I make CTS tutorials too. I have the exact same car as you in black. I changed my rear brakes and rotors tonight. I was going to make a tutorial about it, but yours was so well done and comprehensive, I'll just point people at you. No need to duplicate efforts when you did such a great job. So few videos on our type of car. Great work!
3rd Gen? I have a Black raven 2014 CTS luxury awd 2.0 and need all the videos I can get. Love watching them. I didn’t know if I could use the rear dif as a jack point. I may be doing injectors next as I have a p0171 lean code. No other issues with map, maf, o2 sensors the only issue is a rough idle here and there and my LTFT is 39 percent. Short term is high randomly but sometimes normal. I will be watching both for sure.
Does that 2014 have a electronic parking brake? I have a 16 CTS all-wheel drive and need to know if I need to put it into brake service mode to change my rear pads and rotor and if so how do I put it in service mode without a scan tool I know it can be done I just don't know how thanks for any help
Did I miss the part retracting the electronic rear brake calipers this seems to be a manual setup ?
I’m not seeing it either, I think my interior drum brakes are rubbing the inside
Very important and informative instructions.
I enjoyed that video ! Very professional in your instruction and execution.

Great Video! Very thorough. Thanks
Hi it’s the same procedure for the Ats models? Looks like the same. I’ll going to try. Thanks for the video and your patience 🎉
Man thank you!!!
You are welcome. Glad it helped!
I have a 2014 xts platinum and I had a hard time compressing the rear caliper. It couldn’t budge with a c-clamp. Any ideas?
Did you find a solution?
@@chrisbasilio8669 no sir
Did you figure it out ? Dealing with that right now
Hi would you know the exact part number for a 2014 CTS4 3.6 luxury front and rear rotors and pads? Thank you
Dont have to bleed the back brakes?
Fix the title of your video. There is no electronic parking brake on this vehicle.
