Yay, lore time!
So, reason that the slain indicator took so long was because the target wasn't the boss, but rather the baby. It took so long because it wasn't over until that baby was dead. Did I mention that baby was a great one, and the child of that woman at the bottom of the lift? The handcuffs you masterfully noticed are there because the great ones must procreate with humans to reproduce, willing or otherwise.
Also cool to note, every single other time it says "Prey Slain", but in this case, you see "Nightmare Slain" to indicate that the fight itself was far more substantial, final in a way, that you have ended the whole thing, implying that all that is left is to see Gehrman for the end of the game. Really cool imo

There is 3 endings, the first one doesn’t has any boss, the second one has 1 boss, and the third one has 2 bosses, the first 2 endings are choices, you choose whatever you want, but the third one is specifically choosing the "Refuse" option but you have to have consumed 3 one thirds of the umbilical cord, there are 4 but you only need 3. I'm loving this series ❤

To access the DLC, go back to the cathedral ward and head left. Remember that black hole thing just to your right? Get grabbed by it. Make sure you have the eye of the blood drunk hunter.

hi jev ! while watching your play through, you’ve missed a lot of important secret areas, such as Iosefka’s clinic which can be found near the forbidden woods which will give you an invitation to Cainhurst castle which will give you the option to fight the boss there
i’m pretty sure you missed Charnel Lane which can be found by going right of the Grand Cathedral ! ( if you take the invitation from Iosefka’s clinic and take it to charnel lane that’s how you access cainhurst )
if you go back to the upper cathedral ward, and go to the right before going into the building, there will be a secret door which will take you to “the old hunters workshop” where you can find another umbilical cord + clothes that can be sold for a lot of echos !
Hey Jev, for the final upgrade on your weapon you will need a blood rock, there is only one in the base game and its in the nightmare of Mensis below the mass of flesh that causes frenzy.
jev there is a hidden true ending with an extra main story boss you have to check it out before finishing the game .

Good decision! If you were to do it on NG+ you would have to clear 90% of the game to be up to level, even though you can access dlc early its still end game content. Also if you havent already, remember to slot runes into your weapon, can get some massive buffs
There's a blood rock around the area you fought mergo's nurse, lets you get a weapon to +10.
Also, that Iron door key you found last video wasn't for the boss arena of micolash, its for the area around mergo's nurse. There's a door somewhere, that needs that key, and leads to a few things.
I know people have said this before, but I would highly recommend exploring the area to the left of the vicar amelia boss room. the boss there is optional, but it gives you an item that lets you equip buffs. basically the equivalent of talismans from elden ring. also you asked before if there are spells, there are. in this game they are resusable items that you can equip in your inventory. you have a few: empty phantasm shell and tiny tonitrus. sick videos man, love to see it

Jev is playing bloodborne for the first time, like he plays elden ring for the 24th time, just running straight from one boss to another, and then gets mad when hes underleveled or lacks knowledge, i love this guy.

I’ve completed Bloodborne but I’ve never played its DLC. Is it the hardest soulsborne dlc? Ik it had 2 insanely difficult bosses lol.
The DLC isn’t *that* hard but you probably need to get to the endgame of your NG+ before attempting the DLC cause the bosses are just ridiculous

@@kindofahater6385 it’s not as hard as some people make it seem (just like bloodborne in general) but the bosses are definitely harder than the main story bosses. First one will kick your ass to hell and back.
@@kindofahater6385Ludwig, Laurence and Orphan are a definite step up in difficulty. Laurence on NG+ in particular is absolute hell
jev the side bosses are so worth doing for levelling and some of them are amazing bosses
some tips for ebrietas, you wanna get behind her to do most of your attacks and ludwigs holy blade is probably the best weapon for the fight because shes weak to thrust attacks, that and just the strength scaling on the weapon will make it pretty easy

I heard that someone's interpretation of the wet nurse is that we can't see the head because what we're looking at is so strange our mind can't even comprehend it and thus we just block it out and that's really cool
Jev if you want to experience all endings in one playthrough the game doesnt have the load option but you can copy your save data (which is the save that is from before the final boss)to a flash drive or something then go to the game end the game then overwrite the save data of storage with the one you stored in flash ( which the save is for before the ending ) this can save you from two new playthroughs for other endings

To jev, You have to equip some runes on you, you have to defeat a witch boss to unlock a tool in which you can put the runes

Fun Fact: You can actually bypass the nightmare veil attack of Mergo’s Wetnurse (the one where she spawns all the clones) if you dodge right as she casts it

There’s an optional area in Mergo’s Loft: Middle on one of the elevator shortcuts that you saw but didn’t enter which leads to the item that will fully upgrade a weapon!
Though it’s a tricky area with VERY annoying mobs, bring sedatives.
If you want to do all of the bosses there is one locked behind 5 chalice dungeon chalices which is an insane grind to get through

Go get the augur it’s so helpful I forget where to get it but it helps keeping distance while doing damage and can stagger mobs too
the reason why it takes a long time to say "nightmare slain" is because after you kill the baby's caretaker, the baby dies shortly after, you can hear them exhale one last time, the baby was the great one "Mergo" not the wet nurse you kill
I’m never going to be able to not see the wet nurse boss whenever I hear about biblically accurate angels. That design is haunting af.
hey jev wanted to say there’s some quest lines that can only be done before a certain point and only continued after a certain point if you go to far into the game you might end up only being able to do some parts of a quest giving only some but not all rewards

Hi jev just a tip for when you do the witches of hemwick you have to make sure you have as much insight as possible or the fight will be extremely annoying because you cant see the enemies

So the “baby” was invisible because it was a Great One. Great Ones are basically the gods or higher beings of Bloodborne. Some Great Ones are invisible because they reside in another realm beyond the players understanding.
Ok so the umbilical cords are needed for the secret final boss to be fightable
The first is found in the tower where you got Ludwig's blad but go right at the start of the tower instead of up then drop down continue on and once inside look down and right until you see a small wooden platform you need to fall on then fall of it to the right onto another one and you can enter a door and get it.
Number 3 you already have from the wet nurse so the final one needed is from iosefka in her clinic after you kill her on the table (you'll know when you see it) accessed by going to the forbidden woods lantern and going normally until the small village, going Right and hugging the left wall until a very clear path lets you continue in to the cliff wall. Head through a small poison swamp and go up two long ladders until you come out at the top and from there you can continue only on one path so you'll find it eventually anyway.
There are 4 umbilical cords even though it says "one third" but I can't remember where that is.

4th one is from sending the yharnam hoe npc to Cathedral ward and then she gives you an umbilical chord when you find her in the upper level of the tomb of oeden area. Only appears after defeating wet nurse though so jev is past that point since he never did npc quests
I know This is late but instead of farming for vails and bullets you should do the 84k chalice dungeon which you can easily do it by following TH-cam tutorials

After doing the optional/dlc bosses,to fight Gherman you need to reject his offer. To get the Moon Presence you need 3 umbilical cords.
We all know the real boss that'll make Jev cry is Celestial Emissary.
Getting all 3 Umbilical Cords and consuming them puts you up against the true final boss.

The last boss is in the dream all the way to the right behind the fence, and there are four umbilical chords but you only need 3

There’s an elevator near the wet nurse that has a hole in the wall you can roll in. You’ll be able to lower the brain causing all the frenzy in the area. You also get a rock to fully upgrade your sword. Killing the brain afterward will give you another rune!
