Excellent performance WOW I work sideline with AIrcrafts radios here since 2004 sell used Aircraft radios Mobile used i Airports mobile vehicles and Panel mounted and such I convert to Carying case but this radios really impressed me !!
Excellent, yes it's a really nice versatile radio, I'm enjoying this receiver, airband activity is a bit sporadic up here, though we do have some military training through the lake district, thanks for getting in touch.

In response to the above post though, even though it may be a bit off frequency, you sound like you live across the pond so to speak, isn't the channel spacing 8.33khz and not 25khz over there for airband? Hello Brother. I am over the pond in the UK, the Malahit DSP2 is a lovely receiver, great filtering. It is most used RX I have, and I use it daily, I wanted something portable but also useable. The channel spacing is 8.33khz , you are correct.
@@RayGilchrist 25 khz is the step in North America, I got my DSP2 from Georgiy in Russia back in the autumn of 2021 before the Ukraine conflict, several firmware upgrades since then
Need an external Aciraft band antenna like I sell here from LAIRD model I got a eal BAGits a Magnetic car trunk or rooftop mount model TM 8 costs about $45.00 comes with some 15 ft Coax cable BNC termination the Mobil antenna comes separete but their web shows all they carry Ebay may sell tem too This magnetic moount has the adapter for the TAXIs type wire antenna screw in type chromed base anti rust chromed plated. Field tunable to 22 inches as this is the WAVE length of the VHF/AM Aircraft bands you can put in the roof of home apartment etc hangar car etc as long has metal to nagnet attache d to and is POWERFUL magnet OK?

Just a 2mtr Whip on VHF/UHF, nothing special but close enough.

Try setting your step to 25 kHz for Air Band , you are a bit off frequency
