The best way to avoid being scammed is when anybody rings you from a number you don't recognize let them introduce themselves, and then tell them to eff off. I've been doing this for years and so far, I've never been scammed.
Bravo, WORLDCYBERTEAM. I’m so glad you’re out there fighting these scumbags. We must do everything in our power to protect the elderly and the general public from these despicable scammers. You’re a true hero, ✊
Spoofing or ghosting ? If one calls back to the fraud line by dialing the number one by one and not press call back button using the same mobile phone, you should be able to connect to the authentic fraud team.
Brits always get their money back on these types of things. In America if you do something like this they consider it stupidity and you'll lose everything
My attitude is to ignore such alarm since it’s the banks job to protect money entrusted to them. That means, no moving money to a ‘safe account’ - this one always amazes me that people do this. If the bank believes there’s fraudulent action on your account they will just lock the account and they will write to you. This happened to me when I wrote a large cheque - the bank wouldn’t cash the cheque giving the excuse that my signature didn’t match their records. The wrote to me with a copy of the cheque - there was nothing wrong with the signature, it was just a security measure they use.
Funny how every two years Adam has some reason to be interviewed by GMB or Loose Women despite a career that ended 20 years ago and never amounted to much to begin with
I still like him and he still comes across as a lovely, sensitive and caring guy..He's still that 22 year old from 1999..❤ I breathe again 🍾🐣🐥🐤. Happy Easter 🎉 2024 Show Biz Connections
You’re Wong there, sometimes people are foolish, but trust me, anyone can get scammed. These scams are getting more sophisticated and with the advent of AI, it’s only going to get worse.
If Barclays had enough operators to answer the phone instead of putting people in long queues he would have been able to find out it was fake.
It's easy dont give details. Its fools who get scammed
Ghosting numbers should be outlawed on all communication /mobile networks.
Always some idiot stating the obvious
Always have 2 phones while talking to scammers you can be calling bank with other phone
For the scammers to know so much details about an account smacks of an inside job.
Google sells data to companies
You'd be amazed how much of your data is sold on.
Interesting point

Scammed out of 2 grand before I was pretty pissed of but learnt my lesson
Do you still have the receipts of all the payments you made to the scammers and the account that was used to receive the funds?

If the scammers already have all their info, why do they even need to call the people...why don't they just withdraw their money?

Just hang the phone up and contact your bank yourself

What an idiot, he should have verified with his actual bank! Still, fraudsters should lose their lying tongues.
He tried to but they keep you waiting in a queue for ages when you try to phone them.
Happen to fools only
