Hey. I was a Fentanyl addict for 17 years. I went cold turkey, it was rough. . I’m clean now for seven years . I went through a family over dose. It’s hard. You have to forgive yourself and everyone your holding hurtful feelings. Let it go. Call dad and start your life over. Please don’t waste anymore time. I’ll be praying for you.

What you wrote is probably the difference between going on risking life, and going to another treatment or ten, until he has enough of this total mess. Another advantage he has is music which is a very powerful tool to use, similar to bombs used for tunneling and other jobs, not killing civilians in Palestine.

As a former heroin addict, I can tell you that he's probably been hearing this every day since he first picked up a drug. It doesn't matter what ANYBODY says; especially not a stranger on the internet. We get clean whenever we wake up and DECIDE that we ACTUALLY wanna get clean.
We spend the entire time *wanting* to get sober, sure. But there's a shift that HAS to happen within ourselves, and no matter external words will ever be the causality to that. It comes from inside of us and isn't prompted by words.

AJ, please do whatever u have to do to get clean. Fentanyl/opiates are soooo dangerous. For me, what helped was getting far away from my using friends, rehab, sober living( Oxford house). It takes a while to learn how to :…….live sober, To find fun in everyday life, to face your own problems and be willing to see yourself clearly, Being brutally honest with yourself and be willing to do the hard things. Maybe you missed the memo, but there's ample amounts of research concluding that attractive people do better in life. Generally, they often get better jobs and on average are higher paid, even easier for them to get hired at times. They tend to be more successful, they tend to be more socially liked, etc. It's a major advantage. There's nothing wrong with saying that the guys got an advantage over other people, so if anything it's almost a dig. So get off your virtual signaling and accept reality and wish the lad all the best and be grateful that he might have a bit of an advantage that might help him get his life together and get a leg up. Stop with your righteousness, the young man bring the subject himself in the video (ffs he says himself ruining his looks is one of the thing that concerns him the most about his drug use).
It's not superficial to think and say he could model. It's the other way around.
This young man, AJ, is objectively very pretty according to western societies standards. He could it is true, model.
As a society we treat people differently based on their attractiveness and that's from day one of a human life.
Numerous studies have shown that even at daycare, caregivers give more attention, are more patient etc with the prettier babies. And so on and so forth.
AJ's personality and life have been molded, in part, by the fact that he's pretty.

What is "hippie" about saying his looks have nothing to do with addiction problems. For everyone with addiction or trauma, it starts with what happens to your mind and brain.
You are hurt over someone saying it's not about looks ffs. Grow up and go and talk to any person with addiction or mental health problems, and they will never say, "It doesn't matter , at least I'm still pretty."
Western standards??? What has the got to do with addiction and trauma , what has his looks got to do with his current situation, do you think his looks will save him ?....think before you speak because there are more people agreeing with me than there are you.
Oh, and yes , he could model, what a great positive industry that is for people with mental health issues and addiction problems .
Get your head out of your ass and deal with the real world. Society says many things, but that doesn't help with all of the current problems in the Western world does it .
If people care about someone's looks being a care giver or teacher , I'd say there is a problem in of itself.

This beautiful boy reminds me of my son. He was also a talented musician and had music on SoundCloud and was articulate, sensitive and loving. He overdosed at 23 in LA 2 years ago. He went to rehab 3 times. Every time his addiction got worse. He was never homeless, quite the opposite. Watching this makes me so sad that no one is hugging this boy and telling him he is lovable and worth fighting for. But more than anything AJ has to learn to love himself and believe his life is worthwhile. Community, family and faith are more powerful than any rehab. They are the true sponsors of our lives. I pray he finds his way before it's too late. Toxic supply is the true pandemic and there is no vaccine.

Stealing and such a hardcore addict he also might not see the need to work. Again I like your comment but i can't believe so many people are like he's a good smart guy. When people who look different not necessarily race (but sometimes) but just look bad people tend to be vile. I'm just making an observation. And he's stealing drugs I'm assuming from a dealer 🙄. He might have been smart in high school but he's going downhill fast. I'm judging i know. I'm not even gonna deny it. Go to rehab! Soon! seems entitled to me

@@hydraflora1342 Maybe the truth is partly this, partly that - it’s complicated. It’s definitely possible to be entitled and suffer at the same time. I think one of AJ’s worst problems is his pride. He denies himself the help he needs and continues to ‘behave badly’ and come up with 100s excuses and apologies fuelling his self hate. A vicious circle. But I can’t see this circle end without him having some love as well as a much needed ‘cleansing the air’ with dad. Some self respect and boundaries too.

AJ! I PROMISE you that your whole life is ahead of you. At times, as addicts, we can “forget” how hard this is on our families, and parents; specifically. If and only IF and when you decide that you’re ready to end this absolute madness, call your dad, and ask for help. I would NOT be sober without the community of AA, so NA is always going to be there.
While my family was mad at me during active addiction - I can’t tell you how magical and beautiful my relationships with my loved ones are NOW, & there is no one who is prouder than our loved ones for us!🫶🤍🫶 I’m praying for you ❤

I am very sorry that you lacked the guidance you needed and deserved growing up. As a mother, it upsets me to hear that you were allowed to drink and party at such a young age with no consequences.
As far as your Dad now, so many guests on this channel do not have any support, so if your father and/or sister are willing to be there for you right now, please consider that kind of emotional support. Any issues with Dad can be worked on after the intense part of rehab.

I am 30 as of last night or whatever and I’m 23 days clean at 7am. I didn’t go to Rehab. I don’t battle the idea of relapse. I gave myself goals and told myself that I am capable of them as long as I work for them everyday. I write, sing, rap, freestyle, study, read, learn every single day while maintaining my household. And was saved by my best friend in the whole world, who has housed me during my drug addiction and mental health issues and conditions. And I finally woke up from it after being on the cusp of death. You can do this AJ, and I was lucky to have an easy allowance of fortune and love, which isn’t accessible for anyone in these shoes, but for some reason I was given the chance to fight off my own death. Bless you. I would love to make some music with you one day, even if I just make you some beats once I attain the program and keyboard again that I forfeited to addiction. But that’ll be sooner than later. All I want in return is absolutely nothing. Making music is my nectar and has given my soul value and confidence that I can be a beautiful person eventually. You're insightful, articulate and smart. Just because you had no guidance growing up doesnt mean that you can't have a wonderful future. Let people help you. Give therapy a chance ❤

You're a brave man, AJ, to be so honest and to let yourself be seen. I can see heart, hope and goodness in you. I hope you can get to a place to see that and live that for yourself as well. Best to you.

Such a clearly sensitive, articulate & gentle young man. You’ve had so much trauma from an early age. This is why you’re in such pain. Psychological & emotional pain. Please call or visit your father and seek his advice. Get off the streets, you’ll face death too often. See you’re sister. Love yourself. Know you can have a better time in life. ❤

Oh gosh what potential this guy has. Please try and get back into music and song writing because your soul will provide the inspiration and you can inspire us all.

AJ could be a model, he's such a good looking young man. I hope he mends his relationship with his dad and get's help with his addiction. I have seen 20 year old fentanyl addicts get clean, you can do it AJ. Your a good person, you have a good heart, it's okay, one day at a time, you have so much potential. God bless.

He’s very handsome and well spoken. My son just died of cancer and he tried so hard to keep surviving, so I kind of resent people who have everything going for them but choose to throw their lives away.

You know nothing about drug addiction. Hopefully, he will find the road out but many find it impossible to overcome.

My sincere condolences to you. I totally understand how someone who is not caring about their lives upsets you , especially since your son cared so much about life and would have given anything to stay alive-as you would of done anything to make that possible too. Again, so very sorry for your loss. No mother should outlive their child.

So sorry to hear of your loss. It’s so frustrating, when addicts are to proud to get the help they could have. I wish you happy memories of your son.

Its so hard to understand people who are self destructing. Your son had a base of love. This young man did not. Hopefully that helps with understanding. Love and healing. ❤

It is Heartbreaking seeing such a Beautiful young man whom seems smart, self aware and Articulate on such a dark path heading fast to nowhere. I hope that someone who sees this video can reach out and help him. These videos and the Interviews have open my eyes and I see them in such a different light. It had been an amazing project. I will pray and never forget this young man.💕🐺
