1000% I put a guy out of my house because he wanted to argue with me because I was a tithing they way I was. He said I was contributing to the pastor Cadillacs. And I told him God knows my heart. My intentions are obedience to God's instructions. What the church does that's between them and God.

I saw what tithing does. I witnessed my mom tithing and she had 4 girls to feed!!!!! Yet we fed anyone that was present are asked. I never saw a hungry day nor walked into a dark house. Our telephone was never turned off and we had insurance. My God provided!!!

💯 Tithing is an absolute. You always give thanks to God first . You can tith is so many different ways . In a relationship you and your spouse need to be on same page . You pray together , you build together ,you grow together and you give thanks to God by tithing together . When you sow good seeds you will reap what you sow.

When I was introduced to this scripture right here my eyes 👀 got enlightened. 2Corinthians 8:12-15 check it out.
Out of all the years I had attended church. I had never heard a pastor talk on this scripture. Until I was visiting my cousin church online during Covid. We have just grown up with give until it hurts. Your granny ain’t paid her bills cause she giving to it hurts. Instead according to what she has. Not according to what she does not have. Now if you got it like that why not. I definitely believe in giving it’s just more than one way to do it. It’s right there in the book. I’m reading Unholy right now by Sarah Posner very good read. I can go on but I’ll stop right there🤭

Yes, I believed at one time for years we were to pay tithes. And that I did. But now, after much studying I’ve learned tithing was in the OT times, and it was never funds. We are to give an offering. And trust God. With tithing you were made to give 10 per cent , with an offering, God says give with a cheerful heart ♥️, I find myself trusting God and giving more than my tithes. People are just now learning the different. It’s tough, after all these years you been learning to pay tithes, now you learn that was in the OT times, you don’t pay tithes you give an offering.

In the Old Testament the tithe was to the Levite who was an assistant to the Priest. He would take it to the pantry and distribute it as needed to the poor. Today, we bring monetary tithes. We can not give a person 5lbs of potatoes to pay their light bill. If you don’t want to give just say it.

I grew up in the church and we were required to tithe. However, as an adult I absolutely do not tithe to the church. Hear me out… if I am required to tithe 10% of my earnings, right. SO, if I happen to fall on hard times, am I able to go back to the church and speak to the pastor and get a loan, without judgement and my business being spoken upon??? I absolutely do not think so!! I live in GA and with all of these Mega churches you’re lucky to walk past the Pastor let alone have a one on one meeting. I have my relationship with my Father (GOD) and even he knows the church is a business. Agree or disagree, this is my opinion and if I see anything different maybe I would change my mind. But for now, I stand in it and will not waver. Also, because one tithes doesn’t mean that person is good, that just means that they give to the church…. Covered, Favored and BLESSED…

I see your perspective of your opinion, however tithing is a principle and discipline. A way of honoring God and trusting Him. He is worthy of it all tbh however He only ask us for 10%. Tithing is a spiritual principle that it seems like a lot if believers struggle with. I have tithed ever since i first got a job and i can honestly say the faithfulness and favor of God is unmatched. He has made ways out of no ways and continue to do it time after time. If you try Him you WILL know Him, He will blow your mind.
      I am a witness.
To your other point the church is a business, it has bills to pay just like in your home, no difference. I also believe that you should be able to go to the church when in need and have needs met. Im from LA i attend a smaller more intimate church and we truly help out our members. Its unfortunate that some people have mishandled their position but God will never do mishandle you. He is very faithful🙏🏾
All love just my take on it❤

@@nakiawilliams7557 Good morning, I totally understand the principle behind tithing as well as what it is for. I never said I didn’t give, what I said was I am not giving 10%. However, I don’t need man to tell me to give him 10% and then my relationship with GOD is going to be better or that I need to honor GOD. My praise goes to God and our relationship is wonderful. As I stated, I am beyond blessed and favored. He is indeed faithful as I am to him. I hope you have a wonderful day!

    • @elless6535

There is no tithe in present day. The tithe was under Israel and, according to God and His word, had to be of the land of Israel only. Unfortunately, we may believe we get something from God because we gave money to "the church", but there are people we all know who've gotten positions or jobs or whatever who never 'tithe' in life, some who don't believe in God.
God isn't like this anywhere in His Word when it comes to money, but in the church we're taught He's all over a tithe.
      Offering.
      Not for anything from Him.
      Offering.
With a cheerful heart to those same ones Jesus was so concerned for. How do we take our eyes off Jesus?

I agree that churches should be a place to find resources, just not a place to distribute those said resources personally, because of its sole purpose. I also agree that they have bills to pay and a lot of the time they distribute the collected money in order to help those in need. I'm here in this section because I too have just started tithing and things are happening. It's like when I spend a certain amount, within hours someone is giving me the same amount back. This happened a couple of seasons back and I didn't know why! I only tithed when I had the motivation AND finances. The difference this time is that I intentionally tithed and held on to God's word that night after church, it's been a shift since. Give Him a try. I have reason to believe that when you trust him with 10% of his 100% that he'll bless your 90%. Just a theory

Yes, the tithe was of the land of Israel [only] and was meant to take care of those without.
And, yes, it's supposed to be the same today. But many churches spend 90% or more on salaries and building upkeep. I doubt 10% goes to the needy of the church or outside of it. That's far from God's intent.

Tithing was for the Levitical Priest to pray for your protection, your sins..Do we have any Levitical Priest running around here today? No! Reason being, The Most High got tired of them acting like these pastor today, their misuse of the money and not doing what they were suppose to be doing, so He sent His son YAHUSHA(jesus, as ya'll call him). Now we have the BLOOD BOUGHT RIGHT TO GO BOLDLY TO THE THRONE OURSELVES AND ASK FOR WHATEVER WE NEED, WANT, REPENTANCE...

  • @elless6535
    @elless6535 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Tithing never had anything to do with money or church. Jesus rebuked tithing, as false teachers would use this same lie to convince people to give up their money for them. Pastors today actually use that verse, out of context, to convince people God wants us to tithe. Mark 12:43-44. You've heard that before, right? Taught like it was a good thing? But practically nobody reads the text above. Practically no church pastor, anyway. Start at verse 38. Jesus is showing his disciples the awful way the false teachers play on the name of God. This is a widow losing her home because she thought this was what God wanted!
We're brainwashed to believe only one portion of the 'story', as if it sounds like anything God would ask. Was Jesus ever like this with the poor, weak, struggling, or even the rich? Where has a command, even a whisper of one, ever been spoken that we're called to tithe? We're called to honor and respect God and to honor and respect each other. Give an offering. Hopefully the church would actually use it for people in need, or you could simply use your offering to be of help to others. It's your money though. Do what you want. Just know God doesn't need it and we don't prove anything to him by paying the church building's gas and electric.
