Considering how frequently Anton released new Albums, playing most of the instruments, producing, engineering mixing, too. The continued quality of fantastic output is all the more incredible. The most underrated band ive ever heard. Outstanding.
LOVE this version. Love all versions of all BJM songs. I could listen to BJM's entire catalogue on repeat nonstop for the rest of my life and I would never get sick of it.
Andy Blue with all the vinyl pressings and promotions of a f*n lot talented musicians and troupe BJM is top shelf. Considering the competition (All Them Witches, Useless Eaters, Spiritualized, )(T Segall C Moonheart M Cronin) (Meatbodies, Fuzz, Emotional Mugger The OhSees, Charlie's House of Citrus and Slime, Car Seat Headrest ) (The B J Massacre A. Newcombe's) latest to date releases, guessing resist must obey X 4 my favs.
Is this a live version or something? The other recording doesn't have the female singer in it, just Anton. Also the guitar in this sounds heavier, more gain than the other version.
Holy moly, this version is so good. Wisdom on Methadrone is great, but Wisdom on Strung out in Heaven is absolutely phenomenal. Anton Newcombe is louder and bassier in this version, and Miranda Lee Richards sings some lovely verses. The drums seem to emphasize a bit slower, heavier beat. The mixing is a bit darker and crunchier. I love both versions, but this one from Strung out in Heaven is a real treat to experience. Thank you, BJM, and much love to everyone.

my husband and my first dance song at our fail of a wedding. it was the only song that was played we felt like dancing together to, fitting because he played stars over the phone to me the night we met (through a mutual friend over the phone)
i mean, they have a dedicated fan base that has been listening to them for decades... better than being a chart topper who gets forgotten as soon as the next hit comes along
Wow ! , where the fuck have I been ?? Thought I heard most great bands Then these guys appear ?? I’m speechless and dam well annoyed I didn’t hear the guys years ago . Anyway here’s to lost time ! Full credit to BJM , amazing music !
From what album is this version from? I've just bought Tepid Peppermint Wonderland at Amazon and the version of Wisdom in that album is slightly different, there are no female back vocals for instance.
@antonfjordson Oops - sorry. I looked at Wiki's discography for BJM and they had Spacegirl and Other Favorites listed as 1995 (in regular section its listed as 1993) so I used that year but I should have at other sections (like Lineups, Singles, etc). Thanks for keeping me honest!
Glen B This is very good , I used to play the odd Beatels record and my Mother would shout out that's *Mozarts' 23 in A# minor , I can hear Brian Jones Paul Macartney and John Lennan at times throughout this library of hits , So it goes ~ music composition is a compost heap *not in fact
@antonfjordson Hey anton, I was just wondering when you guys were going on tour again. Come to Milwaukee. I checked the committee to keep music evil website and theres no tour dates on there. I need another BJM concert. Do me and everyone in Milwaukee a favor and come back, my man

Honestly, it's impossible for me to pick favorite BJM albums or songs. There are just too many favorites!

Something rather special about Antons music that feels so genuine in this world full of disposable auto-tuned contrived music.

I survived a horrific car wreck, while listening to this one, a week ago.

Well said- or quoted: who's singing the female vocals?
Tess Parks
This version was recorded when Tess Parks was a five or six years old. This is from Strung Out in Heaven(1998).
mankuro Miranda Lee Richards... :D
i love the creepiness to these vids with vintage/old footage. i always wonder who is still alive.

One of those baffling stories of bands that should be at the top of the pyramid.
Baffling isn't even the world. In a Parallel universe bands like this are probably on top

This chord progression reminds me of something I've heard before, slowed down by like 50%. It'll come to me when I least expect it.

Is it possible for a song to be to be so good? I'm not too sure now ;-)
The chords for this song are a bit like those for "with or without you".
The Chords are "Why didn't I think of That?" Quality.. Ask Genesis P Orridge, he will set you straight!
