I never thought I’d be so into crossword content, but watching NL utilize his trivia knowledge, vocabulary, and wit to destroy crosswords is so satisfying.
I’m still not into crosswords in general but NL’s pogtent just elevates it
It's similar to how Cracking The Cryptic attained popularity with sudoku content.
Now he's just gotta figure the difference between down and across.
I love focusing on a word that NL doesn't easily get and lording it over him, pretending like I'm anywhere near his level 😆

I swear to god this man changed my life. I used to think only my grandma was into crosswords, when we played together it made her so happy. This makes me think of her, but also i now understand why my grandma likes these so much
me watching as NL completes the crossword in 12 minutes that I completed in 51 minutes and calling it a gimme
It makes me laugh every time he says something like "I am literally the smartest person who has ever been on this platform", because it's balanced out by how often he says something like "I'm actually just stupid."
It's something I have to tell people at work. Don't take it personally when I call you dumb, because I'll probably call myself an idiot 10x more

Same here. I think it's because it fascinates me how easily he'll get more obscure words and then the easiest ones have him like triple-guessing himself.
@@LeeDee5 I do the same thing and for me I just think, “it can’t be that easy/simple” and it usually is that easy or simple.

This and chess have been the poggiest content for me. Got me into doing both on my own as part of my morning routine

Agreed. So fun watching NL breeze through parts I really struggled with while also getting stuck on hints I got right away. It's very fun to compare.

@@alecp6265 yep. "puns of the year" was the first crosswords puzzle i've solved in at least 10 years, and the first english one i've ever attempted. took me a full hour of staring at it but i goddamn did it.

Its absolutely crazy that I am starting to enjoy NL's Crosswords so much. Give it enough time and NL might just be known for Crosswords over Isaac.
I like how it took me 1 hour and 25 minutes to complete the first crossword, and this Egg smashed it in 12 minutes. Granted English isn't my first language and all, but it's still wild.

Loving the crossword arc! I do like it when NL has the answer check turned off. With it on we don't get to see the fun reasoning behind potential answers!
I already do a crossword every day and watch NL every day, so this content is pog for me. I like watching this on YT instead of live so I can pause and do the puzzle first and then watch NL solve it. Yes, I make it into a little game/competition. It is about as interactive as this content can become. NL has a knack for crosswords.
I can never do what NL does but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t screaming Siri at my phone

9:41 I think the fact ochre is spelt ochre, spring term is the supposedly the last part of the school year, the Fall Guys one is Fall not Autumn probably tells us this is not European in any way, as have none of the other crosswords, which have all felt violently North American
Love watching these. One of my old bosses loved crosses words, and always tried to encourage me. Unfortunately I don't know much crossword stuff. But watching NL and the crosswords are very enjoyable. Definitely massages my brain a certain way I'm not used to.
i love watching him get out of a crossword rut. like it's satisfying as a software developer. he's basically problem-solving but with words and trivial knowledge, lol.
i haven't watched in a minute but man, this content has me hooked in. now i'm doing the crossword puzzles.

You don’t have to hit reveal letter after swapping to regular mode. Showing mistakes is intrinsic to regular mode. Hitting reveal letter is the computer showing you the selected letter in this case is was the R in fire.
