I tend to use KC Cyclones. I do crimp/heat shrink my installs, and the cyclone has thick/long enough wire that I can do what I need to do. --Plus, the wire is parallel to the back of the light, so it lays flat when installed and I can route it as-needed without having to smash the wire into a hard bend.
@Headlight Revolution Please see a Lux Offroad, they were featured (installed) by Wayoflife. I wouldn't use but just passing on the company name. Got hook on you all from the (your) "shoot outs." Lux, Wayoflife video. Don't forget your roots, happy holidays.th-cam.com/video/mpU9Ghd2wu4/w-d-xo.html
Confused at the beginning of presentation of the Profile lights you said you can do 4 sets of 4 rock lights but when you get to showing the XBT module you say there’s only 3 . So the question is can I do 12 or 16
Best Rock lights or wheel well lights are the ones that works when you need them to work, easy to replace when needed, availability, and cost effective. The main question is, do you really need them to off-road or just for show. Also check locals laws about them before installing the lights.
You mentioned that the KC Cyclones have some kind of push pin adapter. I have a Cyclone kit sitting in my garage that has the metal brackets but I don't see the push pin adapters. Also not on their website nor could I find it on the web. Could you give me a link to where I can find out more about this adapter and possibly purchase them? Thanks much. Love your company.
Good evening and happy holidays 2022. There is a first and second to my knowledge generations Cyclone lighting. The first definitely has male and female push type ends. I used on my Jeep JL role cage build and am on my current JL, Rockhard 4x4 rollcage. I find the pure white to be plenty bright and once ran to my sPOD will help add a usable front and rear reading/ dome lights. That's the best description I can provide for the KC Highlights "rock lights." As for rock lights, I will use Offroad Only rock lights. Not the most sophisticated wiring but should work to a sPOD, Jeeps (Wranglers) are afterall--Just Enough Essential Parts.
@@HeadlightRevolutionblack label is rock light from China that the manufacturer will etch your name into and sell to you. The majority of rock light companies all buy from China and get their name etched and sell for a massive markup That being said they are quality rock lights that are super bright (especially the pure white version) and last a long time
@DizzKidz these don't care about voltage can't attest to longevity when you use 20/24 voltage but it will light up anywhere from 9v to 24v will be brighter(slightly) the more voltage and will get hotter when you use 24v vs using 12v. Of course I'm talking about the rigid and the ones that are nearly identical to them not the other lights
Really should test them before roasting those c4 are indestructible js. They are 100 percent water proof. Ip68 and still are working 3 years later on our Sxs
@@HeadlightRevolution thanks for the reply but color changing doesn't tell me what RGB is otherwise you would have said CC. Not trying to be a D about it I'd just really like to k ow what RGB stands for is all.

Well, I really think you hated a little bit too much on the wiring stuff. Yeah, plug and play is convinient and helps with time consuming installs, but it is also a very bug compromise with the extra wiring, routing for a controller, etc. I dont really know if the KC hilites are that dimmed, but it seems to me like a great solution. Installing rock lights is an already time consuming process, so taking the time to figure out some stuff is not that bad at all. I personally like to have clean wires to be able to put my prefered weatherproof conectikns there by sawtering the ends together and adding some heatshrink. Not that hard to do. And the mounting options... yeah, magnets are convenient, but I would never trust a magnet off road, so that seems like a no go for me on a rocklight department. Finally, KC makes hands down the best offroad lights in the market, period. So I'm very surprised you rated them so low on the brightness department. It would be nice to actually see them side by side with the competitors in a dark environment (where the lights are meant to be used).
KC cyclone do not like to be used in the wheel well or even up on the frame... the plastic lens will be completely sandblasted and pitted in short order 🤨
Hands down the best rock light video on TH-cam! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome information! Can't wait to buy some for my boyfriend!
Glad it was helpful! Send us pix when he has them on.
Ball uy
You bad af girl
Would be fun to see beam pattern / spread shown per rock light. I prefer even light spread than max brightness.
Sure!
Profile Performance for the win, for me.
Can't go wrong there!

Thx for the comparison..
No problem!
wooohooo i love this video very informational!
Thanks we worked hard on this one!
I need to know which ones are the most waterproof. I learned this the hard way.
Hmmm... that would be an interesting video!
@@HeadlightRevolution that it would.
Hello do you have led lenses for jeep grand cherokee wk2
What about Baja designs???
We could test those at some point!
Kc just announced a 2nd version of the cyclone claims 600 lumens

You would have to run multiple controllers but sure!
he obviously has an issue with math.
9 LEDs is double what a 3 LED light has?

I don't personally have access to where those parts can be found. Sorry! 😟

Nope!
You could probably use a transformer.

Two pods per wheel? That's already too many.
Try 4 or 6! 🤟🏻
