I’m very new to painting, I was just wondering about how you’re holding your brush. I guess I thought the best was was to hold it like a pencil, close to the tip. I see you hold it at the opposite end. Isn’t it less steady like that? I’m genuinely curious. Thank you.
I really admire the way you blended the colors together. However, I feel that you could spend some more time on the waves. Maybe a little darker blue to make them pop out. Also the reflexión of the sun on the shore reflecting the sun rays whee missing. Than again, that’s my personal opinion. Hope you’re not mad at me.

Hi Lori, Holding your brush at the heel (opposite end of the brushes) will make your paintings look more "loose" which is what most artist strive for.
