A lot of these mini PCs have settings in the BIOS to turn on with the power. Then you can have a button that launches a script to turn off the PC using something like Autohotkey. Easiest solution without having to open the PC, drill, or solder anything.
Fantastic. I got the same mini PC for my 2 player cabinet I just started building. I was wondering how to wire everything so it all starts at the same time with this PC? I watched the new 1h long video with the relay boards but I can't figure out how the pc is going to send power to the board? Have I missed something?
I just did this on a new GMKtec Nuckbox G5 and the solder points are terribly small and directly next to the LED power leads. Its a 4 pin mini switch. That was a nightmare to solder and I had to use my LCD microscope to do it. I wish these companies would just add some VIAs or test pads for use to wire our own switch.
Huge help. I have a pc mounted behind my dash to run my ECU tuning system. This is what i was looking at doing

Thanks, but this is a more professional/reliable way in my opinion :-)
switchbot would do the job too
As always, great video Daniel!

thnak you for this i am modding the same mini pc
Thank you for sharing!
Great guide thanks. I have been looking to do this on a Dell optiplex micro for an arcade build.
Thanks for sharing.
Great video, I recently got one of these and want to make a custom console out of it. This will help me make a alternate power switch.
Thank you!

I connected the relay board to a SATA cable :-)
Great guide, thank you!
Thanks for the video, it’s going to help me with my build too. Do you also know what are the points for the + and - of the LED?
Hi, these leds will usually work in both directions (Bi-Directional Led)
Great, thanks for sharing.

Haha you are right. I now bought a digital microscope that solves this problem in a cool way! Super easy to solder SMD size components now :)
@@TheDanielSpies_Arcades yeah I actually used a digital microscope to solder my mini pc board switch. lol I need a better iron.
@thedanielTheDanielSpies_Arcades what type of cord/wire is that? (whats the name if I wanted to get a longer cord for the external switch.
3 PIN JST connector? The wires can be any AWG as there is (almost) no current running through them.
Or just modify the bios to turn on automatic instead of do that lol
