    Excellent
You can’t beat the old books and it’s stroll down memory lane…I didn’t have much in way of books as a child. But I remember loving Enid blyton at primary school and history books, especially one the mummies in Egypt (I mustve caught my dads interests)
I was 17/18 when I caught the reading bug and I soon filled my wall cupboard- enjoying a quiet corner and comfy chair. I was strongly into bird watching and learning about the species so I got a number of books, including lovely stories on nature- remember the surname Boag- who was quite prominent in bird watching and nature related subjects.i joined a ramblers club,a naturalists club and the rspb and subscribed to a few magazines too. This was my enjoyment in my teens and twenties- panning out a bit due to hospital shift work,I never lost my appetite for reading until the last few years,it became a physical struggle. I am trying to look into audiobooks etc currently. Xx

@@uglenddalejones2 I went to see Tutankhamen in the seventies in London along with the jade man, I still have the evening standard newspaper from that time.I used to love audio books depending on the narrator.I did not know you nursed.xxx🐝🐝🐝

@@joyofthings oh now,I do love to hear about it… I believe Tutankhamen came through London last year for the final time- gutted I couldn’t go,I’ve always wanted to. But yes,I think he was nearing his last journey through the world and going back to Egypt- back home permanently I believe. So,it was quite significant…a last chance. My dad was fascinated with tut as well- coincidentally,he was born the year the tomb was discovered- how about that…
Yes,I did 25 yrs. absolutely loved it and gave my all. An arrest on the floor, did my back and I never recovered. Tried everything including seven months in the hospital physio pool, machines, acupuncture, spinal injections it just wouldn’t give me enough improvement to go back to nursing so they retired me and I was fortunate enough to go back on my bank contract but not nursing- sadly proved too much being on my feet- just too much pain and spasms. Defeated me which is very ironic as 18yrs was in stroke and neuro rehab slash medical.this is eleven years ago now xxx

I think I’ve said it before, but I really do love these glimpses into your day - I really felt as though I was with you, popping out into the garden! What a flower! Gorgeous. The Paper Dolls story is one of my absolute favourite children’s stories - and how lovely to find Wind in the Willows illustrated by John Burningham! I remember when you went to that exhibition.

That red flower is quite beautiful and vibrant.
I always wanted a hedgehog as a kid.
I wish more people were into the unions where I'm from, people being against them is odd.
I think my hair may get stuck on the charms of those hair bands.
Chronicles of Narnia are great books.
Do you think she would like the BFG? I enjoyed Roald Dahl growing up, my mom probably got all his books at a yard sale or something. 😂
Mouse and the mushroom as quite nice.
