First hearing this, Holy shit this is great . The Dandy's cranked out some heavy stuff. I'm 70 yrs. old and it's never going to stop til the day I die and maybe some more after that.
In the Seventies, we would play rock music to vintage cartoons, like this one. My friend had a makeshift 6 seat "movie theater" in the basement, and a pretty decent sound system. So nice to see something like this by the Dandys. In a bit of nostalgia, I now play BJM tunes to vintage cartoons on some afternoons, much thanks to TH-cam! Nice work, DW! And thanks to Sean Gothman for posting!
Strange thing. After I listened to this, I saw a story on Sunday Morning tv about travel/exploration similar to what is in this video. This, of course, had been a common occurrence for years when working on freelance projects for University presses and academic journals. One of the reasons I quit working.
Was the song inspired by the rhythm in the cartoon or is the timing of the cartoon adjusted to mimic the rhythm in the song? Sometimes it seems to be a "coincidence" when a song seems to fit an unrelated video. I recall a party where the TV was on (Mary Poppins) with scene of chimney sweeps dancing on roof (sound turned off). Music playing Shot Gun (1960s version) and the rhythm was in perfect time with the dancing.
@@andyman2583 Still LOVE it!!! First time I saw "Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth" th-cam.com/video/APrpB-i4d_E/w-d-xo.html on MTV I instantly became a Dandy Warhols fan. :)
I love this kind of music! The Dandys are great! I would sign them to my label if they weren't already signed to Beat The World Records! Plus, I couldn't afford them. :-)

What a good Rock and Roll tune, and what a funny (and probably old) cartoon. Love it.

One of my favorite songs by a great 60s psychedelic sounding trippy band!
Going to the Toronto show on 4/21. Hope they play this.
OUTSTANDING cartoon choice. Well fucking done!
Been 2 years since I came and commented on one of my all time favorite songs. Now I can also click on Reactions and choose Incredible!
And now it's 8 years later! You still down like disco?
