Wow, that's one of my favourites. My grandmother used to prepare this payasam. It goes well with 'ragi' bread. The sweet payasam with the savoury bread, used to be superb.A heavy, tasty breakfast during the weekends. It makes one feel drowsy too. As there were no washing machines those days, and having a lot of washing to do, during weekends, a heavy breakfast like these keep us full till lunch was served. This video not only brough back fond memories, but it inspired me to make ragi bread and moong dhall payasam. Try ragi bread with the payasam. You and the three 'ponnu molls' will really enjoy it. Dont you need to add salt to it?
for jaggery payasam no need of salt. if we use sugar, a bit of salt is essential to balance the taste..
