Glad you appreciate it. I tried to show my best friends/band mates to show them how I feel mentally and have voices and shadows in my head. They didn’t get it. I’m currently in out patient at a mental hospital and all of my friends abandoned me. It’s nice to see people understand. It helps even if I cry every single time.

Ren is multitalented with his music, if you want rap (illest of our time, Sick Boi) and you want singing (chalk outlines) if you want insane storytelling (the Jenny, Screech, Violets Tales). Definitely check out more Ren.
Listen to hunger and ocean. He has so much talent. I don't know of anyone like him. It will take you thru a rabbit hole. But you can not help but respect the artist. He is in Canada seeking medical attention for his mental health but also has Lyme disease. I ❤ Ren. Prayers for his health and recovery. Too much talent to see in his future.

Sleep Token is the only multi-genre artist I need, it's honestly hard for me to sit through Hi Ren, arguably Ren's best song. Everything else felt a tad cornier than Dax to me. I just can't get into the guy, even though I appreciate the artistry behind Hi Ren.
Give Sleep Token a try if you haven't already, if you really want to listen to something that can't be described by or bound to a single genre.
I have watched 1000 reaction videos to Hi Ren...and every one of them moved me..however I hadnt watched a reaction on a while and when you stopped when he said.."im the voice you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope"..
It got me...not alot of reaction videos capture what I think it's the most emotion provoking lines in the song....and when you gave your thoughts on that.. I cried. I needed to hear someone say what you said out loud. Thank you .

BTW, I can relate highly to Ren, I didn't have my battles for the same reason, I was born with my psychosis, I battled it all my life, without drugs or therapy, and my heart goes out to Ren, but this song, it gives me hope and touches me deep inside, this is art, but it's also Ren emotionally and psychologically naked for all to see, it's beautiful and he is using his great talents to give the lessons he has learned as a student of psychological warfare to others still fighting it, only now as a teacher.
I just turned 50 a week ago, and as much as I've struggled and learned, he has taught me another lesson, to voice it, to not be afraid to expose that to others, and I have, and it's like a weight lifted off my shoulders, that I can tell others now about that internal struggle.
This is more than just music, it's art, and more than just art, it is life as some of us know it, and we are human beings.
You should check out sick boi which follows Hi Ren, is much shorter but still has a deep message (all his music does in some way). The guy is a genius, he can sing, rap, play guitar, act, the list goes on...

As a long time fan of Ren, I'm glad to see him getting world wide recognisation, he also does alot of rock covers with his band. And he also had a bit of a war with CNN recently, but I'd say he won the war. Check out his remix of Bittersweets Symphony. As an American, you might not get it, but it's a great song.
Thank you for acknowledging the noose line. That was one of the STRONGEST lines in the song and most people tend to gloss over it somehow. No shade to the other reactors, they just didn’t hear it the same way I did which is ok.
He was diagnosed with lime disease shortly after he was signed to Sony and his career was on the rise. I suggest checking out Blind eyed and the hunger they really show his rap skills along with those that have already been mentioned in the comments

Kudos to AndaraBledin who put together this synopsis about Ren's history that I saw on another video.
"He developed Lyme disease as a teen, was mis-diagnosed for 7-8 years and given treatments and medications that did more harm than good. He got a proper diagnosis after traveling to Brussels and seeing a specialist. He was discovered while with the band TrickTheFox and signed by Sony. But when he got too sick to perform, they dropped him. He resigned himself to dying before 30 and started vlogging in the hopes that he could help someone else get a proper diagnosis and not suffer the way he had. Those vlogs led to him being offered stem cell treatment in Washington state provided he could swing the travel. He raised the funds and the treatment went great and not only saved his life, but allowed him to go back to performing. He turned 33 this past March 29.
He's currently in Canada and might be there for a year or more, receiving further treatment. The Lyme disease led to autoimmune disorders, damage to his joints and organs and brain. "
