open the mod menu, can't get the menu to show up under F2. So, I can't set a grind color. Is there a default grind color I can use?
