    40,000 extra NHS appointments a week is not enough. The waiting list is 7.5million. It would take over 3.5 years to eliminate that waiting list and that’s not even taking into account any increases in demand.

    Labour (Keir Rodney Starmer) intend to apply a hefty VAT to private schools, this includes special educational needs schools so if you have children like we do who go to a private special needs school because they have special needs, then you will be demolished by his tax on it, and will have to remove them and home school them. We have tried this week to call local schools to accept them but they have told us they don’t have the facilities to accept them, so Keir Starmer is totally ignorant of our needs as parents, he thinks he is doing it to the ‘posh’ kids but has no idea he is wrecking special needs kids chances. Crushing.

    Big class rooms for younger people don't tend to be optimal, big care homes for children can be split into smaller homes for smaller groups of children resembling family's. That way they can goto school and learn their way in the crowd without a second big group distraction just the family sized group they are used to when they go home. This would not leave one feeling unloved and with often educational holes.

      Labour isn't going to reduce taxes, it's going to be the same if not worse than what we had under Tories because if you take anything away from this, they want to spend a lot of money without reducing taxes. Pair that with their Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves who said in 2019 she wants to double the Capital Gains Tax threshold from 28% to 40-45%. People don't realise how this hurts working class people, Capital Gains Tax is a way for working class to invest their pay-check into assets and realise profits paying lower taxes. This is generally the way people can escape poverty in society because income is taxed so highly. Also Starmer has a track record of lying like his counterpart so expect him to change what he says before the election after he is elected.
      The answer to lower taxes is going to be a vote for Reform. Cons and Labour are the same and I say this as someone whose been a Labour supporter for most of their life.

    When councils enforce a license on landlords,
    when the government charges a 3% extra stamp duty on second homes,,
    when landlords cant claim interest on their mortgage as an expense , and instead pay tax to the government
    That leads to the increae in rents
    and shortage of homes you have been seeing
    When a 10% pay rise was given to the nhs who went on strike ,
    It meant we have 10% less staff,
    10% more waiting times.
    The only way to fund that is from you and me paying 10% more tax . Can we ?
    Doctors are leaving for Australia and Dubai because they are taxed more in the UK amongst other reasons.

    • @TrezenEN
      @TrezenEN หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      The councils to which you are referencing have their budgets set by the Government, which for the past 14 years has been the tories, and they have slashed council budgets to a point where councils simply cannot function properly.
      You need to look at how Labour managed the country from 1997 to 2010, rather than how a Labour council with it's hands tied behind it's back have struggled under the tories.
      Economic growth was consistently strong under Labour. Gordon Brown, the chancellor, presided over 47 consecutive quarters of economic growth. This was an incredible feat, and one that allowed Britain to flourish, whether it was in education, universities, wages or public services such as the NHS. Under the tories, everything was slashed to the bare bone, such as the councils you speak of, and nothing works.
      It is a very simple choice that you have in this general election. I know that you may feel like hope has been lost, but you need to believe that we can be better. We all need to just have a little faith.

    • @funkydinosaur
      @funkydinosaur หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think you're both putting blame in the wrong place. The collapsing councils are due to Tory cuts to council funding. That's exactly what austerity was.
      In between 2010 & 2020, nationwide, councils lost an average 50% of their funding (and that's a medium average. I.e. half of all councils lost more than that).
      Just to give a specific example; Nottingham’s Government Revenue Support Grant in 2013 was £127 million. For 2024, it is £31 million.
      What do you both think the Labour councils should have done differently when they were losing in between 50-85% of their entire government finding?
      We badly need the Torys gone for good and tactical voting is the best way to make that happen.

    People may vote for Labour, but under Mr. Starmer, the NHS, migration, and economy are likely to worsen. Rachel Reeves' budget and forecasts could lead to significant problems in 2-3 years. While Labour might offer free meals and some financial support, this could promote laziness and unemployment, leading to a nightmare scenario for the economy, inflation, jobs, NHS, housing and migration.
