We need to pray more and pray for conversions, that’s what this debate means for Catholics and basically the world.

USCCB voted to make the sanctity of life a preeminent issue of our time. No Catholic with an informed conscience can vote for Biden. Trump is backsliding on the prolife issue but the lesser of two evils.

In fairness, the position of the GOP was the overturning of Roe v Wade. It wasn't to implement a nationwide abortion ban. Unfortunately, given that pro-life groups have lost all 7 state referendums, including in Kansas, Kentucky, and Ohio, I think politically we can't implement a nationwide ban. We need to fight it out in the states for the next 50 years.

I will always be grateful to President Trump for his pro-life stance in his first term, but things have changed so drastically in our country and world in the past four years that I agree with him that the issue is now back to the states to decide, and it should stay that way for now. He's going to have bigger fish to fry like keeping us safe and out of world war! As a society we just aren't ready for everyone to agree that it is abhorrent to even think of killing a baby, and we need to continue to pray for that day to come.

Hello. Good interview. We are not obligated to share who we vote for at the voting booth. I will vote with an iformed vote for the candidate on my ballot who is best across the board including pro-life. I enjoyed the perspective from EPPC’s Francis X. Maier and Mount St. Mary Seminary’s Dr. Kenneth Craycra. Well said. Its good to hear it from someone else that neither candidate is pro-life. :)

I find it difficult to listen to honest discussion about the issues involved in this upcoming election as stated in this debate. Biden was so clearly impaired that it seems the issues at this point are moot. Biden made it clear that he is not fit for office currently, and definitely not for another 4 years.
I don't know who in the democratic party thought it was ok to send Biden into a debate such as this which he was clearly cognitively unable to manage. I just shake my head. Whatever I think about Biden, I actually found myself feeling badly for him. He is an old man with clear cognitive decline and he needs to be cared for at home. He shouldn't be anywhere near politics at this point.
As a non-American, I think you in the US need to be concerned about national security at this point. That debate was terrifying to watch; the leader of United States clearly cognitively impaired and at times, irrational. Pray for the safety of your country at this point, and for all of us who will reap the repercussions of any political event that may occur to, or may be directed towards, your country. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🇨🇦🇺🇸

Issues pertaining to the protection and safeguarding of the sanctity of human life are fundamental. If you're not alive the only thing you can do is vote democrat, and I must point out that that option leaves one rather wanting in their ability to properly practice their place as an active, responsible member of society

Without respect for the dignity of life there is no Republic or democracy....all rights come from God....without recognition of personhood from birth the rest of the rights do not matter. We must abolish Abortion as we did slavery.

Constitution Party is too conservative, and that's not a good thing. This debate showed that Catholics need to get off their couch and start changing things, like the voting system, forming new parties, changing neighborhoods, get more involved locally, and not just be content with only voting GOP and Dems, and then wiping our hands clean and saying "we're done!"

Trump reminds me a bit of King David. He has moral failings while still loving the people he leads. If a president is moving us toward a more pro life country, how is that not considered pro life? If we win the argument but lose elections then nothing will change.

As a Catholic, I am very disturbed by how radicalized the Democrat party has become, and while I will always remain pro-life, I feel like this issue cannot be first and foremost in our current situation, and I say that with great sadness. The open border has led to deaths in our country by heinous murders, drug overdoses, and human trafficking. This cannot stand and is every bit as serious as taking the life of an unborn child. I live only one hour from the border and our city has fallen into shambles when compared to four years ago. I am also deeply concerned by the current administration's attack on first amendment (and second amendment) rights and its silence when it comes to politically persecuting Christians - case in point - the 75-year-old woman who was recently sentenced to two years in prison for praying at an abortion clinic. We are seeing a great amount of Democrat leaders acting in radical ways and they are aligned with the same radical people running the White House. Therefore, Trump is the obvious lesser of the two evils, and in my opinion, the only chance we have at the moment to restore what this Biden administration has torn apart. Our country cannot continue on its current trajectory, and we owe it to our children to stand up for an America that they can enjoy in freedom and live out their faith as we have been able to.
