At 13:25, are you delaying the forward hop a split second after the "sweep" knocks them down? It seems like when I try this meterless meaty option I often times end up behind them if I don't delay it slightly, even if they backroll.
Man amazing guide, would never be able to do everything you can do (I am silver lol) but would love to see you do some actual games with Blanka online ! Also is there a best controller setting to have with him ? It is my first SF so I am not to sure whever or not I need to change settings or not
No worries. Practice will help alot, and for the controller, I am using a Ps4 controller, is cheap and solid for fighting games also ps5 works but I believe Ps4 controller is better. I'm regards of the matches, I will upload some soon 😁
Sorry for the long delay.. For the training settings you can manually record the setup then you try blocking to make sure it works, also you can record the dummy cpu to block high or low.
For the overhead version is blocking low, for the low version is blocking high and for the reset with the forward hop I manually recorded to hold diagonal down/back to simulate a mixup Or Let me know which version you would like to check

Sorry lol, after the slide, you can be very close to your opponent if you do a forward hop and it will also give you enough time to do your B.MK, if the opponent blocks then just do a small step forward and grab, it will also grab the opponent if they attempt to walk back, but if they mash with their fastest normal (C.LP) then you will get hit, if that happens, use the Drive Rush + B.MK option and it will beat their normal with the grab 😁 let me know if it helps
Yeah those combos are just in case you want to style on your opponent lol with Blanka just do the s.hp into DR+S.hk repetition and it should be enough to do over 55% damage with level 3
hi thanks for the vid lots of helpful stuff in here. i'm having trouble doing tiger knee rolling attacks and jump MP into rolling attack (especially after doing ex rolling attack on the ground). any advice you can give me? i am a pad player if that helps at all.
Yeah actually I had the exact same problem, the trick to do the jump MP into the rolling attack is to delay the rolling attack. Once you connect the EX rolling attack, keep holding back until Blanka recovers from the EX RA, jump back with MP, wait a few frames then do forward MP / HP. If you do it too fast after the Jumping MP connects, it will not come out
You could punish back jumps with Blankas LK anti air ball, it has a very long range or you could do neutral drive rush into his standing HK so you can follow up with a combo after 😁

Great guide. Some of these combos are far from optimal though. Blanka almost burned out and used all super meter for 3500 damage 🥴
