- After MenaRD showed what was possible with this character at CEO, he instantly jumped to the top tier of my personal tier list. The defensive options and damage off of combos are crazy. Now I take him to ranked for the second video in our road to master series for him and see if we can win with him. Turns out, the win streak just doesn't stop...

I landed in diamond with blanka so it’s so cool to see more experimentation with a character that’s not played a lot.
Love to watch you work, brother. Very interested to see who you stick with for tourneys since you can basically beast with anyone
this is why you should just spend 5 mins in training figuring out what your character can do to counter blanka ball

@@mattgoodwin953no Fr tho. I started playing the game with Luke and really enjoy his character, he actually has a few options against blanka ball that still means you have to guess but you have a chance.
I switched to mannon which has been probably the worst experience against blanka I’ve ever had. Her dp has to be timed perfectly or you lose and her invincible reversal has so much start up time that you still fucking lose. Her level 2 super can work if done perfectly but a good blanka will bait it out with light ball.
I’ve never felt a worse match up in my personal experience of almost 12 years playing fighting games competitively than mannon vs blanka. I somehow can fight guile’s and jps way more consistently as mannon than I have ever had a chance against a blanka.
@@MGTarkusmanon can do crouch fierce if im not mistaken, but if not, charge characters are good vs blanka cause well if you react to blanka ball then its just ggs
@MGTarkus manons ex attack grab beats ball but you can be greatly baited
@MGTarkus also Luke's knee beats ball and allows for juggles. Ball isn't that great...that's why he has a safe on block version cause you don't have to block.
Blanka is the hidden top tier, hes basically better honda

I play both and I think the higher you get (I have them both in plat) the fact that Blanka just gives your opponent so much more to keep track of is a real problem for them
I also have lots of trouble linking light hands into super 3 for some reason grrrrrrr.. Blanka super setups are better anyway
@@mattgoodwin953i got my blanka placement matches and got him immediately in plat 3, and that was at the start of the game when plat players were good, and my honda is now in diamond, and all i have to say is i just went to ranked matches for my placement with blanka, never touched him before and still got plat 3, he is the most insane character in this game at low, mid level
@@philipsalibo7641 Main reason Honda beats him is the first few frames of Honda's headbutt counter ball every time. And at very little risk to Honda. If it weren't for that, the match up would easily be in Blanka's favor.
Blanka is better than honda.
My first time playing a charge character and I love how Blanka plays. Still having lots a trouble getting his balls out consistently but it'll be fun once it's regular and not super obvious

Because they are blanka players. Simple as that.
Its probably cause they're hard to play against for similar reasons, except butt slam is harder to deal with than blanka ball, and Honda's execution is easier, so lower rank players have to deal with him more.

Got a DP? Use it ✔️
Can't/Don't have a DP? Perfect Parry ✔️
Can't Perfect Parry? DI ✔️
Can't DI? Say Goodnight ✔️

I play Blanka and Juri too. I find it much easier to win with blanka. Hes like a secret top.teir chatchter.

That fast ball rebound on block should be a little bit slower in order to the opponent to have the opportunity to punish it, just in a little time window. But at the same time, Blanka would have time to charge an air ball as well.
You can punish it with drive impact and parry rush. Just gotta get good fam. If they did what you said it would make Blanka a LOT worse for no reason.
I love Blanka and am really enjoying watching Nephew (a top SF6 content creator) do so well with Blanka.
Blanka can do around 20% chip dmg if someone is in burnout with lvl 2 and a lvl 1 finisher. Just loop St. Hp into forward medium ball into downforward medium ball over and over again and then after the third loop immediately do lvl 1 and it should all be a true blockstring.

Undeservedly got Plat 2 with Blanka. I just...don't get his flow. He feels extremely high risk in order to get ANY sort of combo.
Does the win streak bonus only apply to plat and lower?
