I love this new format! You are talking enough, not too much not too less. I hate when car reviewers can't shut up and can't hear the engine but you are doing the talking part well. Keep it up guys
Love these POV videos. It's like we're right in the driver's seat doing a test drive. I agree with the others, it's nice to hear your impressions as you're driving.
People hate on Honda's too much. I've driven a ton of car and the Honda Civic is one of my favorite. It's a really solid car for the price and they are enjoyable to drive.
They hate it because people that drive behind one they have to wait for the slow civic to accelerate lol now with the 2016 model with turbo they will get mad because they will get smoked by one
I recently purchased a new 2016 Honda Civic Touring and I absolutely love it. As a previous owner of a 2003 Civic EX, a 2009 Civic EX, and now this one, I have to say that this is by far the best car I have ever driven hands down. Civics have definitely come a long way over the years. It amazes me how a tiny 1.5L Turbo engine can have so much power when need it, yet be so efficient when driven conservatively. I highly recommend this vehicle! My favorite feature is the Adaptive Cruise Control. It's great in moderate traffic, just set it and forget it and the car nearly drives itself! Of course it can be a bit jerky with the brakes at time but other than that, it makes long drives a lot more relaxing.
The included Garmin navigation is really nice, however I prefer using Google Maps connected to my phone with Android Auto. Nearly 10K miles and never had any issue with Nav or Speakers. Sound is excellent. I wish the subwoofer was a tad bit stronger, but it sounds great either way.
Get ready to take over the car reviewing game my man. Great talking points and telling it like it is. It's refreshing to listen to someone who isn't obsessed with hearing themselves talk. Great Job!
really like how you're giving your opinion on the car in the video too now! i've always liked these POV videos you guys make, but wished they included your opinion too. this is a dream come true!
I think you talking is what I needed to finally subscribe, your channel was always go to when I was interested in learning more about a vehicle. Adding the review/talking for me at least makes it pretty viable content to watch when something new comes out. Glad to see the new generation civic is looking to be amazing. I have an 8th gen Si but maybe in the future this would make for the better daily driver.
Yea I almost didn't click on this because, I was thinking "oh, he doesn't talk in his vids" and pretty much don't watch any of them anymore...so when I heard you talk, i was pleasantly surprised....keep it up!
What's nice is that max torque comes in so early...at 1800 RPM, that's what produces such great fuel economy. Revs kill the MPG so high torque at low RPM is key.
I test drove the EX-T version and what I like about the new engine is that you don't have to rev the crap out of it to get the car going. I found the steering very tight and responsive, and I thought my 2002 Civic EX was responsive. This is a whole new level up. I normally have a dislike for CVT's but I actually liked how the CVT behaves in this car. I get roughly 34-36 mpg out of my current car and I expect no change whenever I get the new version, provided that I keep my foot OUT of it!!! :)
+Yong Kim Well there is a video online comparing the Mazda 3 2016 with the Honda Civic 2016, and other than the fact that the Mazda 3 feels sportier, the Honda is more refined with more Tech included and a better CVT compared to the Automatic Transmission in the Mazda 3, but some reviewers say that the Civic Coupe 2016 is even better than the 4 door counterpart and feels way more sportier than the Mazda 3.
I wanted to ask if you was able to do any snowy or icy driving with the Civic Touring. I live in Northern AZ and snow does happen and wonder if the wide, low stance hurts traction in slick conditions. Otherwise, love my Civic.

Yusss, been waiting for this. I wish Honda would put this motor in a CRZ or something. 6-speed manual and that engine would be fantastic. Or maybe in a Fit, call it a Fit Si. Do it Honda.
I read the comments and see that everybody is not used to you ACTUALLY talking. My first thought was well.... ummm. did I play the wrong video? after watching another channel doing the civic.
Great video. Looking at maybe getting the '17 Civic. Hearing rumors they are coming out with a hatchback version of the Civic this year and could be an amazing combo with that engine and apple carplay. Hoping the Hatchback has Magic Seats, I was looking at getting a Fit but the lower HP and body style had me looking elsewhere.
The cvt in my civic touring is horrible. its jerky, shudders at low speed and when you need some power the thing jerks and barley bring the revs to where you want them. also when put into drive the rpms surge up and then with a jerk drop down Honda says my car is operating normal... pay close attention during a test drive if your looking to buy.
Hi. I would like to get your opinion between this new honda civic and the 2016 mazda cx3 you also drove recently which you have highly recom also. I know they are 2 diff class of vehicles but my concern is mainly to have an entry level car which has sporty performance when it comes to handling and acceleration. I love the cx3 so much bec it has a conventional 6 speed auto whereas this civic has a CVT which I was never a fan. Although civic is known for their performance, also this is obviously more powerful esp the turbo engine with higher torque in the low rev range. Appreciate your suggestion since you have tried the car both. More power to your channel!
I can't speak for WR TV in any sense, but your post caught my eye since those exact two vehicles are what I narrowed my choices to. I ended up with the Civic Touring but can understand getting the CX-3 GT. The Civic definitely accelerates faster, 0-60 ranges from 6.6 to 7.2, where the CX-3 is around 8 to 8.5. Both cars handle great, though the Mazda has slightly superior steering just due to the more weighted feel, but the Civic is definitely still good. The CVT in the Civic works more than well enough to where you don't care it's a CVT. Like this video shows, it keeps the engine in the nice fat torque curve. That said, I did love the 6 speed in the CX-3. I would say, your choice may come down to what is more important....rear leg room and rear storage vs having AWD. The Civic can carry 4 adults and cargo easily, where the CX-3 is cramped in the back for both people and stuff. AWD, obviously, is only available in the CX-3. Good luck making a choice, but either will be a good one.
Why do you Americans need any more than 150bhp? Your roads have speed limits, 0-60 in 8 seconds or in 4 seconds, you will cruise at 60mph. So you're basically getting only 4 seconds per acceleration in exchange of all that gas money. I don't understand.
Damn that CVT noise :( even though it's proven to be more efficient and quicker, I still can't stand that whining CVT noise while accelerating. Which one is better? EX (K20C2 engine) with CVT or the EX-T (L15B7 turbo engine) with CVT. because I think the 2.0 would feel much lighter (given it has more displacement) when accelerating than the 1.5 turbo.
+HNRichard The low end torque from the turbo would feel much much lighter. Also, the reason gas mileage is good. As long as you dont rev the shit out of it. The moon roof was also vented during the video. It's actually much quieter
I absolutely hate when the refresh rate on the digital speedometer is so low there is lag between the numbers. Can't stand it. Feels so cheap, give me an analog any day
Usman Siddiqui Yep, most digital speedometers can't calculate and display the speed as fast as an analog can, that's why I like to have a mixture between the two, like in the Toyota 86 or the Miata. But I love the speedometer in the new Civic's.
Its is the case of right engine wrong transmission we all know half of us wish it had a regular 6 speed auto or the ilk's dual clutch, and the other half just doesnt care for performance and just care about the ride and comfort (half the people in this group like the cvt) and i cant complain honda made the cvt very good but wish it had a regular 6 speed auto or a dual clutch but the cvt's still good
+rsm nyc sadly, they're both just as fast. The civic gets better gas mileage and hold more stuff and people. The civic may even be nicer. Only way to know is to test drive both
I love this new format! You are talking enough, not too much not too less. I hate when car reviewers can't shut up and can't hear the engine but you are doing the talking part well. Keep it up guys
Redline Review? I like him he just complains too much.
Cordondre Brandenburg yes
Love these POV videos. It's like we're right in the driver's seat doing a test drive. I agree with the others, it's nice to hear your impressions as you're driving.
Very nice that you talk, now its interresting and more nice to watch the videos.
After years of telling us you hate how your voice sounds on camera, I love how you finally caved and narrate the entire video. Thanks, Chris!
Holy cow, he speaks lol not use to that.
lool ikr?
+fabian nolastname LOL that's what i'm thinking about when he suddenly speaks while driving as usual
lmaooo
I know right it’s a miracle. Lol Never thought he would actually speak in a video! Lol
Tanklar I can't wait to get my hands on the new Type-R. The new Civics look really good, so the R should look even better especially with 300HP.
The hate Honda as much as any other cars.
I honestly wish it sounded more like the Fit since they both use the same engine but with or without the turbocharger.
I like the mix of reviews and solely pov's. Keep up the great work winding road!
0-60 in 7 seconds! Not bad at all! Thank you for speaking, it makes such a huge difference in these reviews!
woah! he speaks, that's news! I had to double check if I was in the right channel.
I did too!
lol

Jason Caprio how's the navigation and speakers? Heard the speakers stop working ? And navigation is slow and gets lost?
The included Garmin navigation is really nice, however I prefer using Google Maps connected to my phone with Android Auto. Nearly 10K miles and never had any issue with Nav or Speakers. Sound is excellent. I wish the subwoofer was a tad bit stronger, but it sounds great either way.
Jason Caprio How is it holding up?
When I saw "POV Review" I had to click! Great video as always.
Get ready to take over the car reviewing game my man. Great talking points and telling it like it is. It's refreshing to listen to someone who isn't obsessed with hearing themselves talk. Great Job!
Glad to see this finally! Love my '16 Touring!
really like how you're giving your opinion on the car in the video too now! i've always liked these POV videos you guys make, but wished they included your opinion too. this is a dream come true!
I am a Toyota fan boy but, I have to admit this new gen Civic is the best in everything.
I think you talking is what I needed to finally subscribe, your channel was always go to when I was interested in learning more about a vehicle. Adding the review/talking for me at least makes it pretty viable content to watch when something new comes out. Glad to see the new generation civic is looking to be amazing. I've been subscribed for a while. I like this new concept.
I love these reviews with the test drive please keep them up :)
I really like this new format of video, keep up the good work :)
Hey man I really enjoyed the first person view test drive of the vehicle. Not a lot of people do that. Keep up the good work!
Wow 7 second 0-60... that's impressive.
it's not supposed to be a lamborghini
cmon dude dont be picky, haha
I think the original dude was genuinely impressed.... 7 seconds for a compact (or even some midsized) is really good
My stopwatch clocked in you doing 0 - 60 in 7.0 seconds. That's pretty good for an economy car.
Yes another review!!!! Keep them up guys we need more of them they are perfect!!!!
I really like that u talk in the video it makes the vidoes much more fun
I have a sedan touring as well. But I can not get under 28.4 mpg, but in California driving speed limit is unheard of!
Yea I almost didn't click on this because, I was thinking "oh, he doesn't talk in his vids" and pretty much don't watch any of them anymore...so when I heard you talk, i was pleasantly surprised....keep it up!

I really like when you talk in your videos keep it up your videos are awesome
So great to hear your voice
Good to see you take a different road.

Thanks for your review! I have been wanting this car for awhile now
I noticed this when his caddilac POV review came out then I watch Honda and here I am cause I knew he been talking in another vid
I really like this new Civic. I am strongly getting one as my daily driver.
Good to see you have common on the car!
Awesome. Like the review format.
Like the way you review it, thanks for posting it
the side mirrors look gigantic
Nice to have some comments during the video
Hey man, it's good to hear your voice. although it is the first time ..
0-60mph was 7 seconds flat, 8:00 - 8:07
rifleman542 that’s great
I wish he told us about differences between this and competitors such as Mazda 3, or even Accord. Do you agree?
+Yong Kim Well there is a video online comparing the Mazda 3 2016 with the Honda Civic 2016, and other than the fact that the Mazda 3 feels sportier, the Honda is more refined with more Tech included and a better CVT compared to the Automatic Transmission in the Mazda 3, but some reviewers say that the Civic Coupe 2016 is even better than the 4 door counterpart and feels way more sportier than the Mazda 3.
can't wait until you drive 2017 Hyundai Elantra
FYI the road noise you here is because the moonroof is in the vented mode. The car itself is pretty quite.
cool.. you should have introduced yourself first.. but anyway.. this is cool that you actually begining to talk.. i appreciate it..
I wanted to ask if you was able to do any snowy or icy driving with the Civic Touring. I live in Northern AZ and snow does happen and wonder if the wide, low stance hurts traction in slick conditions. Otherwise, love my Civic.

i've heard if you put the CVT in "L" you can get even better acceleration
Yusss, been waiting for this. I wish Honda would put this motor in a CRZ or something. 6-speed manual and that engine would be fantastic. Or maybe in a Fit, call it a Fit Si.
Do it Honda.
How does this rate compared to the 2017 Elantra sport?
I am buying a 2017 Honda Civic EX this year in about a month woot!!!
Hi what type of camera do you use in this video please ?
the blind spot on the center of the screen is that a part of a trim or optional???
is it truth some issues with the a/c vents right on top of the screen that it doesnt stay in the middle??? thanks
Please drive a new Murano and a 2011-2013 Ford Edge Sport (with the 22inch wheels). Would love to see that and hear your take.
Nice, like your videos
Many people have reported that eco mode actually yields worse mileage for some reason. I wonder what it would've been had you kept it off.
I love ur channel is the best
0:40 That sounds like my OHV V6 explorer. Doesn't get half the fuel economy though.
I really like this review .....
how does this compare to the mazda 3 gt? ive got one of them and itll be cool to see your opinion.
Nicest Civic yet!
I read the comments and see that everybody is not used to you ACTUALLY talking. My first thought was well.... ummm. did I play the wrong video? after watching another channel doing the civic.

The fit is getting the 1.0T
Still need to test drive the Mazda 3 and the civic. Having a tough time deciding.
The cvt in my civic touring is horrible.
its jerky, shudders at low speed and when you need some power
the thing jerks and barley bring the revs to where you want them.
also when put into drive the rpms surge up and then with a jerk drop down

pay close attention during a test drive if your looking to buy.
Hello , how much power for this 1.5 liter turbo?
174 Horsepower
thank you , thats alot for small cylinder :o
How does it compare to the 2017 Elantra 1.6 sport turbo?
This is really hard on a brand new car. Where’s the break-in at?
Hi. I would like to get your opinion between this new honda civic and the 2016 mazda cx3 you also drove recently which you have highly recom also. No one drive 60 tho...Lol.
orkun orbay
Because we're goddamn Americans, that's why.
Can you make a test drive of the 2016 Acura RDX and 2016 Audi A4.
is the turbocharge good for the engine tho?
Yea. Better fuel economy and accelerations
Damn that CVT noise :(
even though it's proven to be more efficient and quicker, I still can't stand that whining CVT noise while accelerating.

In the standard one does it come with paddles
it is a nice cruiser but i complain of considerable road noise and also wind noise on high speed over 50 mph did you notice this
thats very good that you explain
W8 so theres a manual n automatic for this model?
How is the handling in the corner?
Shocking commentary for the channel hopefully you stick with it
I love Honda.
I absolutely hate when the refresh rate on the digital speedometer is so low there is lag between the numbers. Can't stand it. Feels so cheap, give me an analog any day
Yea,it feels so fake
I actually love that. Makes it feel like I'm even outrunning technology, lol.
it's not the refresh rate nor is it lag its how fast the speed is calculated and displayed
Usman Siddiqui Yep, most digital speedometers can't calculate and display the speed as fast as an analog can, that's why I like to have a mixture between the two, like in the Toyota 86 or the Miata.
But I love the speedometer in the new Civic's.
Please Honda bring the hatch soon
Wow nice car 😳
Los número que aparecen en el tablero son kilometros por hora ó millas por hora ??? ...
Are they any Nissan coming soon???
People buy more of these and less of Accord. This is big enough for a lot of people. Parking is easier.
I like the talking
can you do a 2016 Nissan maxima
vote for your talk
Waiting on Honda for a Civic Si 6 speed manual! I hate CVT transmissions.
The CVT of the Civic is amazing
Please add Infiniti Q50 Sport
Putting Willow Run back on the map, huh?
how much weight can this car hold for people and objects
Still sounds loud road noise inside that hasn't changed..
I have been watching your videos for a while now and i like them. But i just have to ask.
Do you know what STOP means?
Its is the case of right engine wrong transmission we all know half of us wish it had a regular 6 speed auto or the ilk's dual clutch, and the other half just doesnt care for performance and just care about the ride and comfort (half the people in this group like the cvt) and i cant complain honda made the cvt very good but wish it had a regular 6 speed auto or a dual clutch but the cvt's still good
why noone is talking about this insane road noise. I have one of these 2016 civics and at least for me the road noise on highway is ridiculous.
Oh really? Is it that bad?
$25k Used 2014 IS250 with 20k miles or A New 2016 Civic Touring $25k..Which would you buy????
+rsm nyc sadly, they're both just as fast. The civic gets better gas mileage and hold more stuff and people. The civic may even be nicer. Only way to know is to test drive both
On the other gand the is250, without a doubt looks better. Depends whats more important to the individual
It's like the old one with more horsepower
