Svetlana’s videos and other’s videos have changed my perceptions of Russia. I’ve always thought of Russia in terms of the old Soviet Brezhnev days. Everything is harsh, rudimentary and long lines for everything. The country and the people are a lot more modern and Western in their appearance and style than I thought. I have a much more positive view of Russia.

You could also take photos of your room, the view from the window, as you lie in your bed for the last time and that beautiful wallpaper, so that you can always be there for a little bit if you miss it...because you will surely remember it sometimes. :)

One can tell surgut is a wealthy city. Everything looks very clean, nice apartment blocks and shopping centers. You'll miss the snow and inexpensive prices, particularly medical/dental.
I remember this town from when it was a swamp, but now Surgut one of the best city in Western Siberia
@@oktyabrenok07 Oil revenue can do great things for the locality. I did read that with factories across Russia producing arms 24/7 for SMO, many of these workers are getting wages unheard of for these type of families before. So hopefully wealth will get spread out in Russia now to working classes, and not just in Moscow and SPB and Jewish 'businessmen'

Looked like omelets for breakfast….shopping is always a good pastime…and when you buy something, you will always find a time and place somewhere some time…that you will be able to wear it…again…sometimes here…we have a moving company come in and just move everything…or you can take your time and take your time to pack up and put everything in a POD…a container that when you are ready, they will come and pick it up…
It's hard not to look back but you have a brave new future to look forward to. Thanks for the video. Best wishes and stay safe.

Sounds stupid, but bring her over here with you for shopping….she will not want to leave, except to go see family…but here in Florida…the morning was about 65 degrees…and of course…Fahrenheit…I haven’t been to our malls for quite some,time now…since most stores are huge…Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club and Costco…Costco has a jewelry case shaped like a large U…with some diamond rings and nice necklaces for a little over $6,000 ..and Costco just started selling not that long ago…1 ounce gold bars…at today’s market rate of $2300 per bar…and ..everything you need or believe you may need…they have..sometimes it is just fun and,relaxing to just walk around…and the food courts…WOW..Sam’s had for a long time…either huge hot dog and coke…or very large slice of pizza and a coke for…either $1.50 or $1.59…pretty much the same deal at Costco…and of course all the condiments…relish, catsup, mustard…mayo…and Sam’s used to have small cups of chopped onions..the chicken bake at Costco will make you get it the next time and the 5 berry sundae…yeah.!

I think that was a Kroger Plus Card. Svet should keep it, She may need it in the future.
7:00 So what happens to those piles of snow in the Spring? Do they just melt? Don't they cause flooding?
Yes, they just melt. It doesnt happen instantly, usually takes several weeks for a large pile to melt completely so there is not that much water and it just goes away to sewers.

Siberia is boring, Svetlana. You should move to Moscow or St Petersburg. Thats where all the action is - jobs and opportunities, lots of places to shop and eat, entertainment etc. Siberia iz boring. There is nothing there.
