- Scholar Says Phnom Penh Now Prone to Future Floods
Phnom Penh is the largest city on the Mekong River and sits at its confluence with the Tonle Sap. Yet the city has never been directly flooded by its rivers. That may be about to change. Shelby Doyle, a Fulbright scholar in architecture, discusses the city's new vulnerability to flooding, due to massive urban development schemes, with VOA Khmer's Soeung Sophat.
