It's so nice to see your daughter so in love with books. You gave me an idea for embellishments I am struggling with and think I have the right printed paper to fussy cut for the job. Love the layout, so different. I'm not in love with gnomes but see it works here.
I'm so glad I could give you some ideas for your own projects even if gnomes aren't your thing. If the shapes aren't too complicated, fussy cutting patterned paper gives so many more options for embellishments without too much work. Have fun creating!
They are such good, classic books. I loved Curious George when I was a kid and remember checking out the hardcover books from the library, I'm glad they are still great books for kids. It makes me think I should do a Curious George page...that would be fun!
This is the cutest!!! I LOVE the fussy cut books made into a circle and cutting the title in half was the perfect solution. So many great tips and if anyone was debating the gnome die, you made it an easy decision lol
The shading on the gnome makes such a difference!! Especially the braids…wow! Super cute layout. I have many photos of my daughter with books too and haven’t documented her love of them yet. Great inspiration!
It's funny how a little shading does make a difference. It was hard to narrow down which reading pictures to use lol there are still a lot more I could scrapbook! Hopefully you get a chance to scrap some of yours too.
Wow! What an adorable layout! My grandkids are 4 & 3 and so into books and gnomes but I had no idea how to do a border using both-you figured it out perfectly for us all! Thanks Chelsea! You have such talent! Erin Skinner
Everything about this is super gorgeous! All the layers and combinations of the Autumn Papers and now you are making me want to get the Gnome Die as you have gone above and beyond to make her look sooooo good! Love it all!
Wow Chelsea! This is amazing! The shading on the gnome really makes her look real! As a former kindergarten teacher, and reading specialist, I love to see parents encouraging the love of reading ❤❤ Memorizing stories and retelling them is an important first step on their reading journey! 📚📚 Again, beautiful layout 😊
Thank you! I wasn't a huge fan of reading myself, but enjoyed hearing stories read to me, so I'm excited to encourage my daughter's love of books and reading. We've started working on letter sounds and she's picking it up super quickly. The world opens up when you are able to read!
Amazing! This is such an awesome layout!! I love reading books with my granddaughters. Their new favorite is “The Wonky Donkey!” I think you’ve inspired a new layout for me!
Love the details on the gnome, which make her so much more interesting with all the depth and shadows, etc.. What was the marker you use to blend the colors?
It really does add a lot with some simple shading. I was surprised the difference it made. I used the 0 colourless blender to blend out and soften colours. It pushes the colour and helps it fade.

So cute! My grandsons love Clifford and Curious George, too! Love how you used the fussy cut books!

Haha I debated getting the gnome too, but I'm glad I got her. She was really fun to create with!
Great page and I love your bubbly energy! The books look amazing as a wreath!
Thank you so much!
Great design! I like how you split the title. It looks like a bookmark!
That was totally unintentional, but it totally does look like a bookmark!

What a great idea! I love your book wreath. Thanks for sharing.
It was really easy to make and I'm glad I could find a way to use that busy book paper a little bit differently.
This is so cute! Your blending skills are amazing!
Thank you! When using a single colour, the brush nib really does help blend out the colour easier. I hope you give it a try!
Great tip on using alcohol markers in die cut pieces! Forgot about this neat tip! Thanks for the reminder and inspo!! Great layout!
It really adds that extra little pop! Plus that little gnome is such a cutie, so I couldn't resist! lol
Great job! I love everything. Wonderful use of products and the gnome shaded looks great.
