The life of someone always being protected, the life of someone always being taken and toyed with by fate, regardless of what she wants or says, she always ends up not being enough, even when she tries, she’s always someone else’s motivation and vice versa, that chance to be useful has always passed her by, forced to train under someone unqualified and drafted into war off the bat, never given experience in battle, trauma, fear, regret, guilt, she wants the chance to prove herself, but never has it no matter how hard she’s worked.
Another amazing video! I really, really like this one. The light. Growing stronger. Protected by the light. Guided by it. And protecting others. That light leading us through the darkness. It's a powerful message.
She serves a purpose narratively if nothing else. She inspires and motivates others, especially Sora and Riku. I think what a lot of people mean when that say that is she is very useless in a fight and needs to be protected a lot as she is often easily overpowered... which is sadly kind of true if you look at how things play out in most of the games... and sadly even times when she is supposed to have big cool moments in combat in the series, it's often undercut a bit by others one upping her or her being overpowered a bit later because the plot needs that to happen... A lot of folks, myself included, were hoping she'd play a bigger role as an empowered combatant in KH3... but while there was a bit it was again undercut sadly ;.; But hey, KH4 is coming out eventually, and maybe Kairi will finally get to shine like she really deserves to :D I really like Kairi as a character too, so I really hope the devs don't do her dirty again in the next game. I really hope MOM isn't Kairi's big time to shine type of a thing in the dev's minds >.> Edit: fixed a typo

I am not fully aware of kingdom hearts lore but alot of players says that she serves no purpose
