Fun fact: 25 teams have made the Conference Championship since the Cowboys did it last. Only missing Lions, Browns, Texans, Bengals, WFT, and Dolphins, and Cincy could be #26 if they beat Tennessee this week.
Even franchises known for choking and failure like the Vikings, Falcons, Jets and Jaguars have been more accomplished than the Cowboys in the last 26 years.
You know that got me thinking the other day. There are ebb and flow with every America sports league. Sure you might not win, but at least you make some noises. I realized that some franchise is just in purgatory by just being good enough. Cowboys you either tank or make some drastic move.
As an Eagles fan, this game brought a smile to my face. Considering where they were halfway through the season, I never would've expected them to make it to the wild card game. The Eagles did more during the "rebuilding" year than Dallas did in "this is our year" year (which is every year apparently.) At least we don't have to watch Dallas brag about how "this is their year for the 13,865th year in a row." We can watch play ad infinitum and see them choke away their playoff hopes in spectacular fashion again and again. Also, "HoW 'bOuT tHeMmMmMm CoWbOoOoOoOyS1!1!1!1!"
I'm a Cowboys fan, and even I know we didn't do shit for a large portion of our season. Penalties all over the USA, a time management that makes every second a loss for them and by God, the misplays. I love when they win. I love when we have momentum. But I KNOW it doesn't mean a damn thing if they don't show up to play. They're just like any other team. They have good days, and bad days. Good players and bad. Good and bad coaching? Boy, I can't. Which makes me hate the "fans" that overhype them to the moon, when ANY game can be a loss. No team is without fault, but it takes ANY team to put you down. Lions? They had a few wins. Tennessee? Does anyone Remember the last time they met Houston? Hell, Dallas lost to the jets the last time they fought. I can rant for days about the state of being the "Lolcow" of the season, and I probably will say we damn deserved it because we shot out own damn feet. But I can still be a fan, and know when we're overhyped and need to just shut up and play. Just play some football, and act like you actually WANT to play some damn football, Dallas.

This is the way.
It’s well deserved.

That Lord of the Rings reference was solid. Nice touch, Tree!
Eh, he’s had better; this one was kinda surface level…I would have likened something related to the despair of Cowboy fans to “drums…drums in the deep”
Wait I’ve got some better ones:
That play on 4th and 11 late in the fourth by Dallas has the announcers saying “they’re coming!”
“Much like the dwarves trapped in the Chamber of Mazrabul, the Cowboys cannot get out…and the ‘Niners are coming”
Or perhaps “One does not simply ride high-end talent to a Super Bowl…”?
Cowboy fans realizing their false hope:
“There never was much hope; just a fool’s hope…”

That makes everything even funnier. A QB Draw with an extra 8 seconds to make the loss a thousand times better for America
But tree is right if the Cowboys had won that game Holy shit would there have been a firestorm as the Cowboys were literally gifted 8 seconds and I know that's not exactly alot of time but it could have been enough time for a hail Mary shot so yea point being 49ers nearly got screwed over by the refs what that official did in the end was simply justice
San Francisco is also known as The City (note the capital T and C).
This game shows me more that Mike McCarthy belongs in Dallas. He has the same personalities of the average Cowboys fan.
As a cowboys fan, I have to sadly agree.
9:38 The best use of sound effects in the history of Tree videos!
The deep dive near the end was so good. Tree for TNF analyst next year
The NFL doesn't deserve a goat like him to
Eff that. Manning Cast needs to have Tree on.
Tree even missed the fact that the cowboys tried to spot their own ball several yards ahead of where Dak started his slide (and thus where the ball should have been spotted)
The umpire moves the ball back a foot, the center moves the ball forward a foot, but the umpire STILL lets them get the play off despite the Cowboys being, objectively, several yards offside.

Plus, Kyle Shannahan is your head coach
hes not the most amazing but isnt he playing with a shoulder injury and torn thumb ligament right now? i could be wrong but i thought he has both those issues so you gotta expect mistakes (like that god awful int) to happen because he cant always maintain a good grip on the ball or anything shoulder injuries can cause.

The Bengals, after the Buccaneers defeat of the Eagles, are the only NFL team to not have a playoff win in consecutive seasons. Can't wait for 2022.
Well its 26 now
Yep you can knock cincy off that list. No Bungals this year, will have to wait for next

Now if you can somehow beat Aaron Rodgers and the Packers that would cause even more hilarity and chaos.
The amount of joy this video gave me can not be measured 😂
As an Eagles fan, this game brought a smile to my face. Considering where they were halfway through the season, I never would've expected them to make it to the wild card game. The Eagles did more during the "rebuilding" year than Dallas did in "this is our year" year (which is every year apparently.) At least we don't have to watch Dallas brag about how "this is their year for the 13,865th year in a row." We can watch play ad infinitum and see them choke away their playoff hopes in spectacular fashion again and again.
