@@endo9881 haha real, i sold my jet engine 2 years ago and i still miss it.. it's like a broken thing that only i know how to maneuver it and I'm 200% sure that the person that bought my ps3 trashed it by now, he was a super textbook nerd, called me in the middle of the night to ask if he will be needing internet to make a new account lol, i regretted selling it to him.. i wish i would've just keep it man

After cleaning out the dust and the old thermal paste from the inside of my ps3 and applying some fresh thermal paste, i experienced some overheating too. Turns out the reason wasn't because i forgot to clean out dust from somewhere specific or because i didn't put on enough thermal paste. The reason came from the fact that the screws that press the metal thermal sink to the gpu and cpu weren't screwed on tight enough, so naturally my ps3 started sounding loud. If u have worked on ur ps3 from the inside, make sure the screws are placed back in tightly as they were before.
Very true, but this is a major problem with the PS3 phat's design.

@@Srvulpi It's nothing to worry about just the fans working really hard, just mod your ps3 and download webman mod so you can change the fan speed and there will be less noise
Yes ive had this and my ps3 fat overheated and shut down. I tried to add artic paste but busted up my ps3 in the process. Had to buy another PS3 slim and now that's getting very loud now too. My advice would be to back up anything you have on the Hdd and get a slim instead, as the Phat wouid need to have it's thermal paste renewed and if your are lucky it may work but for me, a new slim ps3 removed all of the old issues. Good luck.

as long as the system isn't hot there is almost nothing to worry about, it maybe has an error at the fan triggering it to be fast on itself
Is actually because the system is on a rug you should never put something that produce heat on a rug it will trigger the heat chip sensor
@@OldCartoonsFan sorry i was that stupid 2 years ago.. i put my ps3 on an old radio.. obv an old radio that can still turns on will make a heart attack amount of heat.. that's why my ps3 said it's overheating after 15 minute of usage. lol

Yes this instant over heat error can be caused by solder balls becoming losse form the pcb so before you start throwing fancy words at me, do you research .

replace the fan then if it still does that replace the power supply my slim was doin that so i replaced the fan and the powersupply, now it works like new, so if it works on a slim it should work on the origional. i found out what was wrong with my ps3 the sawder in the power supply was cracking and the fan cords were shot to hell now i replaced both then things because of a donation from my friend

If you wanna be a pilot just turn on this things engine and go throttle 25% then 50% then 75% and do go anymore
the cpu went out of temperature range.. it touched 90°c when on idle, but if you want more you can play uncharted 3 then.. that game loads your cpu about 80% and you know what will happen another 2 minutes

NEVER reflow a PS3 that hasn't YLOD yet because it's a death sentence, even with a reball there's only so much time left. That's a horrible idea.
That's what I'm saying, the PS3 still hasn't YLOD yet. He should try new thermal paste and compressed air. Messing with the ball grid array at the bottom of the PS3 by reflowing is a horrible idea if the console still recognizes the chips. If the console's already YLOD and you're living on borrowed time anyway (which I suspect has happened here) yes by all means reflow.

Actually...you do your research... The PS3 has a heat sensor, that can go off, however, checking his other vids this guy has had YLOD so this console is messed period. I'd reflow now.

Jajaja que incredulo, yo tenia ese problema tambien, en mi caso aunque cambie l pasta termica por una de muy buena calida y limpie todo seguia con sobrecalentamiento, la solucion fue un proceso delicado llamado DELID ya que el nucleo del CELL no hacia contacto con el IHS despues de hacer eso ya esta nomal .

@@francosaravia6772 Intentalo ya que es necesario por los años que tiene la consola, pero de preferencia verifica si en tu ciudad lo hacen ya que es un proceso delicado ya que si raspas algunas de las pistas del procesador o de la gpu, muere tu consola.
