    I have the automatic Dolce Vita. This watch makes a truly subtle, sophisticated, understated, and timeless dress watch. recently wore this for a formal occasion- and I cannot get over how much I loved wearing this watch. It fit perfectly under my cuff and provided that clean elegant look the occasion required. This is a beautiful watch- even more so in person.

    Longings is such a historic brand and needs to be fully understood by the newbie watch Rolex fanboys. Rolex is a marketing brand since it’s beginning in England. Please just know the history of the brands and then make an informed decision.

    Hi Norman, first of all I really like your videos. They’re very informative and of perfect length without unnecessary toss. I’m trying to decide between Dolce Vita and Hamilton Boulton and I have one question as you have the same wrist size as myself. What is the reason for the change of strap of your DV? Was the color not to your liking or maybe the stock strap is too short for the 7inch wrist? Thanks in advance.

    • @KillingTimeWithNorman
      @KillingTimeWithNorman  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The color was the main thing, if I remember correctly, it fit me on the second to the largest hole position, so it was pretty short. You may want to have a strap lined up.
      Thank you for your kind feedback! 🍸🍸

    Ma786sai Dua great review. I’m considering buying the current automatic 47mm x 28mm Dolce Vita. Would you say it’s a great rectangular Tank piece? How come the website keeps mentioning women will love it? Isn’t it a gents piece at 47mm?

    • @KillingTimeWithNorman

      It's a brilliant watch! Companies are weird... Rolex is now selling their 36mm Explorer as a 'ladies' watch lol
      So I ignore all that :)

    Hi Norman. Sub-seconds, no date...an excellent choice for this type of watch.

  • @MirrlyonTime

    Congrats on the 1k subs and getting g this beauty to celebrate. I’m convinced to try a tank watch for myself because of your reviews, I have a Seiko on my Amazon wish list and a Bulova which looks quite diff and unique with a black dial, but the Seiko has a white dial very classic look. Still not sure with my large wrist if it will suit me, but I figure I can resell the Seiko if need be. I love the look and design on this one, but it is small lol, so I still wonder about this look on my wrist. Great vid as always and congrats again friend, talkin soon!

    • @KillingTimeWithNorman
      @KillingTimeWithNorman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some of the Seiko tanks have HUGE lug widths, so watch out for that. I would try an affordable one - if you like it, a larger Dolcevita might be right up your alley!

    Great pick up Norman, it looks just like Max on Watch Crunch's old Dolce Vita!! I don't like date windows either and was also considering picking up a Dolce Vita because of the beautiful guilloche dial (which you won't get on a Cartier Tank Americaine for under $4K) but I was lucky enough to find a used AOSC certified Bedat & Co. No.7 with a similar no date guilloche dial, blued Breguet-style hands, 25.5mm x 41.5mm case size, 8mm thick with 19mm lugs that checked all the boxes!! Truly an underappreciated Swiss brand that's been flying under the radar and looks great on my 7.25" wrist!!

    Did the stock strap fit your 7 inch wrist size since it is women's watch? I wonder where you get the 17mm black alligator strap from.

    • @KillingTimeWithNorman
      @KillingTimeWithNorman  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It barely did, think I was at the second hole in, I think.
      I put it on an ostrich strap I found on Etsy, listed by a Vietnamese shop. The few Vietnamese straps I've purchased have been some of the best straps I've owned.
      I now have it on another Etsy find, from a French brand. C'est vraiment incroyable !

      I remember criticizing Norman for selling the Automatic back then....glad he replaced it. As much as i like the Longines, I must say thers something too Tacky about it. Never thought about it before but perhaps if it was Brushed...even partially it would help. I'm still hunting for a square watch but haven't decided.

    • @KillingTimeWithNorman
      @KillingTimeWithNorman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it is. I would definitely class it as unisex. I feel like it's sized perfectly for a tank, although giving people larger options also is good. - Just like Cartier and JLC do with their tanks.

      @@KillingTimeWithNorman I was looking at buying one, all the smaller ones (Quartz) are classed as ladies and the automatics are men's , but it seems it is more to do with the size as they all look the same. As I have smaller wrists the Quartz would be best as with yourself

    • @KillingTimeWithNorman
      @KillingTimeWithNorman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I kept seeing the 'ladies' quartz ones. So when I got the chance to see one in person, I tried it on, and yeah, perfect size for me and my preferences. So I bought one shortly after that. I wear this waay more than I ever wore the larger one I used to own.

      @@KillingTimeWithNorman Longines have a habit of mistakes like that. When they came with the new remake of super-compressor. They made it in 36mm and 43mm. The spirit came in a size 39mm but had water resistance to only 30Meter. Beautiful wathes but thesse stupid small, but for customer vital error. It is tabu to make a watch with 17mm bandlugs. No thanks Longines you did it again.
