Las Vegas Raiders vs. Dallas Cowboys (November 25, 2021) - The Greatest Game

- At 4 PM Eastern Time on a (hopefully) relaxing American holiday, over thirty-five million people gathered around during or after Thanksgiving dinner to watch two storied franchises do battle in the hallowed grounds of Jerry's opulent shrine. However, to many unsuspecting viewers, they saw more than what they bargained for.
They saw incredible feats. They saw endless refball. They saw greatness.
This video is merely tribute to the game, and its numerous flags, that was witnessed on Turkey Day. If I didn't, I probably would've been penalized for it.
The pylon was truly the hero of the game
Karma for all the Refball throughout the years.
You must construct more Pylons!
@@DaKdawg more pylons
That ref ate shit
honestly if u ask me every single cowboy fan ive ever met seems racist af and honestly if u ask me i was super happy to watch them lose this game decided to look it up and saw this video was super happy to find it honestly bunch of trump supporting dallas fans losing? sign me up
If Jerry continues his feud with the NFL please make him his own show. The Game of Jones needs to happen
Jones vs Goodell plz
"GAME OF JONES"
Why didn't I think of that sooner? Brilliant idea.
If Refball was an awards show, this would take Game of the Year!
No joke. I miss Ed Hochuli.
Tree should do that with his stream buddies at the end of the season.
Honestly, I disagree. The game was filled with penalties but not a lot of them were egregious calls. And a lot of them are debatable. And most importantly, the calls were (for the most part) consistent. The game was penalty filled but the calls were not overly bad or inconsistent unlike other games
@@anonymousperson3023 the problem is that both teams are shitshows

i'll leave this here th-cam.com/video/8sKX3tWaOew/w-d-xo.html
This should have been a continuous series
"This pylon was given a 15 yard penalty for taunting an official."
😂😂🤣🤣🤣
That was the funniest part of this, seriously! 🤣🤣🤣
Cowboys fan who was born, raised, still living in vegas. Being only 4 the last time they won the superbowl, this game was everything i've grown to know and expect of the cowboys: offense, terrible penalties, and a defense that always lets us down at the end. This was the greatest game and i was eager to hear Tree's retelling of the fabled game...well done sir
To add on to the pain, the Texans have won more playoff games in their entire existence than Dallas since 2000
@@Iannnus Wrong. The Texans have only been around since 2002. Houston's team before them was the Oilers, who are now the Titans.
@@Iannnus actually double the Cowboys amount.
That is to say 4 to the Cowboy’s 2.
Refball: The Game
Still more fun than Madden
Not Madden '08 though, that game is godlike.
Shawn Hochuli was tired of being called “Ed Hochuli’s son”, so he took it upon himself to make a name for himself. LOL
Wasn’t Ed Hochuli known as one of the best referees?
@@obijuanquenobi1911 wow!! That father-son effect. It's like comparing Jack and Joe Buck.
@@obijuanquenobi1911 Yes.

The chances of the Coin being right 11 times in a row are theoretically 1 in 2,048, or less than 0.05%. Impressive
It's a weighted coin, so if you assume preseason odds are accurate, then it's slightly higher.
@@mr.gentlezombie8709 if you looked at the paper, he had the odds listed next to each week on it being right, and the cowboys game is marked 1/2048, so it’s not weighted
Love that this is turning into a regular series
Props to showing respect to sounding of the seventh Trumpet 👌👌
@@gh2471 severely underrated album🐐
Good album
NFL keeps giving tree new material year after year. Gotta love it!
And I cannot wait for the new episode on the Diva.
Needs to be a discussion with how this crew called that “head” false start on a center two weeks in a row. They called it on Lucas Patrick the week before too.
Eh he also flinched they didn't have to call it but it's not like the call was wrong
the fact the raiders still went for the FG at the end even when the referees gave them a 1st down was so hilarious, it was like "fuck it, i don't even care, just end both our collective miseries"
It was the safest option objectively
My opponent had the Raiders kicker so the Raiders ending up with a 1st down out of that was a miracle for me. Then they kicked a field goal anyways
@@10thletter40 true. but it still had the feel. I think there were 10s of millions of people feeling it.
@@10thletter40 emmm...there hadn't been any turnovers yet so there wasn't a precedent to justify being safe, there were still 4 minutes left and if you score 33 points against someone in regulation...it likely wasn't by 11 FGs.
I get your argument, but still...the decision screamed more "just end this" than "this has a 100% success rate", who knows...maybe the game could have ended like the hallowed "kick six" between the browns and ravens in 2015
The refs didn’t give the raiders a first down
Life as a Raiders fan is one of anxiety, pain, brotherhood, and sick tunes 😔
I’m happy yet deeply troubled that we’re barely halfway through the season and we’ve already had 3 of The Greatest Games
To be fair the Bengals packers greatest game was legit a really good game not even being so bad its good. The lions and steelers and this tho. Total trash
Despite playing for the Cowboys, Anthony Brown got the Raiders game ball
Nah, the Raiders. 3 out of 4 of his PIs weren't actual penalties. Refs were simply told to make sure the Raiders won
@@jdjd6251 glad someone said it. I don't know why so many people don't know that turning your head is not actually a rule lol
@@jdjd6251 Why would the league want the Raiders to beat the Cowboys
@@nattercakes2384 from the NFL rulebook:
"Acts that are pass interference include, but are not limited to:
- Contact by a player who is not playing the ball that restricts the opponent’s opportunity to make the catch;
...
- Cutting off the path of an opponent by making contact with him, without playing the ball;"
If you are trying to argue that Anthony Brown did neither of these things, it's time to take off the homer goggles and start actually watching football.
The reason people cite the "not turning the head" is because it's easy to argue that you aren't playing the ball when you aren't looking for the ball.
@@nattercakes2384 Acts that are permissible by a player include, but are not limited to:
(A) Incidental contact by an opponent’s hands, arms, or body when both players are competing for the ball, or neither player is looking for the ball. If there is any question whether contact is incidental, the ruling shall be no interference.
(B) Inadvertent tangling of feet when both players are playing the ball or neither player is playing the ball.
(E) Contact by a player who has gained position on an opponent in an attempt to catch the ball.
I would say turning of the head is a very good indicator that the d-man is 'looking for the ball' or 'playing the ball'
Ofc there is so exceptions where a DB or corner can be not looking an time it perfectly to go up and get between the arms/hands of the reciever but a split second early and its PI
69 total points, such a nice score for a nice display of refball
TheGiantRanger sorry to correct you, but I think you were supposed to say *clicks tongue* Noice 😂
With all of these greatest games we've been getting, you might as well call 2021 The Greatest Season
If the playoff games are messy he might as well.
@@DANNY74125 Definitely holds true, those playoffs were absolutely wild
I had a feeling the NFL would become a flag football league someday. I just didn’t expect that it would be a refball flag football league.
This video and the game were both absolute masterpieces so many great characters, so many heart-wrenching moments, this was The Greatest Game.
Shawn Hochuli: aka NFL's Angel Hernandez. If his last name wasn't Hochuli he would be officiating beer leagues.
I can’t wait for the game when he kicks out a fan.

This was the first nfl game i have ever attended. I quickly got into the habit of looking for a flag after every big play.
My dad and I have that as a habit. Every single time there’s a big play for the Cowboys this season we literally joke (and half the time are right) saying WAIT WAIT FOR THE FLAG
And lo and behold, half the time the play is over for 5-10 seconds and then u see the yellow FLAG pop up
“Gotta turn your head around, man. This isn’t Detroit.”
I see what you did there. Yes, I’m still mad about that game.
Same
Whats funny is Lions fans still mad when the only contact on that play was the Lion's receiver grabbing the Cowboys player's facemask

The amount of refball in this game was on another level.
5:50 almost made me fucking die laughing. The delivery on that oof was just perfect!

Really hilarious. The sound effects used in these videos are always perfect with what occurs.
Awesome video as always tree. Im loving how insane the nfl season is rn, but I literally only keep up with it because of you 😂 the reffing has gotten out of hand and it is tearing the nfl apart just like it did the nba for so long.. such a damn shame. Its honestly hard to sit through most of the games for me now, so I thoroughly enjoy all the videos you put out every week since it keeps me up to date.
Even though I’m a raiders fan I still booed the bad calls, even when they were helping us
I'd say that makes you a true fan of the game, homie!
Same made the game last way to long lol
Plus now the cowboys fans have an excuse lol
Pylon the MVP we all needed this game.
It felt really good hearing The Autumn Wind at the end of this
"you've gotta get your head around, this isn't Detroit" As a lions fan this really cut deep
He wasn't wrong though :X
As a Dallas fan the issue Jerry has is he doesn't build for the future he builds for now. It's why Romo never got a ring and why Dak will be screwed if we miss the super bowl this year as the team will struggle to build with the cap space we have.
Reminds me of a sign I saw a Cowboys fan hold up once at an NFL Draft: "Can we trade our picks for a real GM?"
Should unload Elliott.
No what yall need is for jerry to sit his white hair ass down & shut the fk up, let mccarthy do his job even though it seems more like dan quinn is the coach, yall lost to a team that has more drama then a daytime soap opera lmaooo 🤦♂️
@@donnellwilliams3988 like I said, Jerry needs to stop being a GM. He is never ready for the future
I cannot rewatch this game, even with Tree narrating. I literally feel my mental scabs opening back up
The minute I watched this game in full I knew you would cover it thanks Tree.
I wasnt going to watch this video because I didn't think my heart could handle reliving the greatest refball I've ever seen but great job UTree, truly wonderful stuff.
The last time I was this early, the Steelers hadn’t been blown out by the Bungles. Gawd, that was bad.
Wow! A Tank Bowl, Days Of our Steelers, AND Greatest Game in one week? A blessing from the salty football gods. XD
Hey it's the holiday season. Maybe the football gods actually decided to give us something great this year instead of being cruel fucks. And that they did 😊
That moment when this NFL season is so insane that as of right now, there are 3 games that got the Greatest Game treatment. And then Tree realizes that there are still 6 weeks of football to be played, which means potentially more Greatest Games, refball moments, Days of our Steelers, fuck you Spanos, SpongeBob sound effects, HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAAAAAAY!, etc.
Everyone please send him a lot of your love, support, and beer. He is really going to need it. Brace yourselves everyone. We are in for 6 weeks of total chaos.
That cardinals Seahawks game that ended with a tie a few years ago should be considered as one of The Greatest Games
Nawl this the one gang
The one with two missed field goals at the end? Yes, it was definitely a "greatest game."
Despite the refball, this was much better than either of the other two Thanksgiving games
The fact that the coin accurately predicted the record for the Raiders is actually so lucky
Sean Hochuli’s crew is a walking dumpster fire of officiating. MVPs of the year!!!
Common on let’s be honest lots of those flags were deserved. You can’t grab a players arm and prevent him from catch the ball.
The pylon deserves the Defensive Player of the Year for that incredible tackle.
This was the first of Tree's Greatest Games I saw live but given that it was a Thanksgiving game it was a guaranteed watch.
I haven't seen refball of this quality since Brady was still with us in NE. It's... beautiful
Raiders: 36 points
Cowboys: 33 points
Referees: 28 penalties
I mean bad calls gave the Raiders 20 points and took 4 away from Dallas. So it would more accurately be Dallas 37-20 Raiders
@@jdjd6251 the raiders got screwed also out of points as well
ive watched this like 10 times and I saw the game live
this game was just truly incredible 😂
i love the dramatic narration and the character it was both informal and hilarious, was cracking up the whole time.
even better was that there were a incredible amount of missed calls in this beautiful game
I think the Browns Ravens game deserved the "Greatest Game" treatment myself...
Give him time. His editor had the stomach flu.
Last week had legit 3 greatest games 2 in the same day lions bears cowboys raiders ravens browns all greatest games
“Sneak in to the playoffs with a 10-7 record” That actually happened
My favorite line from Dallas last year was: "Ben Dinucci? Who the hell is THAT?!"
Love the way you do commentary this is the real way football should be watched. With commentary like this not that anemic TV commentary. As far as number 30 on Dallas where were the defensive coaches. It was obvious the kid was playing in fear and staring at his cover. The game was lost by the Dallas defensive coaches because they did not coach this kid up is up nor did they change things to give him help at half time. Is a big plus to the raiders offensive coaches who saw this from the start and saved it for an ideal situation. Is that long throw and interference was not an accident. It was a heads I win tails you lose play. Raiders knew full well if the receiver caught the ball at that point they were given a big chance but if there was interference interference it was the same thing. Big thumbs down to Dallas defensive coaches. How are they that stupid that they Built-in and and an offensive play into the raiders playbook for the day. Defensive coaches for Dallas we're not self aware or game aware. Absolutely love the commentary style you use!!!!!!!!!!
If Jerry losing and sending a message to the league is what it takes to fix the problem of these refs, so be it I guess.
Which calls in this game were bad to you?
Could you imagine if the cowboys played the lions? The amount of flags would make the universe implode.
You should do a video about the season of the Raiders, I would totally watch it
I'm certain that two missed extra points, and a 59-yd missed FG had NOTHING to do with Dallas losing.
When your team is struggling, don't expect any help.
There were shit calls both ways.
Also when you have a guy give away 4 blatant PIs and you jump offside twice on the game winning field goal you can’t blame the refs
Like sure sure it is terrible and changed the game. But ya can't just do that
Flags on both sides sure. But were any on the raiders for more than 10 yds? Shit even 1 pi was worth more than any of those. 1 of those pi's shouldnt of been because the ball wasnt even the air. Thats holding/Illegal contact at bests which is 5 yards and isnt automatic feild goal range every time you throw a deep ball. The last and final PI it's hard to turn your head around when the reciever is holding your helmet forward.
@@TheRealMrMackey yeah but how many of those were legit calls I'd ask. Yeah the one in overtime was obvious, like Tree said you gotta get your head around but those others? Those look like he's defending the pass
Besides all sunday there was way more contact than anything I saw Brown do last Thursday and yet weren't called.
15-2 and 5th seed instead of 7th…all hail the magic coin 🪙
I actually enjoyed the game despite the ridiculous amounts of penalties. The best part of it was the sight of Jerry Jones melting down. Beautiful!
I remember when the Refs decided to use a folded paper to give the Cowboys a first down on a 4th down and short
Greatest game “Referee edition” would have been a better title
Ehh
watching dan quinn manage one of the best offenses in the league after being mister zone defense is killing me as a falcons fan
I believe dan is the defensive coordinator, not offensive coordinator
@@Andre217 yeah you're right well I feel slightly less bad
I still feel bad as a Falcons fan because he was the DC of the 2013 Seahawks defense yet our defense was complete shit. Nothing against him since he seems like a good guy but damn…
These little on this day videos are great
I’m liking how he post on his community page alot
To be fair the penalties were technically warranted, but at some point you just have to let the players play the damn game
It felt too one sided though. When it was on the Cowboys, a lot of them were just keeping Raider's drives alive. BS penalties gave the Raider at least 2 touchdowns. Whenever the call went Dallas' way? It was miniscule and didn't do much to a drive.
@@ackbarfan5556 the firat drive from the Raiders was legitimate. The second one had 1 questionable PI. That's mostly it. Give up big penalties, give up big yards. A majority of the flags thrown were genuinely penalties. The ones that werent didn't really help either side more. Dallas just took more big penalties and paid the consequence
To me, refs deciding to swallow their whistles is as bad calling marginal penalties. Line up in a legal formation, don't mug the receiver, etc, if you don't want a penalty.
@Yaboi LilDepresso cowboys had no WR1/2 or DE1/2 Tf you mean Dallas was supposed to destroy them 😂
Oh I didn't expect a video like this from that game particularly... guess I was distracted cause I keep getting flagged for breathing.
An epic score for an epic game
One of your masterpieces.
The Asstros and Rob Manfred forced the MLB to enter a lockout phase!
I hate to admit it but ref ball made this game more fun to watch, especially as a fan of neither team.
Agree. The refball turned into the main entertainment. Shawn Hochuli just wanted to be the MVP and more time on camera. Heck the game even went into overtime which means more Ref TV.
This is the live proof that balanced refball can make you a good game, I enjoyed it like a little kid.
It wasn’t balanced bozo
