Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! For 15 years I have tried to figure this pattern out. I hear parts of it. Finally you found the parts and pattern that were missing. I am obsessed with this song.
Really appreciate ya takin the time for this. Amazing how something that sounds so simple, is yet so intricate. Really feel like i can play it the way its meant to be played thanks to you!
you're welcome! That's what I'm striving for with my channel. Not just a rough chord chart, but a really accurate description of what all these great artists are actually doing. Spent a stupid amount of time learning songs by ear, so wanted to share these man hours with the world!
I’m completely in love with this song! You’re an excellent teacher, and hilarious. You really broke it down into super easily digestible parts. Thank you! I’ve subscribed and I should patreon too.
It's a great song. And aww...thanks so much! I'm glad the video was helpful and illuminating. Yes, if I can get the value for value model working I'll be able to drop some other employment and really bring some fun finger pickin' break downs to youtube! If you cant donate now just like, share, and enjoy!
MANY many thanks THANKS ! Wanting this since way back to when ..I’ve forgotten ! But I will get this , at long last...Enjoy yr way of sharing teaching etc..your enthusiasm so genuine spreads my friend...
thanks for the lovely comment and encouragement. Glad you're learning from the channel! God bless you and lmk if there's any other songs I can help with.
This tutorial is so well explained that I can basically play it immediately! Just need to practice and tighten it up now. Great video - Much appreciated.
Thank you! This has been one of my favorite songs since the first time I heard it. You are the only teacher I've seen that actually figured out and explained the Bob Dylan version. It's beautiful - unique. I had to subscribe for this alone. Good job, well done!
Thanks! Glad you noticed the work that went into it. I started the channel because I've been amazed at the lack of accurate tutorials on, especially, fingerpicked tunes. I thought, hey. I've geeked out on learning songs by ear for yeeeears. This is my wheel house! Please sub, like, and consider monthly support to the channel no matter how small. I'd love to give this kind of thoughtful treatment to 1000s of other songs! Speaking of...what next!?
Glad it helped! That's the MMM goal. Accurate tabs, don't dumb them down, but make them light and digestible. Sub, like and dive in. I've hit over 200 tutorials now.
Thanks, Raphi, and you're welcome. Please sub and like and consider becoming a PayPal Picker! A buck a month. It gets you nothing extra but a good feeling about spreading a picking education. www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=DDSNNKQVTWWS6
you're welcome. Love this song. I have a few other Open tunings on the channel. Colorado Girl, Doc Watson, Dylan's I was young when i left home...some others I cant think of right now. ha
Thanks Te Gusta! I appreciate it. Lmk what songs I can help you with next and if you continue getting value from the channel consider giving some back with monthly support. Be well1

Duder. I just checked out your channel, you're amazing too. Piano on Peace of Mind is lovely. We should write a song together! Sing some harmonies. What do you think!?
Great tutorial as always Mike! Is there any chance, you may dig into the version as on the freewheelin album as as a Corinna level II ? There is a great cover of it by JonnDalton on youtube. :-)
@@MikesMusicMethod Thank‘s for dour reply! You are right, it is the freewheeling version. I guess I just mean incorporating/mimicking the other guitars more that are playing the higher notes along Dylan. Like in this cover: th-cam.com/video/28bYr6ozW3Q/w-d-xo.html When you listen to the freewheelin version there are a lot more high notes played along the baseline I think. There is also another 4 part tutorial to the freewheelin version but it doesn‘t explain it well. Maybe it is also just my ears and there isn‘t even a difference between your version and the one played in the cover above?
Your tuner lost it's F#! haha. At 45 seconds I play all the pitches. Not sure of your skill level or theory knowledge. But Gb is the same note as F#. Is your tuner showing Gb? If so tune to that. If you're still confused jump on the weekly Thursday zoom meeting and i can trouble shoot ya in real time!
Best tutorial on the web for this song and one I've wanted to learn for about 30 years...Thank you Mike :)
Let’s not forget the sheer genius of Bob Dylan who made this guitar accompaniment to the song.
Great tutorial, thanks and Merry Christmas.
Welcome. And thank u. Merry Christmas!

Simon, not sure what you mean. This is the version off of Freewheelin! Is there some outtake or something you're referring to?

so much fun 🥰🥰🥰
yes, great one to play.
Thank you for beening nice to my name corrina ❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗my partner hates my name i hated it so long thank you i love my name again🤗🤗🤗
It's a gorgeous name! Look up other versions. corinna corinna is a very popular old folk/blues tune.
Hmmm
For some reason regular open D tuning with he capo on 4 doesn’t sound like this on my guitar like I think my tuner is missing F# or doesn’t show it.
Your tuner lost it's F#! haha. At 45 seconds I play all the pitches. Not sure of your skill level or theory knowledge. But Gb is the same note as F#. Is your tuner showing Gb? If so tune to that.
