What is the setup page for that has calibration tabs if there’s also a VQC page to do calibration? Why can’t they just make anything simple and make sense?!

That prob seems a lot smaller ball size than the stock one it comes with. Where did you get it and what settings did you change.

On the newer control it will automatically detect the ball size when you calibrate it, I believe on the older controls its one of the settings (I will check which one) - the probes are renishaw touch probes, you can get them right from renishaw or a 3rd party on the web. They have all different shapes and sizes.

@@KreminIncManufacturing I have a DT-1 and when I go to probe a bore the rang is 0.3-16. Even if I get a small probe I don’t think it will let me go any smaller then 0.3 unless there is a way to change the settings? Do you know anything about this?

@natecollins5275 what size hole are you trying to read and are you just looking to get the center? That parameter looks like it’s fixed in the probe and can’t be changed.

The guys have also used a pin in the hole and picked up the center with the boss function instead of the bore function, but that doesn't help if you are trying to check within cycle/production

5 tenths? That is way out for me. I get it to zero tenths.
I dial my end mills down to 2-3 tenths but I use a lot of small end mills.

How small of an endmill are you using?

The point of running the calibration cycle in the calibration ring is that it compensates for the ball being off. Anything under .001" is fine.
